Former Star reporter Kate Major, who says she had a fling with Jon Gosselin after his breakup with wife Kate - which he denies - is clamoring for a 16th minute of fame Jon to tell the truth about what happened between them.

"I will take a lie detector test and I would love for Jon to take a lie detector test because for him to say there was no romance is a complete lie," Major, who admitted falling in love with the player, told HLN's Showbiz Tonight.

Kate Major says she made a big mistake with Jon, and that "I think I was in lust with him, but no, I didn't love him," later adding, "I despise him."

An interesting choice of words, and clearly picked to earn headlines after Jon said exactly that about estranged wife Kate Gosselin about a week ago.

Speaking of Kate Gosselin, Major says she'd like to reach out to her.

Yeah. He totally hit it.

"If I could talk to Kate Gosselin, I would definitely, I think we would have a lot in common, and I feel badly for her," says the celeb gossip reporter.

"I think that she's definitely taking the high road, and I'm sure it's very hard and the last thing I would want is for any of his children to see this."

SIDE NOTE: It's great that Kate is perceived to be taking the high road almost by default, as she is not accused of sleeping with half the country.

Quite the crazy week for Jon, who's been hit by allegations from one of his eight kids' nannies, Stephanie Santoro, who claims he nailed her in the apartment above his garage while his kids slept, right after the Gosselins filed for divorce.

Santoro worked at the family's Pennsylvania home for a month while he was already dating current girlfriend Hailey Glassman. Jon also denies this.

In a new tell-all interview, Kate Major (a.k.a. Kate 2.0) is looking to grab a 16th minute by going off on Jon Gosselin's lies and shady seduction secrets.

Life sure has changed in a "major" way for Jon Gosselin since he separated from wife Kate in late June. He used to wear a bluetooth, sit on one end of the couch and be brutally emasculated every Monday night on TV. Now he's such a player!

One of several ex-lovers from the past few months alone, Kate Major, says he was a "great kisser," and their fling "was amazing." She was quite smitten:

"I said, 'I've never felt like this about anybody else in my life,' and he said, 'Me too.'"

That's what the players all say, though. And Jon, who is reportedly shopping his own reality show, played Kate 2.0 in the worst fashion, she claims.

Sparks first flew on July 17, when the former Star Magazine reporter went to cover the breakdown of Jon's marriage. That was followed by whirlwind trips to New Jersey, NYC and Long Island's Hamptons that included three sexual encounters.

But by July 29, Jon had brought the relationship to a screeching halt, denied it ever happened and gone back to previous play thing Hailey Glassman.

In her first interview since hooking up with Jon Gosselin, Hailey Glassman describes the newly-separated father of eight (and Casanova of mediocre looking, slightly unstable women) as her "first love." Sniff. Is it dusty in here, or is it just us?

Hailey Glassman also reveals she began dating Jon in May - a month before he and Kate Gosselin announced their separation on Jon & Kate Plus 8.

But before you add wrecker of homes to Hailey's resume, remember that he pummeling Deanna Hummel first - and Glassman points out that Jon and Kate were separated for "months" before then, and she had nothing to do with it.

"He was living in my house, the person I joked around with. He was sad and bored, I was home and bored," says Glassman, referring to a time when Jon crashed at her parents' place (her dad is the surgeon who performed Kate's tummy tuck).

"Jon and Kate have moved on with their lives - it's only viewers who haven't moved on," adds the 22-year-old party girl with the troubled past.

"I'm not some fame whore. I've been in hiding for three months," she says, adding that the attention she's received since hooking up with Jon is "horrible."

"Do I choose my life or do I choose Jon? I stay in my house with my parents where I feel safe. Take my 15 minutes, you can have it. Please, take it back!"

Hailey Glassman says she "wasn't worried" about her player beau going to the Hamptons with former Star magazine reporter Kate Major last month.

"I know what Jon tells me and I know him, but she's cuckoo, cuckoo, you know?" she says of Major, who claimed to be in a relationship with Jon.

How long do you think they'll last? She seems to have genuine feelings for the man, but you know how these true players are. We give it a month or two.

The newly-single Jon Gosselin may be living it up without the ball and chain on his ass these days, but when it comes to ex-wife Kate, he still offers praise.

"Kate's the mother of my children," says Jon. "I only wish her the best."

As for rumored fling Kate Major, a.k.a. Kate 2.0? Not so much!

Speaking to E! News, the father of eight was asked to comment on Major's claims last night that Jon is a liar and two-timer who needs to man up.

"I'm happy that she's out of my life," Gosselin said.

Oh. Yes. He. Did. Kate 2.0, that one stung.

Major, who quit her job to be with a guy she hooked up once, and who is in the midst of a midlife crisis and in full rebound mode, just got served. The lesson here? Wait for the second or third date before making life-changing decisions.

BIG PIMPIN': Jon Gosselin is a true player for real. At least as far as mediocre, unbalanced and slightly pathetic chicks go - he's got that market cornered.

Somewhere, Hailey Glassman is reading this quote and doing celebratory shots and bong hits while playing with guns. He's officially all yours, party girl.

Never underestimate Jon Gosselin's impact on a woman.

Hours after Kate Gosselin's revealing Today show interview, Kate Major, also known as Kate 2.0, sat down with E! News to talk about - and call out - her ex-flame.

Specifically, she calls Jon a "liar" and "two-timer."

"We had plans to travel together, to live together and to be together," Kate Major says. "He made his decision in the Hamptons. He wanted to be with me."

Oh, Kate 2.0. So sweet and innocent. Don't you know a guy will say anything if there's a good chance he can get in your pants in the next 20 minutes?

Ed Swiderski definitely knows that.

Just last week, Jon Gosselin reportedly claimed his relationship with Major was strictly platonic. But according to Kate 2.0, Jon told her he was planning to break up with his girlfriend Hailey Glassman in order to be with her instead.

As a result, Major resigned from her job as a Star magazine reporter to avoid a "conflict of interest." Then he said he was always with Hailey. Stings hard.

"He told me he was going to Massachusetts to break up with her," says Kate Major. "I know the truth. He knows the truth. Unfortunately, she did not."

Jon Gosselin and Hailey Glassman say they never broke up, which Major says is a lie: "He tried to two-time both of us. He wasn't honest with Hailey. He needs to man up and tell the truth. I'm not going to be the other woman."

Clearly miffed, Kate Major claims she has "proof" they were hitting it.

"I was not the only one who was around when we were romantically involved," says Major. "We were holed up. It's not like we were just sitting there."

Major says Jon was even the one who asked her to quit her job.

"I was with the person I was reporting on... It was a huge conflict of interest," Major lamented. "He's the one who actually told me to quit my job."

Major also laments that the fallout "has been a nightmare. I did not want to have to do this. I have to speak. I did not want to have to sell him out but when he makes me look like a liar, a fool and an idiot. I have to cash in speak out."

"In no way did he tell me he was going to be with me one minute and then go parade with his ex-girlfriend the next. This whole experience has taught me so much. When I had Jon's support, it was hard. Now that I don't, it's even harder."

Kate Major can't believe Jon chose this over her. We sort of sympathize.

Echoing a sentiment many of us have had over the past month, Kate Major is wondering what she was thinking when she hooked up with Jon Gosselin.

"It's been a complete whirlwind these past two weeks now," the former Star reporter, who met the married-but-separated d-bag at his Pennsylvania home while on assignment, said. "I wake up some days and I think, 'What was I thinking?'"

It's easy to see how she got sucked in, though. What a catch!

"He's a great, great guy," Major told E! Online of Jon Gosselin. "I wish I could think of something wrong with the guy but there really isn't. But. it's kinda hard to be really romantic when you're being followed constantly."

As for Kate 1.0, Kate 2.0 says Jon has nothing but praise.

"People grow apart, people change - but as a mother he speaks very highly of Kate [Gosselin]," said Kate Major, the second of three reputed Jon play things.

Kate Major can only reflect on a whirlwind romance gone haywire.

Major admits to "overstepping [her] boundaries" by getting involved with Jon Gosselin, and the moment she left the celebrity gossip magazine that used to employ her is the one she considers to be the "low point" of this whole experience.

"It's been really hard. I've pretty much had to go into hiding. I just felt it was obviously a conflict of interest, to say the least. Yes, I made a mistake."

But Kate Major felt the pull of "instant chemistry" with Jon Gosselin, who confirmed on at least one occasion that he and Kate were in a relationship.

"It happened very quickly," she recalled. "I even said, 'I feel like I've known you my whole life.'" You may vomit on cue if you're reading this at home.

Meanwhile, Hailey Glassman, who was dating Jon when he met Major, said Thursday, "We've always been together," when they were spotted walking hand-in-hand in N.Y. State. Looks like Kate 2.0 might have just been played by a true player.

Who should Jon Gosselin date?

There are two sides to every story. Now Kate Major, Jon Gosselin's new love interest, is sitting down to tell hers. In an exclusive interview with E! tomorrow night, she will talk about where things stand between her and Gosselin.

She'll also describe how they met, what their relationship meant for Hailey Glassman, and the future Major is hoping for with the 32-year-old father of eight.

"I would be lying if I said there wasn't instant chemistry between us," says Kate Major of Jon Gosselin, whom she met earlier this year while she was working as a reporter for Star, covering the unraveling of his 10-year marriage.

The two of them went out to dinner the following night.

Kate Major, a.k.a. Kate 2.0, is dishing on love at first sight.

"Do I regret anything? Not really," Major says, although, apparently she has had some second thoughts. "Would I do it again? Probably not," she admits.

Major also opens up about interviewing both Gosselin and his first postmarital lover, Hailey Glassman, whom Jon spent a weekend with in St.-Tropez and was rumored to have gotten engaged to two weeks before being spotted out with Major.

"Right now, there is no happily ever after," Kate Major reveals. However, "[I was] really, really impressed - and I still am - with the person that he is."

"It's a huge relief to finally talk," she says. "I haven't been speaking a lot in the past few days because of how crazy everything is, but I'm ready to talk."

With Jon and Kate Plus 8 set to return to TLC Monday, will some of the new people in the recently-separated Gosselins’ lives be featured on the show?

“As far as new people that may be cycling into Jon and Kate’s lives, we’re taking it on a case-by-case basis,” said TLC General Manager Eileen O’Neill.

But we will see Kate's bikini body (the best revenge) as well as the hilarity that is “Jon struggling in the kitchen trying to make pizza for his kids.”

Zzz. We want Hailey Glassman cat fights! Instead, it looks like we'll get:

“You’ll see what its like when Kate has to put a tent up for the first time for her kids, who love to camp in their backyard. Then Kate gets a little advice from her daughter, who doesn’t think she does it quite as well as dad,” O'Neill adds.

In the past two weeks alone, Jon Gosselin has said his "heart is with Hailey," that he is "in a relationship with Kate Major" and that he is “single - per se,” and that, “I don’t want to introduce anyone [I'm dating] to my kids.”

Sooner or later, these contradictory statements have to backfire. We just hope it's televised when that happens. Here's Jon back at home yesterday ...

Given that the show has basically become Jon and Kate Separ8, one wonders how long TLC can keep airing the show and pretending everything is normal. We'll find out!

Who sucks worse?

Before setting out for Pennsylvania to cover Jon and Kate Gosselin for Star Magazine, reporter Kate Major joked to friends, "I could be the next Kate!"

Turns out that's exactly what happened.

It was not long before the 26-year-old began a torrid fling with Jon - all while he was still hitting it with family-friend-turned-girlfriend Hailey Glassman.

When she met Jon at his $1.1 million home July 17, it was love at first sight for Kate Major. It began when Jon's bodyguard asked her to move her car.

“I introduced myself as a reporter and said, 'I’d like to meet Jon,'" Major recalls. The bodyguard’s response to her inquiry? “I bet he wants to meet you.”

At that point, the bodyguard snapped a cell phone photo of Kate and texted it to Jon Gosselin, who wrote back immediately, “Yes! I want to talk to her.”

So basically, Jon is being pimped out by his bodyguard. Soon enough, she was inside his house. Shortly after, he was inside her ... gossip magazine.

A whirlwind romance - and love triangle - followed immediately.

Hailey Glassman, Jon's 22-year-old play thing, was completely clueless (which is par for the course for her) about Kate Major and her romance with Jon that she even gushed to Kate about Jon when the trio met for an interview at Starbucks.

"I felt conflicted about liking Jon when I realized how nice [Hailey] was - I felt so bad for her,” Kate Major said afterward. “But I didn’t plan anything.”

Jon Gosselin says he is single now, and focused only on his kids. But he and the former Star reporter (she resigned due to a conflict of interest, as if anyone takes Star seriously anyway) spent Friday in NYC and the weekend in the Hamptons.

"Jon had an appointment in New York City," a source said. "Jon had a meeting and Kate needed to pick up some clothes. Then they headed back to the Hamptons."

The reality TV dad and Kate 2.0 have been staying with Michael Lohan, and on their most recent trip out to Long Island, they dined at Red Bar Brasserie with The Real Housewives of New York City star Jill Zarin and her husband Bobby (above).

Who should Jon Gosselin date?

Unlikely ladies man Jon Gosselin can't seem to make up his mind as to which rebound girlfriend he's sticking with, according to today's New York Daily News.

First, he brought 22-year-old party girl Hailey Glassman on a romantic trip to St. Tropez. They went public and gushed about their feelings for one another.

Then, despite reports that the Jon & Kate Plus 8 star was mad at rumors of him being romantically involved with Kate Major, the reality TV dad is all talk.

Jon Gosselin and Kate Major, 26, who resigned from Star last week after "falling for Jon," returned from the Hamptons to Manhattan Friday because "Jon had a business meeting and Kate needed to pick up some clothes," according to a source.

Wonder who that "source was." And what that "business meeting" consisted of.

The new couple were said to have gone back to the Hamptons after that, where Jon was seen playing football on the beach with friends, including you know-who.

Despite Jon Gosselin's recent hiring of PR firm Rubenstein Communications, it appears his shady BFF Michael Lohan has taken on the role himself pro bono.

"He's fantastic, upbeat and said that he just wants to concentrate on his kids," Lohan said, completely contradicting what Jon has actually been doing.

"Jon is not with either one right now," Lindsay's father said of Hailey Glassman and Kate Major. "He's not concentrating on a relationship with any woman."

While Jon Gosselin says dating multiple women is not like his character, and he is focused on his kids, his words and actions in recent weeks beg to differ.

Just two nights ago, Jon confirmed that he is in fact dating Kate Major.

"I care about Kate Major, she resigned from her job for me," Gosselin told E!. "Right now, my focus is on my my kids. My personal relationship is private."

Gosselin may not know what "private" means, as he spends his days posing for the paparazzi, befriending attention-craving losers and dating a reporter.

Who knows what the true player will say or do next. Just another week in the life of a newly-single stud. All we can do is tune in and be entertained.
