Katy Perry has released her music video for "Unconditionally," and while her smash hit single "Roar" was jungle-themed ... this one features an owl subplot.

She dropped the video last night with this Tweet: "Yes, unconditional love sometimes feels like being hit by a car... Or being on fire... How does it feel to you?"

Both of the aforementioned incidents happen to Perry in the video, which is a real hoot, if you follow. We're going for an owl-themed play on words.

Watch the "Unconditionally" music video below and see for yourself:

Katy Perry previous said that she wanted this video to focus on both "beauty and glamor," and be unlike "Roar" or anything she's produced in the past.

Mission accomplished. Touching on all the different elements, fans will see the lovely singer in different settings while emotionally singing into the camera.

The high-production music video provides plenty of artistic imagery, while being partially inspired by her romance with John Mayer (no, he doesn't appear).

What do you think of Katy Perry's "Unconditionally" video?

Katy Perry and Robert Pattinson singing karaoke together in a classic video from 2008 has surfaced, and to fans of either star it's nothing short of awesome.

The only bad thing is that it's only a minute and a half long. Check it out:

The friends shared the stage for a duet on Boyz II Men's "I'll Make Love to You" while celebrating a mutual friend's birthday at Dimples, a Burbank karaoke bar.

They start off in separate chairs, but at one point Katy Perry decides that her chair is "too high to make love" and climbs onto the Twilight star's lap.

Which is great for comedic effect, and because of the occasional Katy Perry and Robert Pattinson rumors that surface in the celebrity gossip world.

Other highlights of this vintage viral video classic:

  • Katy in her hipster-style checked winter hat!
  • Rob really going for some of the big notes!
  • The fact that neither of them sound like professional singers at all, which is the whole point of karaoke, but in this case one of them actually is.

Hundreds of lip-dub videos are dedicated to covering Katy Perry's hit song "Roar," with the star promising to perform live at the high school with the best one.

This one is different, though.

It's not from a school, but it celebrates the meaning behind the #1 song like never before, and Katy Perry would no doubt be proud to have inspired it.

Patients, nurses, doctors, staff and administrators at the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock in New Hampshire all assembled for this effort. Watch:

The video, shot in one day, captures almost all the kids at CHaD who were "feeling well enough to get out of bed and dance," according to local media.

Funds raised through sharing of the video will benefit the CHaD Hero Half Marathon. So far, the response has been astounding - upwards of $650,000.

For more information on how you can help their efforts, visit their donation site, and just share the video with someone. It's fun and for a great cause.

Katy Perry’s new album Prism is looking like a smorgasbord of genres.

From over-the-top pop anthems (“Roar”) to quasi-rap (“Dark Horse” with Juicy J) and now the club banger “Walking On Air,” this thing's got it all!

"Walking on Air" was produced by Klas Ahlund, a Swedish songwriter-producer who has teamed with Ke$ha, Vanessa Hudgens, Robyn and Madonna.

The latest release, which hit the web yesterday, finds Katy Perry adopting the persona of the great British club divas of a bygone era. Can she pull it off?

Give “Walking On Air” a listen and tell us what you think:

Katy Perry loves John Mayer. He's a smart guy, according to the pop star.

"He literally is a genius, as is evident from his songwriting," Perry tells Billboard magazine, in which she also promotes her highly anticipated album PRISM.

"I always tell him, 'Darling, you know I'm going to have to give your mind to science after you've passed, because we're going to have to understand how all these sparks work.'"

You may vomit on cue. But keep the bag handy, because it continues:

"We'll be in bed, and he'll be doing the crossword puzzle. Every night, he tries to finish in under 10 minutes," she says. "When he puts his mind to something, he really gets it done very well."

Hear Katy Perry "Roar," indeed. The pop superstar's latest hit single has officially wrested the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 from Robin Thicke.

Thicke's "Blurred Lines" had a 12-week run at the top - one of only 14 tracks ever to keep the #1 spot that long - but as the summer ends, so did its reign.

Katy Perry‘s “Roar” has doned “Blurred Lines” in, with the first release from her upcoming album Prism marking her eighth #1 on the Hot 100 career.

Her last #1 was 2012′s “Part Of Me.” Katy's most recent single, “Wide Awake,” peaked at #2 on the Hot 100 last year ... a relative disappointment for her.

“Roar” has so such problems, selling 448,000 digital downloads last week alone and gaining strength ever since release. It's a champion, you could say.

As an artist, she certainly doesn't lack for effort, theatrics and production value. Watch the just-released Katy Perry "Roar" music video above!

Amazingly, she may have met expectations with this fun Tarzan-themed effort. It certainly doesn't lack for production value, or visual stimulation.

"Roar" is undoubtedly the "champion" video she promised. Watch:

Between the beautiful jungle scenery, the cute animals, and Katy Perry's beautiful and cute jungle attire, well, there's not a lot to dislike if you heart Katy Perry.

Which we do. And we are not afraid to admit this.

Fresh off Sunday's show-stopping (and ending) Katy Perry VMA performance, we have more news to "Roar" about: A teaser for her new music video!

Spoiler alert: She's got the eye of the tiger ... and is dressed up like one.

The 28-year-old pop superstar teased her fans that the clip would debut during the much-hyped 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, and she delivered.

Take a look at it below (and await the video's September 17) release:

She showed off some serious thigh. She debuted a grill. She stole the show performing under the Brooklyn Bridge in a sports bra and boxing shorts.

Katy Perry, everyone!

The star closed out the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards with a rendition of her new hit single, "Roar," her first performance of the show anywhere:

The girl power anthem, which has drawn comparisons to Sara Bareilles' "Brave", has been a huge seller out of the gate, and earned raves on Twitter Sunday.

Did Katy Perry's VMA performance deserve them? Watch above and tell us:

We've heard her roar, but do you think her new song is a champion?

Katy Perry's "Roar" has won the battle of the new hit pop singles, at least in their opening week, outpacing Lady Gaga's latest release, "Applause."

Perry is a champion, as proclaimed, and her fans' collective "Roar" has propelled her to more than 525,000 downloads of her latest mega-single.

Somewhere, Perez Hilton is celebrating so hard.

That's compared to an estimated 200,000 to 225,000 sales expected for Lady Gaga, Billboard reports. So is "Applause" more like a slow clap?

The release of today's Lady Gaga "Applause" music video might help her cause ("Roar" doesn't have one yet), but for now, Katy is winning big time.

Maybe Little Monsters didn't satisfy (people, or expectations).
