In the wake of a second racist video hitting the Web this week, Justin Bieber took to Instagram last night and quoted the bible.

He confessed his sins and asked for forgiveness.

The singer did not, however, directly reference the footage of him repeatedly using the N-word and joking about joining the KKK.

But Justin has now gone ahead and done just this in a statement to E! News.

Justin Bieber has been featured in two racist videos over the past few days.

But the singer has also issued a couple heartfelt apologies, has never shown a single bigoted tendency and was filmed making these remarks when he was a young teenager.

As a result, most folks appear to have forgiven Bieber.

Most, that is, except for nemesis Drake Bell.

The actor - who has tried to deport Bieber to Canada and who has referred to him as a "little piece of sh-t" - took to Twitter today and wondered why Justin is being cut so much slack.

The Young Money Entertainment crew is sticking up for Justin Bieber.

Speaking on behalf of his company, President Mack Maine tells TMZ that he's viewed the Justin Bieber N Word video - along with the footage of Bieber referencing the KKK - and that he has no hard feelings against the artist.

"Bieber does not have a slave mentality. He treats his people with respect," Maine says.

Maine goes on to say Bieber has "legitimately adopted the culture of the hip hop, African American culture,” that his actions speak a lot louder than these immature words.

Give Justin Bieber credit:

The singer is not running from his ongoing racist video scandal.

Over the weekend, footage leaked of Bieber using the N Word as a punchline in a joke he told at age 15.

But the artist quickly issued a heartfelt apology and the issue mostly went away.

Until yesterday, that is, when another video surfaced, this one filmed when Justin was only 14 years old.

It features the superstar again using the N Word (many times) and also referencing the KKK.

A new video of Justin Bieber as a 14-year old has surfaced.

And this one is even more racially charged than the previously leaked footage of Bieber dropping the N Word as the punchline to a joke.

The video depicts a young Bieber singing a scandalous cover of his track "One Less Lonely Girl," replacing the final word of the title with "n-gger."

He repeats it over and over and also references the Ku Klux Klan.

According to TMZ, this video was part of the package used by a former employee who tried to extort Bieber for $1 million.

According to a new report, Justin Bieber had the opportunity to prevent his racist joke from ever going public over the weekend.

As long as he forked over $1 million.

Indeed, an insider tells TMZ that reps for the artist were approached two months ago by an attorney for someone who worked on one of Bieber’s video projects.

This dishonest individual found the embarrassing footage (of a 15-year old Bieber dropping the N Word) on Justin's hard drive... stole it... and held it for a $1 million ransom.

To paraphrase Jonah Hill, whose gay slur at a photographer went viral today, being good at making movies does not make one good at being a famous person.

Celebrity status and paparazzi attention go hand-in-hand. Sometimes to the point of hand-to-hand combat if you're Kanye West. It's a very weird dichotomy.

Some celebs have dealing with paps down to a science and even use it to their advantage (Kim Kardashian). Others rarely keep their cool (Justin Bieber).

Others still, like Jonah, aren't famous enough to get used to being hounded, but are still famous enough to get harassed occassionally and make a bad decision.

Then there's Alec Baldwin, who's in his own league.

Take a look at all of the above, and many more stars who have had memorable paparazzi clashes they wish they could take back (or not) below:

A couple A-listers demonstrated the art of the apology this week.

First, Justin Bieber was caught on tape telling a racist joke (when he was 15 years old) - but the singer quickly released a lengthy, heartfelt apology, dismissing his latest scandal far more easily than other recent slip-ups.

Jonah Hill then used an anti-gay insult to slam a cameraman, yet he also jumped on the issue and admitted his word choice was disgusting.

How do these mea culpas compare to past instances of regret exhibited by actors, artists and athletes?

We can all pretty much agree at this point that Justin Bieber is not a racist.

Granted, footage leaked over the weekend of the singer using the N Word in an off-color joke... but the incident took place many years ago and Bieber has never exhibited any kind of racist behavior.

Still, this the video generated more negative coverage of the artist, whose once-clean image continues to take major hits on a near-daily basis.

He allegedly tried to steal a cell phone a few weeks ago; he told off a fan who merely wanted to take a photo; and those Justin Bieber deposition videos will forever cast a dark cloud over the star.

The world saw two unexpected sides of Justin Bieber over the weekend:

  1. The racist side.
  2. The humble, apologetic side.

On Sunday morning, video of a 15-year old Bieber dropping the N Word and telling an off-color joke hit the Internet.

A short while later, Bieber apologized profusely, admitting that he made a few mistakes when he was young and didn't know the "power of certain words and how they can hurt."

Almost immediately after the scandal broke, meanwhile, Floyd Mayweather came out and defended his friend, despite their differences in skin color.

"We all make mistakes when we are young, it’s part of growing up," the boxer said.
