Kellan Lutz has every reason to be proud of his body. Seriously, look at that thing.

But the actor admits he was a bit hesitant to bare almost everything for a recent Calvin Klein underwear campaign. The reason?

"Now my nude ass is going to be all over billboards, we'll see what my mother thinks," he joked to Us Weekly about the shoot.

Not only is it true that the Twilight Saga star appears nearly naked (alongside True Blood star Mehcad Brooks, Spanish tennis player Fernando Verdasco and Japanese athlete Hidetoshi Nakata) in the ads... but they'll be officially released in 3D on March 1.

While he might be a bit embarrassed at the next family function, Lutz is the perfect shill for Calvin Klein. Again, just look at the guy's body. And now listen to him talk about the garments.

"You know I've done other fittings where you have to wear underwear and you're kind of uncomfortable because they look funny or it doesn't fit well. That's the difference with Calvin Klein. They fit great, they're snug and they hold everything in and you look good," he said.

Point taken, but let's be real: Kellan would look good in a Snuggie.

Sometimes, reality fails to match the hype.

For many, this was the case with Apple's latest innovation, the iPad.

Fortunately, it's not remotely true for Kellan Lutz's Calvin Klein campaign, the reports about which had readers anxiously counting down the days until they could see this actor in his underwear.

They now can - and the result is as steamy as one could imagine! Lutz stars in the company's new X ad spot, which officially launches on March 1. Ogle the shirtless star below:

How did Lutz get in shape for this campaign?

"I swear, candy helps! Gummy bears!" he said last month. "It helps fight the hunger of higher calorie foods, but it is bad for the teeth."

Bu it's clearly good for the chest... and abs... and biceps... and deltoids...

But time spent at a wilderness lacrosse camp will do wonders for Conor's world view, along with his relationship with Brooklyn - played by New Moon co-star Ashley Greene!

The Twilight Saga hunk has signed on for his next movie role: he'll play Moore's husband in Love, Wedding, Marriage.

In the romantic comedy, Moore stars as a marriage counselor whose parents have recently separated. She puts her own relationship in jeopardy by trying to reunite them.

Actor Dermot Mulroney will direct the film, which starts shooting next month in New Orleans.

Lutz has said he wants to become the next action star. But this seems like a solid career move for the actor, who looks REALLY good with his shirt off.

It's the year of the vampire.

In the latest issue of Cosmopolitan, the magazine features its "Fun Fearless Males" of 2010 - and a pair of pretend blood suckers lead the way.

Paul Wesley and Kellan Lutz grace the issue's cover, as each opens up about random topics (Lutz on his vices: "I need sugar all the time and I’m obsessed with lip balm." Wesley on single life: "I can relate to being in love with one person. Dating around never appealed to me.") and each simply looks smoldering.

For the last couple weeks, The Hollywood Gossip has looked back at 2009 by naming the finalists for our prestigious, 3rd Annual Celebrity of the Year award.

In this section, we've been paying tribute to the unique stars that made the past 12 months so memorable for gossip followers across the nation and globe.

Now, following last edition's selection of Miley Cyrus in the #2 spot, we've finally reached the top. Drumroll please...

For 2009, THG's Celebrity of the Year is... the New Moon cast!

Critics might say we're copping out by choosing more than one star for this honor, but come on. Everyone involved with the Twilight Saga deserves recognition for turning a book series into the most popular, buzzed-about film franchise in years.

This doesn't always happen. Remember The Golden Compass? Probably not. Starring Nicole Kidman, it was meant as the first installment in a trilogy based on Philip Pullman's His Dark Material novels. A second movie was never even made.

So, what enabled New Moon to gross over $660 million worldwide? A cast of young, fresh, gorgeous, talented and seemingly grounded individuals. Below, we note each actor's 2009 accomplishments:

Robert Pattinson: Might as well start at the top. The British actor has grown into a global phenomenon. He can't walk away from a film set without being followed by countless paparazzi members, his every interaction with women is chronicled like it's a Presidential summit and he was named one of People's 50 Most Beautiful People of 2009.

Over the course of a few months, Pattinson covered Entertainment Weekly, Harper's Bazaar, OK! Weekly, Vanity Fair and Rolling Stone. He's also dating...

Kristen Stewart: She broods, therefore she is. While Stewart had already appeared in a critically-acclaimed movie (Into the Wild) prior to landing the role of Bella Swan, she took on a cult following after her performance in New Moon. Millions of women around the world both love her and hate her for bagging Pattinson, but one thing is clear: they can't take their eyes off her.

Taylor Lautner: He dated Taylor Swift. He rarely wore a shirt. He was actually able to recruit girls away from Team Edward for Team Jacob, based on his bulked-up role in New Moon. Lautner has already signed on for two new movies and appears to have a huge career ahead of him.

Ashley Greene: The actress almost broke the Internet when naked photos of her were leaked online.

Nikki Reed: Probably the least known main star of the franchise. But she's dating Paris Latsis, Paris Hilton's ex, and has been involved in numerous THG Fashion Face-Offs.

Kellan Lutz: Has the best young body in Hollywood and wants to be the next Jason Bourne. Has been involved with 90210 star AnnaLynne McCord and... did we mention his body?

But Kellan Lutz has been chosen as the next spokesperson for Calvin Klein underwear. The Twilight Saga star won't be doing a lot of speaking on the company's behalf, however.

"He’s going to be their new Mark Wahlberg," an insider told Fox411.com. "Kellan has been signed to Calvin Klein for a huge campaign that will feature him in his skivvies all over billboards and in magazines."

The source is referring to the iconic 1992 campaign that pretty much put Wahlberg on the map. Yes, ladies, Lutz will be duplicating the shot below at some point next year...

The actor has posed before for Abercrombie & Fitch, but those posters weren't as revealing as the proposed Calvin Klein photos. Said the same insider:

“The executives have a plan to model the ads very similarly after the famous Mark Wahlberg campaign in the 90’s. They want to recreate the look of the hugely successful ads, and who is better than Kellan Lutz to fill out those little underwear?”

With apologies to Taylor Lautner shirtless, the answer is simple: nobody.
