Come September, Justin Bieber will no longer be his family's only author.

The superstar, who signed a second book deal last month, will soon need to make room for his mother, Pattie Mallette. Her memoir "Nowhere But Up: The Story of Justin Bieber's Mom," will come out on 9/18/12 and center on her journey from a troubled teen... to the single parent of a global sensation.

Referring to others that have suffered through similar experiences - abuse, trauma, addiction - Pattie says of the book: "I want them to see that no matter how desperate their circumstances may be, they can have hope for a better future."

Agrees Jennifer Leep, the editorial director at publishing company Revell:

"Pattie’s story is a powerful example of courage and determination that will inspire anyone who has faced struggles in life. She’s living proof that even in the darkest of places, there is always room for hope."

Justin Bieber turned 18 years old on March 1, which means you can feel less dirty thinking of the singer in certain ways, ladies. But know this: he probably isn't thinking of you at all.

That's because the singer is clearly smitten with girlfriend Selena Gomez, as evidenced by his behavior at a surprise party thrown in his honor Friday night at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.

"He was all over Selena the whole time, walking her around by the hand. He kept kissing her," an onlooker tells Us Weekly. "It's clear she was the best part of the night for him. He is still so in love with her."

Also in attendance at the shindig: Justin's mom and grandparents; his manager (who presented him with a new car last week); Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, Ashley Tisdale, Cody Simpson and... Mike Tyson, among other stars.

A the Twit pic above proves, however, Justin only had eyes - and lips - for one attendee.

Two THG favorites are featured on the season premiere of MTV's Punk'd.

The network will reboot this franchise on March 29, with original host Ashton Kutcher serving as executive producer but a different celebrity in charge of the big prank each week. Up first? Justin Bieber pulling one over on Taylor Swift.

Based on the preview below, it looks like Bieber sets Swift up to believe she ruined a couple's wedding... via some kind of big fire. Check it out now:

Future editions of the show - which will air at 10 p.m. on Thursdays - will be hosted by Miley Cyrus, Kellan Lutz, Hayden Panettiere, Bam Margera, and Dax Shepard; while victims will include Khloe Kardashian, Tyler Posey and Demi Lovato.

Justin Bieber turned 18 today, and he just received the best birthday gift of all.

No, not this new car, although that was pretty cool of manager Scooter Braun to present. We're referring to best wishes from the most important young woman in his life, girlfriend Selena Gomez.

“Happy birthday to my best friend in the whole world!!! Have a great birthday baby!” Selena Tweeted this afternoon, attaching the following photo of the couple with her message:

Things are clearly going VERY well for Justin and Selena, but not that well. The former cleared up any engagement talk this morning with Ryan Seacrest. Bieber told the radio host:

"First and foremost, I’m not engaged. You know, we’re still young, at this moment in time, this is where I am, so that’s all I can really say."

Fair enough. This is all we can say in response to the photo above: AWWWWW!

For his 18th birthday - TODAY!!! - Justin Bieber delivered an amazing fit for his fans: he appeared on Ellen and revealed details about his upcoming new single.

But the singer's manager also made a surprise on the program and shocked his client with a present of his very own: an electric car!

On behalf of himself and Usher, Scooter Braun produced the environmentally friendly Fiskar Karma in order to celebrate a celebrity who does so much for other people. Case in point, Scooter told the audience: Justin visited with a Make-a-Wish Foundation child every single day he was on tour last year, with only one rule - no cameras allowed.

Watch Bieber react with genuine gratitude in the following video:

"On March 26, my first single is coming out and it’s called ‘Boyfriend,’” Justin says in the following video, going on to describe the theme of the track he co-wrote with Mike Posner. “Basically I’m talking to this girl, 'if I was your boyfriend I would never let you go.'"

During the taping, Justin‘s manager, Scooter Braun, surprised his client with a new car: the environmentally-friendly Fiskar Karma.

Bieber and Ellen also discussed the former's trip to a special elementary school earlier this year and how the singer gets involved in so many charitable endeavors. What a great guy. Send him your birthday wishes now!

It is totally on between Justin Bieber and an animated beaver.

Two weeks after attorneys for the singer sent a cease-and-desist letter to RC3, the makers of a video game titled "Joustin Beaver," that company has fired back, alleging that its creation does NOT violate Bieber's trademark claims.

  • Joutsin Bieber

"The App, a video game, is a parody of the commercial success of the Defendant and any celebrity," RC3 states in its lawsuit, going on to detail the game, which hilariously included "Otter-graphs."

By admitting the game is a reflection on Justin's celebrity lifestyle, the company is aiming to convince a judge it possesses a First Amendment right to use the teen pop star's intellectual property. It's all a bit confusing, we know. Even more so for girls who got excited when they saw "Justin Bieber" and "Beaver" in this headline.

We didn't mean to mislead.

Justin Bieber will release his very own new album in the near future. But, until then, the 17-year old sensation is having a blast chipping in with other artists.

Earlier this week, the Biebs appeared in a music video (along with Selena Gomez and Ashley Tisdale) for Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe," and now he's teaming up with Far East Movement for "Live My Life," a single off that group's upcoming CD, "Dirty Bass."

Bieber pretty much just sings the book ("Live My Life!"), but it's still worth a listen. Check out the track now:

One bestseller down, another on the way.

About two years after the release of "First Step 2 Forever: My Story," Justin Bieber has signed a deal to come out with a second memoir in September. It will be titled "Justin Bieber: Just Getting Started" and it will feature exclusive images and quotes of the singer, as he takes fans behind the scenes of life on the road.

"I'm so excited to be working on another book with HarperCollins," Justin tells Us Weekly. "Being able to share my story with my fans through these books is an absolute privilege. I can't wait to show them more about my life on tour and in the studio in this next book."

Aside from singing and writing, Bieber is looking to add the title of "producer" to his resume. He played a key role in signing Canadian artist Carly Rae Jespen and even appears in her new music video.
