Justin Bieber has taken a break from hanging with supermodels to chill with an NBA superstar.

In a photo posted Tuesday to Instagram, the singer says he's having "Brunch" with Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant, not specifying whether the two planned their meal together or simply bumped into each other.

Bieber, of course, is a decent baller himself.

He was named MVP of the 2011 Celebrity All-Star game and has been known to play pick-up during breaks from music video shooting.

Everybody has to start somewhere, right? Right. For some of Hollywood's best and brightest, that somewhere is on the playing field and not the movie set.

Yes, it's true. Many of our favorite stars had aspirations of becoming professional athletes when they were children, just like you probably did. (But not me. I always dreamed of being a rock star. We can all see how THAT turned out.)

You might know that Justin Bieber loves to play hockey, but did you know he's also pretty decent at basketball? And did you know that rapper 2 Chainz was a star high school hoops standout in Atlanta?

Kate Upton, SI model, actress, and all around hottie used to ride horses! And then there's Duchess Kate Middleton who is great at basically everything she does, including besting Prince William in sailing.

Take a look at these 13 celebrity athletes who are probably better athletes than you. And me. (Hey, we're all good at something, right? Right. Let's keep telling ourselves that.)

The puck is about to drop on the most anticipated hockey game of the Winter Olympics.

It's USA versus Canada in a semifinal matchup, with the winner moving on to play Sweden for the Gold Medal.

As if these stakes weren't high enough, Command Transportation has now proposed another prize for the winner: it gets to say goodbye forever to Justin Bieber!

A freight broker in Illinois, the company has posted the following picture on its Twitter account, hitting especially close to home for Bieber, who was born in Canada and who is a major hockey fan:

The Biebs actually stopped by a junior league hockey practice a few weeks ago, skating around with some teenagers and posing for photos with excited teammates.

Compared to urinating into a mop bucket, the following image isn't a big deal.

But it's drawing the major ire of hockey fans around the nation.

The owner of the Chicago Blackhawks recently posted a photo on Twitter of Justin Bieber posing alongside the Stanley Cup, the most iconic trophy in professional sports.

Considering The Biebs is Canadian, and is already considered by some to be a front runner (note this Miami Heat hat during an NBA Finals appearance), the image is causing some serious anger within the Twittersphere.

We already knew that Justin Bieber was a baller. The singer was named MVP of the 2011 Celebrity All-Star Game.

But at least one minor league hockey team admires the artist for his moves on the ice as well: the Bakersfield Condors have offered Bieber a contract!

Justin Bieber in Germany

Says Matt O'Dette on the squad's website, regarding why his team has been afflicted with Bieber Fever:

"Very rarely do you see this combination of skill and toughness. We share a common Canadian heritage since we both hail from Ontario. I've scouted some video of him online skating with my hometown team, the Toronto Maple Leafs, and I think he could provide some elusive speed up front for us. Plus, he's a right-handed shot which we've been looking to add. I think if we paired him on a line with (Robby) Dee and (Peter) Boyd we'd be tough to beat."

The site adds that Justin "possesses soft hands, a good skating stride, and a devastating wrist shot capable of beating NHL caliber goaltenders. He appears to be strong in shootouts as well."

You've been warned, Martin Brodeur!

Hey, Steve Nash, you might as well refer to Justin Bieber as a bus driver.

Because the singer just took you to school!

During a pick-up game this week that featured Canadian legend against Canadian legend, the 17-year old received a pick from a teammate, crossed over the two-time NBA MVP and finished with a reverse lay-up that was nothing but net... and he did it all with Selena Gomez cheering him on.

Seriously, is there anything the Biebs can't do?!? Watch now:

One enjoyed an incredible year in his field, earning an MVP trophy for one of the most inspired basketball performances of the last 12 months.

The other is Dirk Nowitzki.

But while the short singer and the tall NBA power forward seem to have nothing in common, both turned out for the ESPY Awards in Los Angeles last night. Bieber was simply a cute attendee, but Nowitzki walked away with the titles of Best NBA Player and Best Male Athlete.

Best Dressed, though? That's up to readers to decide below.

They are both solid ballers, but only one can win this matchup. Will it be The Biebs or The Dirk? View Poll »
