Kelly Clarkson wants us all to have a merry little Christmas - and one of our favorite singers has just gone a long way toward helping us accomplish that goal.

The original American Idol has released a new music video, this one in honor of "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)."

The incredibly talented 29-year old stages a global flash mob in the video, actually using footage provided to her by fans after she posted the following message on her blog, which accompanied the video's choreography:

"I'd like everyone to join me in my global flash mob... Learn it with me and get your cameras ready to record you and your friends rocking these moves in a unique location that shows where you are in the world. Submit your clip using the form below and maybe you'll see it in my music video!!"

Give us Kelly Clarkson standing at a microphone, simply singing, and we'd be thrilled. The original American Idol possesses that kind of sheer talent.

But the artist took to the stage at last night's American Music Awards in a shiny, beautiful dress and was flanked by a series of brass instruments, along with back-up dancers that took their cue from the early 20th century musical Newsies.

It was a fun, jazzy rendition of "Mr. Know It All" that still showcased Clarkson's incredible voice. Watch for yourself now:

Kelly Clarkson is not gay. But she's also never been in love with a man and that's why this singer thinks there's a rumor out there about her sexuality.

Appearing on The View yesterday to hype her new album, the original American Idol cited her hometown of Burleson, Texas and explained:

"I'm from a small town so, like, everyone's married with children or about to have children. So it's a little hard when you go home and people are like - and that's why people think I'm gay - because they're like 'Why aren't you married?' And I'm like, 'it doesn't happen for everyone right off the bat.'"

Kelly Clarkson has taken a break from singing about love to talk about love, admitting in a new interview: I've never been in it!

"I've never been in love," the artist tells USA Today. "I've never experienced certain things, and I think that's because I have this side of me that is shut off. Because I haven't found anybody yet to open to that I feel like, 'OK, you're worth breaking down that wall for.' I've never found that."

"I have no controversy," Kelly says. "You don't see me in rehab, or you don't see me coming out with my hey-haw showing. There's not much to report."
