Actress Katherine Heigl can't wait for her wedding day this coming Sunday - if only so that the marathon planning sessions will finally come to an end.

The Grey's Anatomy star told Extra that she's more than ready for her big day, albeit a little nervous. So basically, she's like any bride-to-be.

Heigl and Baby

"We've talked a lot about it, like, 'Are you having any second thoughts? And [her fiance Josh Kelley] is like, 'No, I'm so ready for this to happen.' It's already been 18 months of planning, and we're both just ready for this to happen already."

The last-minute arrangements are proving to be hair-raising, however.

"I'm mostly panicking about all the many details, and getting there, traveling, transportation, talking to the pastor, getting the license," she says.

Her worst wedding-day fear? "Not being present in the moment, you know? Like, building it up so much you can't really enjoy the moment you're in."

Katherine Heigl will be a married woman in five days!

Once the wedding is over, the Golden Globe nominee and her musician groom may very well embark on a different kind of planning - for having kids.

"I'm super excited to start a family," Katherine Heigl said. "I've always wanted a family, a large family. But I say that now!"

Katherine stars in the upcoming romantic comedy 27 Dresses, opening January 11. She won raves for her portrayal of Alison in Knocked Up, in which she and Seth Rogen conceived a child. What about having kids in real life?

In a separate interview with Entertainment Tonight, Heigl says she wants to be a mom in a year's time. Josh Kelley, though, is pushing for two years.

Says the prospective mother-to-be: "We'll meet somewhere in the middle."

Katherine Heigl is as outspoken as she is hot.

This can be good and bad. She did not hesitate to lambast Isaiah Washington for his gay slurs on the set, and will be the first to admit that her Grey's Anatomy character's recent story lines suck worse than Jessica Sierra during a routine traffic stop. But Heigl also comes off a tad pompous in a new interview with Vanity Fair.

In the magazine's January issue, Heigl says that this summer's hit comedy, Knocked Up, which stars herself and Seth Rogen, is a little sexist because it "paints women as humorless and uptight, and paints men as lovable, goofy, fun-loving guys."

Katherine Heigl is certainly never one to hold back.

"It exaggerated the characters, and I had a hard time with it, some days," Heigl adds. "I'm playing such a bitch; why is she being such a killjoy? Why is this how you're portraying women? ... It was hard for me to love the movie."

Well, come on. Who wouldn't be?

Besides crazy fans of Isaiah Washington?

Katherine Heigl at New Year's Even Premiere

Anyway, over a year into his engagement to the Emmy Award winning Katherine Heigl, singer Josh Kelley is ready to start a family.

"I always thought I'd be scared, but I'm ready," Kelley said. "I'm 27, and I feel as though I've done more than most people will do in a lifetime. I'm ready to settle down, start a family and build a little Kelley empire."

The couple, who met when Heigl appeared in a music video for Kelley's song "Only You," got engaged in June 2006.

Kelley is certain that the 28-year-old Grey's Anatomy and Knocked Up star, who he will reportedly wed in December, is the right one.

"She's so great," he says of Katherine Heigl and himself. "We're kind of carbon copies of each other in some ways, and we also have our differences."

"I just finished an album called Special Company, which takes me through the emotional roller coaster of getting married," he said. "I'm becoming a real man."

Kelley was performing in Las Vegas Sunday, as part of the Hennessey Artistry Concert Tour, and couldn't be in L.A. to see his girlfriend win the award for best supporting actress in a drama at the Emmys. But he got the news immediately.

"My manager put her phone up to her TV so I could hear her speech accepting the award," he said. "It's beautiful. She works so hard, and she's so deserving of it."

The couple soon spoke by phone, and it was clear the actress was over the moon. "I couldn't even understand what she was saying, she was so excited," Kelley says.

Without a doubt, Judd Apatow's Knocked Up is one of the year's funniest films. Even if some of the dialogue is not, well, for the faint of heart.

In this hilarious deleted scene from Knocked Up, Katherine Heigl and Jonah Hill discuss the merits (or lack thereof) of another well-known movie.

In short, the young stoner laments to the blonde the disturbing lack of flamboyant, graphic man love in the acclaimed cowboy flick, Brokeback Mountain.

Hill now stars with Michael Cera in the new comedy Superbad. Heigl can be seen as Izzie Stevens every Thursday on Grey's Anatomy on ABC.

There may be a 10-year age gap, a nine-inch height difference, and many thousand miles between their native Australia and Connecticut.

But thanks to matching golden locks and flawless skin, 5-foot-flat Aussie pop icon Kylie Minogue (left), 38, could double as a "mini-me" of sorts for 5-foot-9 Grey's Anatomy surgical intern and Knocked Up star Katherine Heigl (right).

What do you think? See the resemblance?

Eh, maybe not. But give us a break, alright?

Keep in mind that we've recently linked Jennifer Toof, a.k.a. "Toastee" to Mena Suvari, sellout chef Rachael Ray to teen idol Miley Cyrus, and Mary-Kate Olsen to ET. Yes, the alien. This is mostly for fun. And an excuse to talk about Katherine Heigl. Man she's hot!

Next up? A comparison of Daimon Shippen to an SNL's unfrozen caveman lawyer. After that? Those supposedly "controversial" and "nude" Amy Polumbo photos to pictures that any college girl in America has taken. Only Amy's are more vanilla.

Katherine Heigl is in the news these days for starring on a hit show and contributing to hilarious Knocked Up quotes from this summer's funniest movie.

Paris Hilton is in the news these days for being a spoiled former jailbird that got released from prison because the system caters to those with money.

A Trashy Shopper

In other words: These two stars are a tad different from one another.

But not always. As you can see below, each seems to go for the same celebrity fashion look from time to time.

We assume Heigl has no interest in resembling Hilton in any way, but she may have been too distracted by the recent Isaiah Washington mess to think much about her wardrobe. That's okay, though.

We're sure Seth Rogen would still do her.

Paris, meanwhile, sucks more than Antonella Barba. But she also has other things to worry about aside from wearing the same outfit as a fellow celeb.

After all, she's totally mentally unstable, remember?

On the outside, Katherine Heigl looks like a perfectly manicured poolside goddess. She's tan, fit, blond and wearing serious bling on her finger.

But don't be fooled. This 28-year-old TV and movie star knows how to get down and dirty. Mess with her, and she will throw down. Got a problem with that?

Katherine Heigl, Family

Glamour (which somehow named Victoria Beckham Woman of the Year - WTF - sat down with Katherine Heigl to talk about her rise to the top of the Hollywood heap.

Glamour: You've had a pretty crazy year at Grey's Anatomy. What prompted you to chastise Isaiah Washington?

Katherine Heigl: At the time, I was a girl whose best friend had been hurt. I was mad. I'd had a glass or two of champagne, and an interviewer asked me about it. I knew I wasn't playing the political game. The network wants us to promote a healthy, happy environment, and I'm usually all for that. But that particular incident infuriated me, and I couldn't hold my tongue. I think it's pathetic there's still so much bigotry in 2007. I would speak out again if the situation arose.

Glamour: How did people react to your statement?

Katherine Heigl: There was so much encouragement and gratitude. The man who designed my engagement ring, Ryan, and his partner, Ken, wrote me a letter thanking me for standing up for them.

When I read that letter, I realized the issue was larger than what happened to T.R. Knight, and I started to understand how very alone so many people have felt.

Glamour: Now you're starring in Knocked Up with Paul Rudd and Seth Rogen. You play a woman who gets pregnant after a one-night stand. What was it like to work with them?

Katherine Heigl: It was the best experience. I had to be on my toes, some of the scenes were improvised and the stuff they came up with was so outrageous. In one scene, I got into a fight with [Seth Rogen] about the way my body was changing. He said, "Don't worry, we'll pay for vaginal reconstruction." That's what came out of his mouth, unscripted!

Glamour: Was it weird to feel pregnant?

Katherine Heigl: No, the prosthetic belly felt so fake. Plus, my character was super-in-shape, so I had to lose 10 pounds for the role. When I do get pregnant, I'm sure I'll be the chick who looks pregnant from her ankles up!

THG NOTE: See Salma Hayek.

Glamour: Was it hard to lose weight for a role?

Katherine Heigl: It was awful! I remember once reading an article about Jessica Alba - who must be the most beautiful, most in-shape person alive - and how committed she was to her regimen. And I thought, There's no way in hell that will ever be me. I can't eat only fish and vegetables or work out seven days a week. Then suddenly I was that person and I was shocked. But I could never maintain it. I like food too much!

THG NOTE: Bet Cash Warren sure is glad Jessica Alba doesn't!

Glamour: How do you ignore all the messages in Hollywood to stay rail-thin?

Katherine Heigl: When I see some of the people glorified in magazines these daysâ€"who are so thin it's bordering on sickness â€" I just feel exhausted. I would hate to think that young girls in high schools across America think that's what they're supposed to look like.

THG NOTE: Oh. Snap. You heard Katherine, Kate Bosworth. You too, Nicole Richie. You're officially on notice, bitches!

Glamour: Who do you think has a healthy-looking body?

Katherine Heigl: Jennifer Aniston and Halle Berry are in amazing shape. They look phenomenal but don't look sick. Then there's Kate Winslet: So confident, beautiful, talented, sexy. She owns it. I read an interview she gave about how the industry wanted her to lose weight; she basically gave them the finger and said no.

Katherine Heigl says Isaiah Washington apologized to her - and thanked her - on the set of Grey's Anatomy after she denounced his use of a gay slur.

"Isaiah thanked me, which I didn't understand," the 28-year-old actress told Entertainment Weekly. "He was almost grateful. I don't know Isaiah well, but he takes his work seriously and he loves his character."

Heigl and Baby

Isaiah Washington came under fire for using the epithet at the Golden Globe Awards in January... while denying he'd used it previously in reference to fellow Grey's Anatomy star T.R. Knight.

Heigl, who plays the outspoken Dr. Izzie Stevens on the hit ABC drama, was "furious and frustrated" at the time, so she came to Knight's defense.

"He made a big mistake, and it was thoughtless and boneheaded, and I think he's very sorry and embarrassed," Katherine Heigl says.

"This is something that will have changed the scope of his life."

Washington has done everything he can to make the best out of a bad situation, filming a public service announcement on behalf of gay rights groups GLAAD and GLSEN.

Heigl, who stars with Seth Rogen in the new Judd Apatow-directed comedy Knocked Up, also speaks out in the interview about her tense contract negotiations with ABC.

The long and short of it, Katherine Heigl says, is that she wanted the same respect they're showing the series' other talented actors. She doesn't like the label that goes along with a woman who stands up for what she wants.

"In this town, women who don't just snap and say, ‘Okay, yessir, or yes ma'am,' start to get a reputation for being difficult," Katherine Heigl says.

"But within the last five years, I've decided it's not worth it to me to be pushed around so much."

Heigl, who calls The Notebook one of her "all-time favorite movies," says that she'd much rather laugh than get too serious when it comes to her own movie roles.

"I just want to play happy people," she says.

"I'm a commercial kind of gal, and yeah, I would love to do a Monster, but I don't have any grand aspirations to do my Academy Award-winning movie. I love Kate Winslet, but I know I couldn't have her career."

From the looks of it, the Grey's Anatomy starlet will have quite the career of her own, even if it follows a different tack than that of Kate Winslet.
