What do you get when you cross a witless bully with a grating diva?

No chemistry, apparently. At least according to a SHOCKING report.

Us Weekly notes alarmingly in its latest issue that Kate Gosselin and Sarah Palin are not exactly best of friends after their mega-TLC crossover TV event.

A source close to Gosselin says she had "zero chemistry" with the former Alaska governor, which whom she filmed an episode of Sarah Palin's Alaska.

"They didn't speak at all off camera," the insider adds. "She said the food and accommodations were terrible, and it was the worst trip she'd ever been on."

Although Kate's kids loved going camping, fishing and looking for firewood with Palin and her children, Gosselin "had a meltdown" in the frigid, 53-degree conditions. She ended up leaving the campground before sundown.

"In the end, she just couldn't cope," the source said.

It's no $950 trip to the salon, that's for sure.

You know what they say. Even mothers of eight with growing financial woes need time to drop more money on a haircut than most of us make in a week.

Kate Gosselin took a break from the kids Wednesday and headed to the uber chic Ted Gibson Salon in NYC for five hours of expensive ass pampering.

In addition to updating her color, Kate had them smooth and straighten her locks - a $450 treatment that can rise up to $950 depending on length.

Don't ask us why you needs to go to a salon that swanky when their kids are eating moldy sandwiches to save money, but hey, that's Kate Gosselin for you.

Asking her to cut back on her diva-like antics would be akin to telling Jon Gosselin to get a job. Oh wait ... dude actually did! Well then. Your move, Kate!

The other crazy thing? All the celebrity hairstyles in the world can't mask the fact that it's Kate Gosselin here. You are not a star, lady. Give it up already.

Sarah Palin. Kate Gosselin. It's a TLC reality show crossover like no one in their right mind ever imagined or wanted to see by any means other.

As if Kate dragging her brood to our northernmost state weren't exciting enough ... they're going on an Alaskan camping trip with Sarah Palin!!

Then it's time for the clash of titans on Sarah Palin's Alaska. "I have never camped for real," Gosselin admits in the below clip, and it shows.

Crying for decent food and grimacing as American's favorite mama grizzly fires her trusty rifle, Kate longs for the comforts of Pennsylvania.

Hey, what's she supposed to do? Bears lurking are nearby. BEARS, people. Sarah tells us, "She's going to be relying on me to protect her."

First the rage issues and now this. They're just six years old, but the Gosselin kids are accused of playing Grinch and spoiling Christmas at school.

"The kids don't believe in Santa Claus, and they're telling other kids at school that there is no Santa Claus," a close friend of the family said.

Children as young as six were told that "your parents are lying to you," causing Kate and Jon Gosselin to receive calls from stunned parents.

Just because Kate's hair is whack doesn't mean you have to out Santa.

"Jon has received angry phone calls from parents because the children actually told others that 'your parents are lying to you,'" the insider said.

Hey, at least the dude's got a job now ... cut him some slack.

Denying a report that two of her eight children were expelled from school, even though they were Kate this week admitted their anger issues.

Collin and Alexis Gosselin were expelled from private school. Despite this fact, Kate Gosselin wants to make clear they were NOT expelled.

"The school would never use that word," the grating mom with no friends said. "[Collin and Alexis] weren't expelled. [The school] didn't feel like they could meet their needs anymore, so it was decided that they should leave, for now."

So ... they were expelled.

Collin and Alexis Gosselin, 6, are both being home-schooled by a private tutor who teaches them an "identical curriculum" until they are ready to return to school. But challenges aren't just academic for the kids – they're personal.

"They've been the ones to verbalize the most that they miss Daddy," Kate says of Jon Gosselin. "I could see that they're the ones struggling the most."

Despite having multiple reality shows and eight cute kids, Kate Gosselin, is a sad and lonely individual with no friends, according to a new report.

Yup, we can totally see that.

A source close to the celeb mom says that despite what she wants you to think, "The truth is Kate is very sad and lonely with few true friends."

When she's not watching over her kids or filming Kate Plus 8, the perfectionist is seen wasting money on tanning, getting her nails done or visiting NYC salons.

Moreover, she has a dedicated routine routine of grueling jogs to relieve stress and keep herself in tip-top condition, but even that's coming at a heavy price.

"Even her kids have noticed that their mom is sometimes too tired to play with them when the cameras are not rolling," the Gosselin family source said.

Her only confidant? Steve Neild.

What do you do when your diva-like ways are running your family into fiscal despair? If you're Kate Gosselin, you go get your tan on in Reading, Pa.

The mother of eight was seen exiting a local tanning salon, where she channeled her inner Snooki, before heading over to do "business" at a FedEx.

BRIGHTER DAYS: Kate Gosselin has seen them.

We're not criticizing the tanning industry overall, but it seems like a waste of money when you've got eight mouths to feed and limited income, no?

Seriously, the children eat moldy food so you can do this!?!?

Kate, who recently admitted that her kids are under pressure lately, yet shows no apparent inclination to do anything about that, spent Thanksgiving day with the enormous brood before handing them off to their deadbeat dad.

In the wake of two of her children getting expelled from school, Kate Gosselin went on record, discussing the situation personally for the first time with ET.

Asked if Collin and Alexis Gosselin were in fact expelled, she said, "Two of my kids, no, are being tutored at home, with a teacher who is working closely with our kindergarten teachers in school, doing the identical curriculum."

So basically ... they were kicked out.

Kate says life in the spotlight is hard for the kids.

The-recently divorced reality star says that, "All the pressure was getting to them," explaining, "You have a lot of the divorce anger mixed in with that."

"The goal is to get them back into school as soon as possible," she adds.

But will their deep-rooted rage issues and bullying tendencies subside?

Jon and Kate Gosselin's troubled kids Collin and Alexis are reportedly "doing a lot better" since their surprising, recent expulsion from private school.

The six-year-olds were booted out of their Pennsylvania school and are currently being home-schooled by their famous (and controversial) mom.

Kate was forced to take over after Collin and Alexis' rage issues, including incidents of violence and bullying, continued to spiral out of control.

BEFORE THE RAGE: Collin and Alexis is simpler times.

The expulsion was a wake-up call for Kate, who is working to get their behavioral issues under control and providea more structured environment at home.

"The two kids are doing a lot better. It seems like they are happier now that they are receiving more attention to meet their needs," a source told Radar.

"Both Collin and Alexis are happy they are enjoying spending more time with their mother and also with (their dog) Shoka now that he has returned."
