Kate Gosselin is headed back to television. Just not on her own talk show, as has been rumored. She'll be returning to a familiar gabfest as a guest host.

The former reality mom will once again be on The View March 11.

She last sat around the table of the talk show in September when she replaced Elisabeth Hasselbeck for three days while she was on maternity leave.

This time, Hasselbeck will be present along with Whoopi Goldberg, Barbara Walters, Joy Behar, Sherri Shepherd and a lot of yelling and screaming.

Jon Gosselin, meanwhile, will be present in every tabloid who will take his picture along with new piece Morgan Christie, surely drawing Kate's ire.

Ugh. Enough, Kate. We get the point.

Kate Gosselin is apparently not a fan of her new $7,000 hair extensions and yearns for the comforting old days of the dead opossum she fashioned on her head.

Why, we have no idea.

The 34-year-old divorcee marked the start of the new year by trading in her "signature" look for new hair extensions that reportedly took 20 hours of work.

As far as she's concerned, that was 20 hours wasted.

She hates it!" a source tells Us Weekly. "She thinks her hair looks over-processed and damaged. She's afraid people will think she's one of Tiger's bimbos!"

So much for starting over. Kate Gosselin says "I hate my hair!"

Bringing Tiger Woods' women into this? Just uncalled for. And hilarious. Also not fans of Kate's new look? Twins Cara and Mady, 9, who shrieked "Eww!"

"They started laughing," says a source. "Kate cried in her room."

But not all hope is lost. Gosselin has reportedly hired a stylist visit her Pennsylvania home to coach her on how to care for her new, made-over look.

"Kate has been trying different things," the insider dished. "Headbands, ponytails, even a Farrah Fawcett–style 'do. She's just not sure what she wants."

At least there was no conflict about ditching Jon Gosselin.

Which look do you think best suits Kate?

Free of her hideous reverse mullet and even more revolting husband, Kate Gosselin is set to return to TV later this year in a brand new TLC series of her very own.

According to reports, Kate will be "trying different jobs and tasks and showing how she performs in different environments" on the upcoming as-yet-untitled show.

Hmm. Pretty sure that was the synopsis of New York Goes to Work.

Only Tiffany Pollard is more entertaining. Who wants to see a grating nag work at McDonalds? Don't you have to have some appeal to make that worth watching?

Sorry, but no hair extensions can alter that personality.

This is what we imagine Kate's new show will be like.

TLC has not confirmed plans for the show, which sources say is slated to start in late spring or early summer, but is in talks to put Kate back on TV for some reason.

Plans for a Kate Gosselin talk show, conceptualized as a new take on The View for working moms, were mercifully scrapped last month after execs weren't thrilled.

She kicked Jon Gosselin to the curb. Jon and Kate Plus 8 is dead.

Now her trademark reverse mullet has followed her husband and TV show to the scrap heap. Kate Gosselin has debuted her new hair extensions!

In the new issue of People, Kate boasts that she's starting over in her career, her love life and apparently her signature look. Probably a good thing!

She may be so alone now, but she says she's going to make time for romance before long. Her new appearance should help with that, we must say.

"It's good to have hair again," Kate said. "I never thought I'd have short hair for as long as I did. I feel like this is a fresh start. Fresh me. Fresh life."

In turns out Kate Gosselin, who had her sights set on a talk show career, is not going to be part of a new show that she shot a pilot for, according to reports.

The reason? Executives thought she was too controversial.

In September, Kate was one of several hosts for a Momlogic TV pilot. The show was described as The View for working moms, but it may not even happen.

With multiple hosts (Kate, Paula Deen, Lee Woodruff, others), the show was designed to tackle topics such as teenage pregnancy as well as lighter fare.

TV execs passed on Kate Gosselin. This time around.

Executives believed Kate was too controversial for the show, however, and didn’t think she was ready for a full-time hosting job, even as part of a panel.

Deen was being pushed as the show’s star, even in the multi-host format, and there was some concern that Kate Gosselin’s notoriety was upsetting her.

The decision to drop Kate doesn’t mean no more Kate on TV, however. She will be back on TLC in the spring with a new show, which is in development.

TLC says it is "fully committed" to Kate’s new show, even as it works to finish developing its concept. At the same time, it's working to finish Jon Gosselin.

Kate Gosselin always had trouble making friends.

This was due in part to her abrasive, grating personality the time commitment of raising eight young children and being followed by a TV crew at all times.

But now that she has officially divorced Jon Gosselin, and Jon & Kate Plus 8 (with its crew) is no more, the newly-single mom feels more alone than ever.

"At night, when the kids are in bed, that's a lonely time for her," Kate's friend Jamie Ayers tells Life & Style. "That's when she calls me up and we chat."

"It gets lonely when you're the only adult."

Step it up, Steve Neild! Your girl is lonely!

During the day, Kate Gosselin tries to fend off the loneliness and depression by staying busy, making unfunny appearances on The Jay Leno Show. Stuff like that.

"Mostly, she gets up at the crack of dawn, works out and makes breakfast," says Jamie. "She runs errands while the kids are at school, and does a lot of baking."

But that isn't enough to fill the void.

Hilariously quoted in this story is Stephanie Santoro, a former nanny who claims she had an affair with Jon. She believes that deep inside, Kate misses her ex.

"There are times she's said she wished the old Jon would come back," Stephanie, who claims Jon did her nine times, said. "She wants that companionship back."

Her married life has at last come to an end after her divorce was made official on Friday, and it's safe to say that Kate Gosselin's TV career is over as well.

After her appearance on The Jay Leno Show last night, it's abundantly clear that the mom of eight is probably the least engaging and funny person ever.

She was really good at spanking kids and emasculating her husband on TV, but if she's looking to land her own talk show, she shouldn't hold her breath.

Not after this Q&A session on Jay's "10 at 10." Try to stay awake...

It's official. Jon and Kate Gosselin are divorced.

It also looks like financially, Jonny Boy is up $h!t creek without a paddle, because he owes big bucks for child support he'll have a hard time paying.

Mark Momjian, Kate's lawyer, says as per the divorce, "Our client will continue to reside with all eight of her children in the former marital home."

Kate has primary custody and Jon gets visitation, which both wanted. Neither party will get spousal support, but child support is another matter.

As for who got what, those terms were determined through arbitration, and Momjian simply said, "We are very pleased with the final outcome."

With good reason. Jon must make huge child support payments - think five figures a month - and this is after TLC has legally muzzled the moron.

  • Downtrodden Fella
  • Peace Out Jon

Kate Gosselin has many reasons to smile after her attorney opened up a can of legal whoop ass on Jon - who's on the hook for big monthly bucks - in divorce court.

Jon's ability to make money, ironically, has effectively been jeopardized by his own fame-whoring in recent months, breaching his TLC contract.

He also can blame himself for the end of Jon & Kate Plus 8.

To add insult to injury, the Ed Hardy-wearing douchebag was charged every penny of that $235,000 that he withdrew from their joint account.

That amount - which he hilariously claimed he withdrew because he thought it was payday - was sliced off of his piece of the divorce settlement.

As for Jon's claim that Kate also tried to steal money, Jon struck out as the arbitrator determined every penny she took out for the kids' benefit.

Talk about striking out ... possibly worse than he did the other night, when he was told in no uncertain terms to quit stalking Hailey Glassman.

Bottom line? A courtroom trouncing for Team Kate.

Whose side are you on?

Jon Gosselin has been acting like a swingin' single for months, partying like it's 1999 (before he wed Kate, actually) and chasing skirts all over the globe.

He's been married the whole time. Tiger Woods would be proud.

Looking Good Kate

Still, you knew things weren't gonna be reconciled with estranged with Kate Gosselin, and their divorce, which has been a long time 'comin, is imminent.

An arbitrator dealing with the reality stars has rendered a decision regarding how the feuding spouses should divide all their money and other property.

Those were the (contractually obligated photo shoot) days.

This recommendation (the details of which will stay confidential) has been forwarded to the judge presiding over the divorce. He should approve it.

Thus, a final divorce decree is now "imminent." The soon-to-be-ex spouses have both consented, and have asked the judge to sign the divorce papers.

Time to move on to the next item on the ol' to-do list.

It'll be nice for Jon to put this behind him. Dude has a lot of other legal issues going on. He was ordered by a judge to stop making media appearances.

In addition to violating various mediocre women over the last couple of months, TLC says Jon Gosselin had been violating a contract with the network.

Kate Gosselin is somehow among Barbara Walters' 10 Most Fascinating People of 2009. The only fascinating things to us are that someone stayed married to her for 10 years, and that her dead opossum hairstyle stays up. But so be it.

Before she and Jon Gosselin became embroiled in some of the year's best tabloid fodder, Kate was known simply as a reality TV mother of eight.

Eight kids she claims are devastated and crying themselves to sleep now that they're no longer in front of the cameras. No, Kate, that's just you.

"They cried in the van on the way home from school the other day. They kept asking, 'Where's the crew? Where's the camera crew? We miss them.' And I said, 'Our show is over.' ... Eight sobbing kids driving home from school," she said.

Defending herself from criticism that she exploits her kids, she adds:

"Unless you live in my house and, and see how everything that we have done with the show has been such a great experience, you can't speak."

Oh, how very wrong she is about that!

The show, Jon & Kate Plus 8, recently ended its two-year run following a string of developments set in motion around the middle of the year.

In September, TLC made the announcement that Jon Gosselin would no longer appear on the series and that it would be re-titled Kate Plus 8.

Tht plan got axed after Jon objected to his kids appearing on TV, claiming that he "had an epiphany" that the show was exploiting the brood.

Kate disagrees, telling Walters Jon pulled the plug on the popular show "simply because he could." We'd have to say she's 100 percent right.

Still, she continues to whine about her kids "great experience," i.e. her paycheck, being snapped up, claiming that Mady, Cara, Hannah, Leah, Alexis, Joel, Aaden and Collin "watch DVDs of our show and it's family memories to them." Blech.

Unfortunately, Kate Gosselin says her days in front of the camera are far from over, as she is slated to do a new talk show next spring.
