I think Kate needs psychiatric help. Even if Jon weren't in the picture, I think viewers would eventually see that she is not well. I don't think Jon is assertive enough, but I don't see him needing any kind of help. My heart breaks for him. And if there is a divorce, I think the kids would be in a healthier atmosphere if they lived with Jon full time. Kate speaks well, and speaks convincingly. But action speaks louder than words, and I believe that she is all about KATE.

You all leave Kate alone! She is beautifula and intellingent not like her cheating husband who just thought of himself as a celebrity and making a lot of complaints about his wife; hey he has all these children and he needs to keep the family together; it does not seem like he is trying; he is a cheater and always a cheater. You all Kate is a professional; she left her nursing career to raise a family and then she became more famous... so what is wrong with that? She is a wonderful mother and you all don't give her credit for all her work. You try just taking care of one child and see if you like it... you'll probably run. John is an irresponsible and cheating husband that will soon make the other girl, 23 y/o, pregnant and then you'll see his pattern. LEAVE POOR KATE ALONE AND STOP MAKING HER LOOK LIKE A BAD MOTHER. SHE DESERVES BETTER!!! I HOPE HER LIFE GETS BACK FOR THE BEST. I hope both get marital therapy but if it does not work, I sure hope she finds the man of her dreams! This vicious attack on Kate is unfair. Does anyone consider that she has 8 children who are well cared for and loved. She seldom loses patience with them.
Jon is useless and wanders around confused half the time. I think she is amazing and he is a cheater plain and simple. He whines about his lost career which he was never successful at in the least. He is a balding little man having a mid life crisis.
Question: Why do so many men cheat with ugly women, like jon did.

Why does everything have to be Jon's fault? Why is it always assumed that the husband is the bad guy? It takes 2 people to prevent a marriage from falling apart. To Alex, how do you know she did not cheat and Jon did? You are assuming an awful lot. It is not always the man. It is quite possible she cheated with that security guard and that is when the marriage fell apart. Jon may not have cheated at all. Maybe they have both cheated? We as the public will never know the whole truth. We all know there's 3 sides to this story (as with all stories) Kate's, Jon's, and the truth. The real people that we should all be concerned about are those precious babies. Regardless of what finally caused the separation and divorce, it is obvious from watching the show and hearing interviews that things have been far from good for quite some time. Maybe Jon did need a little more motivation to get things done, but there is a nice way to go about it. She was very rude, condescending and disrespectful to him. That is not an okay way to treat someone, especially in front of the children. We've all seen her talk that way to him regardless of who is in earshot. The only time you see Jon yell is when he's had enough of her. Of course, you must take into consideration that even though it is a "reality show" there is still editing. TLC calls it "reality" but the edit the tapes and construct the episodes to get ratings, not to make the family look good. The only true reality show is one that is aired live. It is not reality if it is taped and edited. What saddens me the most is that she proclaims herself a christian. I have not see christian-like behavior out of her yet! You never see them going to church, praying, or reading the bible as a family. But she states they are religious. Maybe if they had a little more prayer and religion in their life they would be better able to work through this and do what's right for the kids. It is possible that divorce is the right thing. but it does not appear that they have taken the time to fully discuss this and think things out. Have they gone to counseling? Talked with their pastor? Or with each other? It is impossible to have much time to really talk with even one child, but with 8 you must take every opportunity. Unfortunately they both value their trips and travel time so much they would rather do that then talk. The other issue I have is them stating they do everything for their kids and help a lot of charities. We all know that all these trips, their bikes, the motorcycle, the crooked houses, etc are all free gifts since its advertising for the companies. The Gosselins could easily afford these things since they make $75000 and episode + books and speeches. If the companies insist on giving them away instead of Jon and Kate paying for it, that's understandable, but they could make use of their monetary fortune and provide more things for these "charities" they supposedly support. How about crooked houses for a local orphanage? or women's shelter? How about sponsoring some trips for underpriveleged kids or make a wish foundation? These 2 have really messed up their priorities and I pray for those poor children each and every day.

I think Jon is disgusting. Has no respect for his kids or wife. It's funny people talk about exploiting the kids.... really his kids go to the store and see the magazines of DADDY with someone who isn't Mommy down right distasteful. I totally agree if he wasnt happy you should have left not make a mockery of marriage. Your kids will know in time what a scumbag you are. Don't care how mean or b*tchy Kate is somebody had to keep the house clean and in order and a schedule all Jon wanted to do was party. HHHMMMMM my guess is i would be a little B*tchy too! You have 8 kids amazing you want ot date one!

First of all, Kimmie, I don't think the kids are readng the tabloids. Second of all, as many of us have pointed out, there is no proof Jon ever cheated! And who says Kate does the cooking and cleaning? They have admitted many times that they have nannies and other "helpers" working in their home. How do you think she's doing all that work at home when she's never there? She's the one touring the country on book tours and speaking engagements trying to make her money!

Kate is a whiner just like Kara & Maddy, and now, Jon is behaving just like them!!...like some spoil little brat!
I don't watch their show like I had faithfully done since the beginning; both of them really lost touch of family values, and I can see why, it's really pathetic to see them separating themselves from each other, and not communicating or inter-acting with the children, especially at the childrens birthday party! very sad!
My opinion, TLC should seriously consider cancelling the show! there's no family connection between the Jon & Kate, so, what's the sense in having a so-called family show?

I knew the first time I watched the show that she was chasing him away by the way she treated him. Then, as I continued to watch, I could see that he truly loves Kate. As I watch this whole thing unfold, it looks very fake to me. Great PR for the show. A lot of people are watching now that would not have even considered it before. The world we live in loves controversy and the misery of others. This is a sad commentary on what Americans find entertaining. I hope they can stand back and see how they are hurting each other, and the whole family and stop this catastrophe. Marriage is meant to be forever, not for as long as it is convenient. Good luck.

I am sick of Jon and Kate. I have their book Multiple Blessings and started reading it before all of this crap started and now I don't even want to finish it because I think that it is all probably just a bunch of crap. For someone who didn't know anything about fashion, she makes sure that she is dressed for everyone to notice....get over yourself and start thinking about your 8 kids!!

okay so you were alittle uptight at times we all get like that but that doesn't mean its okay to cheat. i believe if its not working out then leave, separate, divorce, but why cheat and hurt ones feelings. its okay to cry, but one thing you have going for yourself is you are very smart beautiful and a good mom. keep going forward and enjoy life its too short. you have beautiful children.
