Before Johnny Depp got engaged to Amber Heard or had children with Vanessa Paradis, he dated a succession of Hollywood It Girls and was as well known for his troubled relationships as for his acting.

One of the most tumultuous and infamous of his romances was with supermodel Kate Moss.

And according to a new tell-all book about the fashion world of the 1990s, the relationship between Depp and Moss was far more sordid than anyone had previously thought.

  • Johnny Depp Waves
  • K. Moss

In Champagne Supernova, author Maureen Callahan goes into graphic detail about the habits and hang-ups that nearly caused Depp and Moss to self-destruct.

Describing the first night they met at an East Village club in 1994, Callahan writes:

Taylor Swift writes songs about her exes as frequently as some people change their underwear. Swift's "Shake It Off" is rumored to be about both former flames Jake Gyllenhaal AND Harry Styles.

Or it's just an anthem about rising above and shaking off the haters. Either way, that's Taylor's M.O., but she isn't the only scathing songwriter in the game.

She's joined by a veritable legion of singers and bands who've made it their great pleasure to respond to their critics, enemies, and exes via song.

I Knew You Were Trouble - Taylor Swift
Oh, Taylor Swift! You just can't NOT write songs about exes! "I Knew You Were Trouble" is very publicly about One Direction's Harry Styles.

And then there are the musicians whose songs aren't about heartbreak at all but are instead tributes meant to help a friend through a tough time.

Songs in which others also find solace, like "Fix You" by Coldplay, which Chris Martin wrote for Gwyneth Paltrow, and which brought comfort to many facing tough times.

We put together a playlist featuring 19 songs inspired by celebrities, some you know well and others you might not. Sit back, relax, and just push play!

Given all the excesses available in Hollywood, and all the stressed-out creative types who work there, it's not surprising that we could come up with a list of celebrity smokers.

Some of the individuals who made said list may surprise you, though.

Despite the obvious risks of bad breath, yellow teeth and ... what's that one we forgot ... oh, right, lung cancer, countless celebrities still smoke cigarettes.

Hey, at least they can afford to pay the sin tax on those $10 packs?

If you know who Lindsay Lohan is, chances are you know Lindsay Lohan smokes. Ditto Charlie Sheen. But you'd never think some of these other stars partake.

Take a look at 23 celeb smokers who should probably quit:

Katherine Heigl
Katherine Heigl is smoking hot ... although her smoking habit is so not. She also thinks e-cigarettes are cool, which is almost funny but more sad than anything.

Lest we ever forget, celebrities are regular people too.

Sure, they have paparazzi stalking them, taking pictures as they do normal things like grocery shop and go to the doctor. And, yeah, they probably can't use the bathroom without a tabloid reporting that they're snorting lines of a toilet paper dispenser.

But deep down they're just regular people with hobbies and hidden talents. People who like to collect things and build stuff.

They also happen to have the leisure time (sort of) and finances to support their pastimes. Also they make movies and look beautiful and walk red carpets and sing and dance!

They also use their free time in unexpected, fun ways. From needlepoint to knitting to knife collecting, check out 13 odd celebrity hobbies below:

In addition to dancing like nobody's watching, Taylor Swift crafts by making her own snowglobes and doing needlepoint.

Lindsay Lohan has been doing most of her partying overseas for over two months now.

But while British paparazzi might be thrilled to have a drunk Lohan stumbling around London, some (or most) city residents are less than thrilled to have the "actress" and professional trainwreck vomiting on their sidewalks.

  • Lindsay Lohan London Paparazzi
  • Moss, Kate

Kate Moss for example was reportedly displeased from the moment that she heard Lindsay was planning to set up shop in the UK.

The reason? Linds has had past dalliances with Kate's ex-husband, Jamie Hince, and since both women are notorious for their love of drugs partying, Moss knew it was only a matter of time before they encountered one another.

Well, according to witnesses, Kate and Lindsay finally crossed paths over the weekend, and things immediately turned ugly:

Kate Moss' Playboy cover is finally here, just in time for the holidays and the iconic men's magazine's big 60th anniversary January/February 2014 double issue.

For the occasion, the British supermodel posed for "unprecedented" 18-page spread shot by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. Here's the cover:

If you've paid any attention to this, the cover image is not a surprise.

Back in November, Playboy released a teaser photo showing Moss dressed in a black strapless leotard with the signature Playboy bunny tail and ears.

The inside spread, which channels the magazine's storied history in black and white, features more of Kate in said costume ... and a lot less clothing.

Check out some (sort of NSFW) photos after the jump ...

More Kate Moss nude photos are on the way.

The veteran beauty has been selected as the cover model for Playboy's 60th anniversary issue, which will be released in December.

"She's a worldwide celebrity and iconic and crosses the boundaries from sexual imagery to upscale modeling," Hugh Hefner told The Los Angeles Times. "It's a natural for us."

This honor will mark Moss' first time posing for the iconic publication, with Editorial Director Jimmy Jellinek describing the blonde as the "biggest supermodel in the world" and the "perfect partner" for his magazine.

If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, Cindy Crawford, Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne should be feeling very good about themselves these days.

That's because Tyra Banks has posted three new pictures to Twitter in which she makes just like these super models, recreating their poses and looks for a spread in honor of New York Fashion Week.

"I've put my own spin on #NYFW w/a photo tribute to some of the fiercest #SuperModels ever. Unretouched. Real. Raw," Banks tweeted along with the images.

Here's a look at Tyra's transformation into her "idol," Crawford. Pretty incredible, no?

Photographer Udo Spreitzenbarth snapped the pics and will include them as part of an exhibition, "Tyra Banks Presents: 15," that is now open at Jack Studios in New York City.

The 39-year-old Kate Moss' new Esquire UK cover - the supermodel's first cover of a men's magazine in 17 years - was definitely worth the wait.

How so? Check out the sexy, figure-flaunting sheer body suit the British babe wears, with just a few sparkly gems carefully covering her unmentionables:

Kate Moss Esquire Cover

Kate graces the cover of Esquire UK's Made in Britain's September issue, having last gone this route in '96 for the now-defunct Arena magazine.

A chic, cropped off-white tuxedo jacket adds a bit more coverage, only enhancing her sultry look as she gazes into the camera.

"For too long [Kate Moss] has been monopolized by women's fashion magazines," Esquire UK editor Alex Bilmes said on the magazine's website.

"So I am thrilled that we've persuaded her to front our issue dedicated to this country's most stylish people and products. I really can't imagine anyone better."

It's no Kate Upton bikini photos. But it'll do for a change of pace.
