Will Karina Smirnoff's fall on Dancing With the Stars Monday night cost Season 4 champion Apolo Anton Ohno a shot at a second Mirror Ball trophy?

Midway through the hip hop routine, Apolo's mic flew off, and Karina proceded to hit the floor after a high kick. They finished strong, but then she broke down.

J.R. Martinez made his case for the Mirror Ball on the final night of performances on Dancing With the Stars. But will America deliver it for him this evening?

After suffering an injury last week, but the 28-year-old Iraq War vet, soap opera star and motivational speaker gave it his all in the cha cha and the freestyle.

The judges weren't in agreement on his first dance with partner Karina Smirnoff. The duo earned a 7 from Len, and 8 from Carrie Ann and a 9 from Bruno.

One thing the judges could agree on, however, was Martinez's freestyle. He earned a perfect 30, leaving him a tie for second with Ricki Lake for the night.

Whether J.R. or Ricki can overtake surprise frontrunner Rob Kardashian all depends on voter turnout. Watch J.R.'s final two dances of the season below ...

J.R. Martinez and Ricki Lake have been swapping the first place spot all season on Dancing With the Stars. Last night, it was definitely the latter's turn on top.

While he's never one to complain (look at all he's been through in life), J.R. rolled his right ankle in rehearsal and then twisted it again during his routines.

The famous smile that lights up the dance floor was barely there Monday, replaced by grimaces of pain and looks of disappointment. His posture was off.

J.R. and Karina Smirnoff did manage to turn in a sexy Argentine tango to make up for a subpar Paso Doble, but it'll be up to fans to carry him through.

Can J.R. earn a spot in next week's DWTS finals after an off week that saw him finish a distant third? Watch his performances and see what you think ...

Karina Smirnoff is gearing up for the next season of Dancing with the Stars, and she already has one name on top of her preferred partner list:

Rob Kardashian.

“Obviously everyone’s heard about Rob Kardashian,” she told OK!, adding that she'd love to partner with him. “I think it would be awesome. He’s fun, full of energy. I can definitely maneuver him into some very cool moves.”

Funny, that's what Ray J said about Kim Kardashian.

Regardless, she's pumped to get back out there: “It's always exciting because it’s new season, new blood, new direction, new energy."

"It will be fun to see what happens.”

Karina Smirnoff would love to see John Stamos throw it down on Dancing With the Stars and partner with her an the upcoming season.

We can only hope the former Full House star obliges.

She's mentioned it before, and is now launching the unofficial campaign yet again. Asked recently who she wants to dance with, she said:

Karina Smirnoff of DWTS

"Definitely John Stamos," Smirnoff told Hollyscoop. "I think he's got the looks, plus he's got the experience of being onstage, doing Broadway."

She may have a slight crush on John, but she's not hoping for anything more. Playboy's recent smoking hot cover gal is engaged to Brad Penny.

The former ER star's, whose name came up as a possible replacement for Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men, has not commented on DWTS.

Who would you like to see on the show? Stamos? Someone else?

Ralph Macchio and Karina Smirnoff had a great run, but ultimately fell short of the finals on last night's Dancing with the Stars results show.

The Karate Kid star says his elimination wasn't exactly a shock, but insinuated that the judges dug a hole for himself and Karina Smirnoff.

"We feel like the comments from the judges last night put us in a pretty tough position – even for our fan base – to pull it out," he says.

"That was unfortunate because I thought some of the comments were disrespectful and not constructive for how I can better myself."

The actor felt like the judges were "making fun" of him and Smirnoff, and wasn't pleased. "I thought we earned respect over the season."

"It just felt like the playing field wasn't level for some reason last night. That was disappointing. But I was ready for this [elimination]."

Disrespected or not, it's hard to argue that any of the top three don't belong on merit, something that Macchio acknowledges freely.

Macchio believes Chelsea Kane is the best dancer of the remaining stars competing on the show, but thinks it's anyone's Mirror Ball.

Who do you think will bring it home?

Ralph Macchio has enjoyed a great run this season, but did he do enough to earn a spot in the Dancing With the Stars finals last night? It doesn't look good.

His Argentine tango with Karina Smirnoff was a crowd-pleaser, both feisty and precise, yet the judges felt it lacked something in the emotional department.

Compared to his competition, it didn't smolder.

Tack on another low-ish score in the salsa and Daniel-san is, again, in the lowest scoring position and ripe for the picking on this evening's results show.

Is this the end? If so, Ralph did himself and his family - who we got to meet in the second segment below - so very proud. Here's him dancing Monday:

After a cyst in his leg caused him to miss four days of rehearsal, Ralph Macchio struggled to even get on the floor this week on Dancing with the Stars.

It showed, as he and Karina Smirnoff earned the lowest scores of the night.

The 49-year-old actor and his partner scored a 25 out of 30 on their first dance and a 21 out of 30 in the "instant dance," which they barely rehearsed.

"For someone who's had limited time to practice, you did a great job," Len Goodman said. "The thing is, it lacked polish. You only get polish with time."

Carrie Ann Inaba added: "It's the hardest thing to dance when you're in pain." That it is. But will America take that into account and save Ralph?

Monday was "guilty pleasure night" on Dancing With the Stars, an event that kicked off with Hanson rocking out to its famous '90s hit "Mmmbop."

That pretty much set the tone for the night.

Karina Smirnoff, whose Playboy cover could be considered a guilty pleasure in itself, took a spill that sent Ralph Macchio tumbling from the top:

Nevertheless, they rebounded enough to score 24 points, which kept them out of last, and it's hard to see these favorites leading us tonight.

Meanwhile, Chelsea Kane and Romeo proved they're contenders and blew up THG's rankings, each earning a coveted 10 and a pair of 9s to boot.

Romeo tried to live up to his name with Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On," ending a waltz by passionately kissing partner Chelsie Hightower:

After a strong start this season, Ralph Macchio took a step back last week on Dancing With the Stars. The issue? His lack of chemistry with Karina Smirnoff.

Yes, lack of chemistry with Karina Smirnoff. Future Playboy cover girl Karina Smirnoff. If that can't ignite a little romance into your waltz, you've got issues.

Fortunately, he got the memo this week, climbing back up the leaderboard with an inspired performance that tied him with Hines Ward for second place.
