Is Prince Charles NEVER going to get his day to rule?

Sources tell the Globe that Queen Elizabeth is going to skip over her son and his wife Camilla entirely when she gives up the throne.

They report coronation plans for Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton are already in motion, set to take place in June 2015.

Globe Cover March 24 2014

I'm not going to say I think Globe is totally making this up - in the world of the British royals almost nothing would surprise me - but they're probably making this up.

Passing over a legitimate heir for no actual reason is basically unheard of.

Abdicating? Fine. But that would be up to Prince Charles and would probably cause a huge scandal. The royals will do ANYTHING to avoid a scandal.

I think it's more likely QEII will just REFUSE to die until after Prince Charles kicks it, so never does become king. Poor guy.

Maybe Globe is just hoping everyone forgets this cover by June 2015 when no coronation happens?

Kate Middleton has apparently been instructed by Her Royal Majesty herself, Queen Elizabeth II, to wear longer skirts. Yes, this is a real thing that happened.

Royal correspondent Katie Nicholl reports in the Mail on Sunday (via Vanity Fair) that the Queen has issued some directives as to how Kate should dress.

This applies to when she tours Australia in April, not on a daily basis or anything ... but still, expect longer skirts in April's Kate Middleton photos.

As per the Queen's request, the hemlines will be longer, the jewelry will be bolder, and there will be more tiaras than you can count. Sounds awesome?

In order to execute this “subtle but significant regal makeover,” as the Mail calls it, the Queen tasked her personal dresser, Angela Kelly, with preparing Kate.

The overhaul will see Kate wearing couture daytime dresses with “lower hemlines” than she typically goes for, as well as tiaras and “statement jewelry.”

Official portraits of Prince William and Kate Middleton with their baby son, Prince George, taken after the young royal was christened, have been released.

Thursday, the Palace unveiled four images taken by celebrity photographer Jason Bell, who documented the historic moment for the royal family.

Clearly, Prince George was pretty stoked for the event ...

Taken in the Morning Room at Clarence House following Prince George's christening Wednesday, the infant takes center stage throughout the series.

His always fashionable mom (follow the link for a Kate Middleton fashion breakdown) steals the show as well. And William's alright too. Just kidding.

In another photo, Queen Elizabeth II, 87, poses with her three heirs in son Prince Charles, 64, grandson Prince William, 31, and 3-month-old Prince George.

Check it out after the jump ...

Queen Elizabeth II can't wait to be a great-grandmother and meet her youngest heir(ess) ... if only the royal baby would show up one of these days.

Asked by one of her adoring subjects yesterday if she's hoping Kate Middleton gives birth to a boy or girl, Her Royal Highness said "I don't think I mind."

“I would very much like it to arrive,” she joked, visiting a group of children.

“I’m going on holiday soon!” the feisty 87-year-old added.

The Duchess of Cambridge is due any day now, just as HRH is set to take her annual summer vacation at her Balmoral estate in Scotland.

We're all on pins and needles waiting for Kate Middleton to give birth ... but if Queen Elizabeth II can't motivate that royal baby, clearly it's got its own timetable.

What do you think it will be?

During Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee celebration in June, Kate Middleton appeared to be fully embraced as a member of the royal family ... only to receive the equivalent of a DIRECT SLAP IN THE FACE from the BITTER QUEEN herself!

Yes, Life & Style claims that one of the longest-reigning monarchs in European history is jealous of Kate Middleton. How, you ask, was Kate supposedly dissed and dismissed?

Kate Middleton Humilitated!

In an official revision to the Royal Household's Order of Precedence, Kate is required to curtsy to Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson's two daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie, as they're both considered blood princesses.

Whereas Kate merely married into the royal family, obviously.

"It's a total humiliation for Kate," a source in Kate and William's social circle says. "It's like a demotion for her, and the queen is the one who ordered this."

When William's with her, no curtsy is necessary, but if she encounters them without her husband, she has to bow down, in public or private. Degrading.

"These queen's moves are designed to remind Kate that just because she's popular, she isn't as important as any other royal-born family member," the friend says.

The horror? What's next, calling Kate Middleton a gold digger?

Kate Middleton, the People's Princess, is a down-to-earth girl by all accounts ... except in this taxi commercial from China that parodies her as the opposite.

In the clip, a Kate lookalike stands outside with a fax Prince William and Queen Elizabeth II, complaining, "I didn't marry royalty to schlep around in a taxi."

They do look a bit like Will and Kate, too. The Queen impostor? Not so much.

William attempts to reason with his beautiful wife, "But darling, Granny is right. The commoners want to see us tightening our belts and all that."

"Rubbish, people want to see that they can be like us if they just work hard," Kate responds. The Queen then mockingly asks, "Like you did?" Ohhh!

"Now, now, Granny," William says. "We all know that it's I who fell for Kate."

"That's right, I didn't even fancy him at first," the faux Kate Middleton says. "Don't you remember? You had to practically beg me for my phone number."

Fortunately, of course, Wills had Panda Cab on speed-dial. Within seconds, a car appears, whisking the trio away to the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
