He may have recently split from Selena Gomez, but Justin Bieber still has an anniversary to celebrate.

It's been six years since the artist unveiled his You Tube channel... which of course led to his eventual discovery by Usher... which led him into the hearts and minds of young women around the globe.

In honor of the occasion, and of his upcoming "Believe Acoustic" album, Justin has released a stripped-down version of "Take You."

In a new Instagram photo of the 18-year old's upper right chest, we see a slew of Roman Numerals, the same artwork recently penned on to the arm of producer Jamal Rashid, who Tweeted:

"Great Minds Think Alike ! @justinbieber 1975 Same Tatts spiritual meanings."

Well… okay. Except it's unclear what kind of meaning "1975" has to the singer and, this is awkward, but: those numerals do NOT add up to the year/number in question. See for yourself:

2013 is off to a REALLY rough start for Justin Bieber.

Dealing with a weed smoking scandal, and having reportedly been dumped by Selena Gomez, Bieber now faces a lawsuit from a former bodyguard named Moshe Benabou.

According to TMZ insiders, Benabou claims Bieber screamed at him and slugged him multiple times in the chest at some point during his employment (March 2011 - October 2012) after the two disagreed on how to handle a member of Bieber's entourage.

Justin Bieber took time away from smoking up and splitting with Selena Gomez this week to pose for a photo with one of America's best swimmers.

The Biebs met up with Missy Franklin prior to a show in Denver Monday night, with the Olympic Gold Medalist caring not one bit about those Justin Bieber smoking weed stories.

"With the Biebs," Missy wrote as a caption to this photo. "He truly is a wonderful and genuine person! Such an honor to meet him!"

Bieber then responded in mind: "@FranklinMissy nice meeting u too. Enjoy the show."

With Justin and Selena now over for good, might Bieber take a dip in Franklin's pool? If you know what we mean?

So well played, 4Chan. Except for the part where you exploited a legitimate illness and spread the idea of self-injury as a method of expression.

Forget the Justin Bieber smoking weed scandal. This singer is simply going about his professional life.

And that life will take him to NBC's most famous stage on February 9, as Bieber has been officially booked as a host on Saturday Night Live!

The artist - who will be promoting his album "Believe Acoustic" - will perform double duty on the late-night sketch program, joining Bruno Mars and others who have both hosted and been the evening's musical act.

In 2010, Bieber appeared in a sketch opposite Tina Fey; and he also helped Andy Samberg celebrate 100 Digital Shorts last May.

Need we even ask: Will you be staying up late to watch Bieber play host?
