Man, Kate Gosselin really did a number on this poor guy.

We mean Jon Gosselin, mentally, that is. Not poor little Aaden, who had to go to the pediatrics hospital on Saturday in Reading, Pennsylvania.

Chances are, the five-year-old's injuries were not the result of another Kate Gosselin spanking. But who can say for certain with that woman?

A rep for TLC, when reached for comment, said, "When you have eight kids, someone is bound to get hurt. It's nothing tragic. Everything is fine."

With their special divorce announcement on tap for tomorrow's episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8, Kate apparently left town for some alone time this weekend.

Unfortunately, she is probably expected back at some point in the near future.

She took off by herself so that the eight kids could spend Father’s Day with Jon Gosselin. How sweet, their last Father's Day with married parents! Yay!

No word if Hailey Glassman and/or Deanna Hummel are coming over.

The promo for Monday night's special episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8 promises that the embattled Jon and Kate Gosselin will make a major announcement.

A source close to the situation tells Radar Online that the Jon and Kate announcement is what we all assumed it to be: They are getting a divorce.

The source says that Kate Gosselin recently met with a divorce lawyer. Another source says that the couple had previously agreed to separate by July 15.

That timetable has now been pushed forward.

Radar also claims exclusive knowledge that for all intents and purposes, the marriage is already over and Jon Gosselin will file divorce papers next week.

Meanwhile, People reports that Jon was apartment hunting in New York City this morning, further fueling rumors that a Gosselin split is imminent.

The stars of Jon & Kate Plus 8 have unwittingly used reality TV to broadcast the reality of an unraveling, terrible marriage. And they’ve done it to record ratings this season as media frenzy around the battling couple grew with each new development:

• Jon was accused of having an affair with Deanna Hummel.
• Kate was accused of having an affair with Steve Neild.
• Kate's porcupine / reverse mullet weave has been scrutinized.
• Her brother discussed the relationship publicly in a tell-all with Us Weekly, which featured the Gosselins on a staggering seven straight covers.
• Kate previously took the sextuplets on vacation to North Carolina without Jon. He was spotted hanging out with Deanna Hummel in Utah. 
• Some dude apparently pummeled Deanna Hummel on a sex tape that appeared online. While unrelated to the Gosselins, this was amusing.
• Jon has also been spotted with Hailey Glassman, the daughter of Kate’s plastic surgeon, and reports say this relationship may be still on.
• Jon and Kate spent their 10th wedding anniversary apart.

How will the once-beloved couple handle their impending split? Will the show go on? Should they try to work it out for the sake of the adorable kids?

The promo for next Monday night's "very special episode" of Jon & Kate Plus 8 certainly suggests that a Jon Gosselin-Kate Gosselin divorce is imminent.

"Recently we've made some life-changing decisions," Kate says in the voiceover on a new TLC promo for a one-hour Jon & Kate Plus 8 episode June 22.

She continues, as melodramatic music plays: "Decisions that will affect every member of our family... ones that we hope will bring each of us some peace."

Kate and Jon Gosselin "have an announcement," the text reads.

Phrases like "A relationship at a crossroads" and "Where do they go from here?" also flash across the screen, along with crushing images of somber Jon Gosselin and Kate Gosselin (looking in opposite directions), during the 30-second promo.

A Very Special Jon and Kate Plus 8

Celebrity gossip sites have had a field day chronicling the couple's awful marriage in recent weeks, first with the revelation that Jon had an affair with Deanna Hummel, followed by with Kate's "inseparable" relationship with bodyguard Steve Neild.

There were also the side stories of the alleged sex tapes starring Deanna Hummel, Octomom bashing Kate twice, and rumors that Jon is a pot-smoking loser.

The pair spent their 10-year wedding anniversary apart, with Kate Gosselin spanking Leah at home while unhappy Jon kicked it with friends in Nyack, N.Y.

It's been a roller-coaster. We'll have to wait and see what's next, though it's hard to imagine this is all a ruse and a heartwarming reconciliation is looming.

Unless Kate Gosselin agrees to shut her yap once in awhile, anyway.

With Jon Gosselin possibly out spanking Deanna Hummel, grating wife Kate was seen giving that treatment to daughter Leah in an entirely different manner.

In Touch reports that on June 13 at around 11 a.m., the mother of eight out front of her house and spanked one of her kids in plain view of the paparazzi.

Man, between this and her denying Mady water last week, incidents of Kate Gosselin's terrible parenting keep piling up. Woman catch a break these days.

The incident took place while Kate Gosselin was outside on an otherwise normal day (for her), watching the kids play. A witness reports that at some point, one of the sextuplets, Leah Gosselin, started blowing a whistle loudly.

Probably for help.

Kate was on the phone at the time, so she told her to stop. Leah just went and whistled again and boy, does she regret it after Kate went Chris Brown on her.

Well, maybe that's extreme. But Kate Gosselin still spanked Leah a couple of times, raising eyebrows among those (un)fortunate enough to be there watching.

The witness went on to say:

“The girl was screaming and crying. Kate just pushed her away and walked off with her coffee. Her older sisters were trying to make Leah feel better.”

That's harsh stuff, Kate. And people wonder why Jon is so unhappy.

Friday was Jon and Kate Gosselin's 10th wedding anniversary, but the estranged parents of eight weren't spotted doing any celebrating over the weekend.

In fact, they spent the weekend apart.

Pretty sad what they've let their lives become, however, the fact that anyone can tolerate that woman for a decade without shooting himself in the head is impressive, so you've gotta give Jon at least a little credit for sticking it out this long.

Kate called cops on celebrity gossip photographers Saturday as she played with her kids and filmed her TLC reality show. On Sunday, she took one of her sextuplets, Leah, on a shopping excursion to Target, Starbucks and Bed, Bath & Beyond.

Jon wasn't spotted at the family's home in Wernersville, Pa. No word on whether he and Deanna Hummel were making private videos in Utah somewhere.

Sadly, Kate Gosselin was not taken into custody and placed under gag order.

Monday, Jon finally surfaced, spending time with his eldest twin daughters, Cara and Mady Gosselin, who called Kate mean after being denied water last week.

Conveniently for Jon, Kate was on her own schedule, getting her reverse mullet cut, so she wasn't around to make the usual condescending, grating remarks.

Take whatever silence you can get around the house, J.

On tonight’s all new episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8, which hopefully will receive low ratings, the embattled fam meets the dudes from Orange County Choppers.

You may be making a living these days off Jon and Kate Gosselin - the tabloid has placed the couple on its cover for seven consecutive weeks - but we don't always believe your anonymous sources.

Is Kate Gosselin really "a monster?" It seems that way, but can we get some hard evidence please?

Fortunately (for celebrity gossip followers, not so much for Kate), proof has now been provided by one of the Gosselin's own children:

In the video below - a clip of Kate and her children prior to their appearance on Access Hollywood - daughter Mady asks her mother for a drink of water. Kate's reaction?

She takes sip and then places the bottle on the floor, away from Mady. Crying, the eight-year old responds: "You're really really mean. You drank it right in front of my face."

Kate tells her child to "be quiet." Man, if only she took her own advice...

Tori Spelling wrote a best-selling book titled Mommywood.

As the name implies, the memoir was based around life as a mother in Hollywood.

But it looks like the 90210 actress has a short memory, as she recently lamented to Extra the fact that Jon and Kate Gosselin have essentially gone Hollywood.

"I loved the fact that they were a normal family; they weren’t in Hollywood," said the actress, who didn't seem to comprehend the irony in appearing on the show to promote the fourth season of her reality series, Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood. "It’s hard for me now to see them on the cover of People magazine... It’s gone to a whole different level, and I feel bad for them."

We're not defending the atrocity that is Jon & Kate Plus 8, but note to Tori: you've made a living off that same exact level!

Spelling also offered some advice to the Gosselins: "I hope they’re prepared for what they are going through and just know that this too shall pass... Next week, it will be someone else on the cover and you can go about your life."

Wrong. We're sorry to say, but there definitely will NOT be someone else on the cover of Us Weekly next week.

On March 28, Jon Gosselin reportedly had a revelation:

"Hey, it's Kate's birthday," he told a friend. "I should get her something."

However, according to a new report in Jon & Kate Plus 8 R Us Weekly, the controversial father proceeded to visit a jewelry store in Utah... only to eschew a gift and spend the day chugging free Budweisers with Deanna Hummel instead.

Elyse Motague, the waitress that delivered a shot to Deanna Hummel, courtesy of Jon Gosselin when he first wooed her, has referred to the reality star as a "dirtball."

As previously reported, the pair were spotted on that date at the annual Pond Skimming race at the Spring Gruv festival in Park City.

That evening, an insider told the aforementioned tabloid that Jon and Deanna "curled up" at a local bar and "it was snuggle-o-matic."

As the night went on, this anonymous source with unusual vocabulary said Gosselin and friends began "reeking of pot... I know that the kids he's hanging out with like a little herbal substance."

Hmm... that would explain Jon's hunger for attention. (Get it?!?)

We still need to get you to stop paying attention to Speidi and to realize that Chris Brown is a woman-beating thug, but you're coming along.

The ratings for Jon & Kate Plus 8 have fallen for each episode since its fifth season premiere.

This week, approximately 4.3 million viewers tuned into Monday's 100th episode, which featured celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse, along with a series of insults directed at Jon.

While the figures are still solid for a reality show on cable, the number of viewers have dropped by more than half since the show's Memorial Day debut. Might people actually be growing sick of watching feuding parents ignore their children and whine about the attention they're receiving?

Incredibly, it's starting to appear that way.

At this point, whoever lands in the interview chair, does the interview it looks like. Don't ask any questions. It's called rolling with life.

Oh, is that what it's called, Kate? We thought it was called "being an attention-seeking nag of a possibly disloyal wife and mostly unfocused mother that cares more about the spotlight and free tummy tucks than she does about her children."

Don't be fooled by the cover photo. The "Multiple Blessings" referred to in Kate Gosselin's book refer to the dollar bills that come been rolling in with each sale.

Viewers were subjected to the 100th episode of this reality TV dreck last night, as the installment featured famous chef Emeril Lagasse (for reasons unknown), along with numerous digs at husband Jon by Kate (for reasons known: she's a bitch).

Among our favorite Jon disses were:

• When Lagasse asked her how her man was in the kitchen, Kate simply replied: "Not so much." (As opposed to Kate's genius on the stove, of course, which you can soon read all about!)
• Kate later quipped: "Jon, do you know where the oven is? Let me point you to it."
• Still not content, Kate drove the point home again, telling Emeril of her husband: "This is the most I've seen him in the kitchen in my life."
