Kate Middleton Wedding Dress
Wow. That's all we can say about Kate Middleton's wedding dress. She looks simply stunning.

Regardless, when brides like Kate Middleton step out in front of the cameras, the world takes notice. Likewise with famous faces such as Kaley Cuoco and Kim Kardashian.

Perhaps you've heard, but Kim Kardashian married Kanye West this weekend.

No, really! Those kids just up and decided to get married with no fanfare at all.

We kid... a lot. But while we await word on just how much Kim and Kanye spent to tie the knot in Florence (we know how much they earned, approximately: $20 million), let's take a look at some of the most expensive wedding bills in celebrity history.

From athletes to singers to members of British Royalty, brides and grooms from a number of industries have often spared no expense in pledging their love and loyalty to their spouse for eternity.

Or, you know, for 72 days...

Prince William and Kate Middleton
In fairness, $32 million of the $34 million tab went to security. The rest of the money was spent on flowers ($800,000) food ($150,000) and champagne ($60,000), among other details.

The Kim Kardashian-Kanye West wedding is being compared to royal ceremonies of the past, and we're sure Kimye couldn't be happier about it.

The whole thing seems designed to bring to mind European dignitaries. From the fact that Kim and Kanye want to marry in Versailles to the way the reception will be documented for television audiences, as though Kim and Yeezy are heads of state (scary thought).

So it should come as no surprise that when choosing a wedding gown, Kim kopied actual royalty, by biting Kate Middleton's style.

Kim has reportedly believed for years that she and Kate are two peas in a pod - just a couple of beloved princesses from opposite sides of the pond.

Self-important American women have likened themselves to European royalty for centuries, but now Kim's delusions of grandeur may have crossed the line between cute and creepy.

Page Six reports that Kim wants her wedding dress to look like Kate's:

Kate Middleton and Prince William celebrate their third anniversary today. Yes, it's been three years since the magical Royal Wedding on April 29, 2011.

Three years since the whole world celebrated. Three years since the last (and possibly) only time Americans set their alarms for a British news story.

Three years since Pippa Middleton set the high water mark for bridesmaid show-stealing. Three years since the love story for the ages became official.

In celebration of their wedding day, and the romance they've shared before and since, here's a look back at our favorite celebrity couple through the years:

How are the royal couple themselves celebrating this special day? Resting.

They're parents, after all, of a nine-month-old baby boy. Gotta love it.

The world's most famous newlyweds are no longer newlyweds.

It's hard to believe that a whole year has passed since Prince William and Kate Middleton became Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at London's Westminster Abbey.

The royal wedding was a spectacle unlike any other, and not simply because William is royalty: It's a celebrity news story that isn't the slightest bit negative!

Nary a harsh word is ever said about the couple, who the whole world is rooting for to succeed (while speculating over Kate's future pregnancy) 24/7/365.

A year after they declared their love for each other in front of an estimated two billion (!) viewers, they're keeping their first wedding anniversary private.

The Duke and Duchess were to spend part of the weekend with friends in London, then return to their home in Anglesey, on the Welsh coast, by Sunday.

So here's to William and Kate! Click to enlarge some of our favorite photos of the royal no-longer-newlyweds on this, their one-year wedding anniversary:

Kate Middleton was dubbed the "People's Princess" earlier this year when she became the first commoner to marry an heir to the British throne in centuries.

On Gossip Girl, Blair Waldorf (played by Leighton Meester) is getting ready to do the same on January 30, as she is engaged to Louis, the Prince of Monaco.

Meester was seen on the street filming in her wedding dress ... a runaway bride perhaps? Or filming a dream sequence? Impossible to say for another two months.

What you can say now is whether Gossip Girl fashion compares to the real deal! Whose wedding dress do you like better, Kate's or Blair's? Vote below!

Two billion people saw Kate Middleton's wedding dress April 29, but only a few had a chance to witness the classic gown in all its glory in person.

The dress, designed by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen, will go on display when Buckingham Palace opens for tours from July 23-October 3!

The whole ensemble of the dress, the Cartier "Halo" tiara, earrings, veil and satin and lace shoes will be on view, as will other Royal Wedding items.

The Rolls-Royce Phantom VI and 1902 State Landau coach that carried Middleton to and from Westminster Abbey will also be on the grounds.

Inside the palace's State Dining Room, the magnificent Fiona Cairns's designed cake will even be available for the public's viewing pleasure.

"Other cakes were made to serve to guests, but the one that was cut by the royal couple is the one that will be on display," says a source.

"There is a cut where the Duke and Duchess cut into it with a sword."

Sounds awesome! As for the dress, Kate chose McQueen "for the beauty of its craftsmanship and its respect for traditional workmanship and the technical construction of clothing," the Royal Collection says in a statement.

Having married Prince William earlier Friday in the wedding of the millennium, Kate Middleton changed into a stunning evening gown for the royal reception.

Like Kate Middleton's wedding dress, this gown looked nothing short of perfect for a duchess, and was custom designed by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen.

Burton said of her design experience: "Alexander McQueen's designs are all about bringing contrasts together to create startling and beautiful clothes."

We'd say that worked pretty well in this case, wouldn't you?
