The Bachelor Season 18 comes to a gripping conclusion tonight, when Juan Pablo Galavis gets down on one knee and pops the question to his soulmate.

Or not. But someone will win the final rose, FWIW.

Barring a stunning development in which Juan pulls a Brad Womack and picks no one this evening either Nikki Ferrell or Clare Crawley will win Season 18.

We could actually see that happening, for sure, but The Bachelor spoilers indicate he does in fact choose someone. But who? And how? And does it last?

For those details, just read on, The Bachelor fans ...

So will Nikki Ferrell or Clare Crawley become Juan Pablo's wife? We're going to go ahead and say no and no, based on what we know of this guy.

That said, Galavis does choose one woman over the other:

After the shocking events of Tuesday night, Juan Pablo Galavis and The Bachelor Season 18 are down to a mere two women heading into the March 10 finale.

By DEFAULT (Juan Pablo's least favorite word), Clare Crawley and Nikki Ferrell are still in St. Lucia, pining and yearning to be the hunk's trophy wife.

Who will he choose? And are they engaged, or even together right now?

Questions we'll answer in The Bachelor spoilers below ... if you DARE!

And the Winner is?

Who do you want to win The Bachelor Season 18, Nikki Ferrell or Clare Crawley? Vote for who you hope gets that final rose ... View Poll »

Before we reveal the alleged conclusion, a brief recap of where we stand:

  • At this point, both of the women say they LOVE Juan Pablo.
  • Juan Pablo has probably been inside both of them already.
  • El Bachelor sends mixed signals and kinda doesn't care.
  • Even Chris Harrison says he sort of sucks in this role.
  • He's been dumped twice on the show himself.

All of that said ... his season-ending decision may disappoint. Why?

Tonight on The Bachelor Season 18 Episode 9, what happens in the Fantasy Suite doesn't stay in the Fantasy Suite. And whatever it is goes horribly wrong.

Juan Pablo met the families of the four remaining ladies during Monday night's hometown dates, gave Renee Oteri the pink slip and moved on to St. Lucia.

The overnight dates are typically a deal-breaker on the ABC reality series, but never before have we seen anything like what's being teased in this promo:

The Bachelor spoilers have hinted all winter long that there's drama in store for fans when we hit St. Lucia, and this teaser would certainly attest to that:

  • Clare Crawley and Nikki Ferrell appear to be loving life with Juan Pablo
  • Andi Dorfman appears to be in the exact opposite boat and freaks out
  • Nikki is seen crying too, but that looks like the work of clever editing

It's almost accepted that Andi Dorfman bounces, based on this and offhand comments from Chris Harrison about Clare and Nikki on the After the Final Rose special.

The question is why? What makes this such an epic disaster?

The Bachelor airs special back-to-back episodes tonight and tomorrow as Juan Pablo Galavis takes his final four on hometown dates, then overnight dates.

Tonight, his visits to the ladies' hometowns will end with one shown the door. Tomorrow, the final three will embark on a journey to a tropical paradise.

It is there, Us teases, that Juan Pablo's WORST NIGHTMARE comes true.

Juan Pablo: Fantasy Suite Nightmares!

What the celebrity gossip tabloid means (and The Bachelor spoilers have already made clear) is that yet another woman will dump Juan Pablo and leave the show.

The magazine won't name the woman, but we have a pretty good idea.

Given speculation that Andi Dorfman becomes the next Bachelorette, it stands to reason that she bails, leaving Clare Crawley and Nikki Ferrell as the final two.

That's just our best guess for now, though. According to insiders:

Clare Crawley and Nikki Ferrell, two of Juan Pablo Galavis' favorite girls on The Bachelor, are not exactly winning over the other hopefuls quite the same way.

But Elise Mosca, who was eliminated by Juan Pablo this week, says the fact that these two ladies are so unpopular is not just because others are bitter.

  • Clare Crawley Pic
  • Nikki Ferrell Pic

"I don't think that the differences the girls are having with Clare and Nikki in the house have anything to do with jealousy," she said in an interview.

"I think that their actions are the reason. It just so happens that they're the ones that, you know, are getting roses and one-on-one time, and that's frustrating."

"I think that it's very frustrating to see those two act a certain way with the girls and then act a certain way with him, and I think that's been said."

"I don't, you know, I think that a lot of people are just confused because their negativity and their insecurities are very not attractive to the other girls."

"So when it's attractive to Juan Pablo, that's confusing, because it might not be attractive to the girls in the house. So I don't think it's a jealousy thing."

"I think it's confusion, not seeing what Juan Pablo sees in them."

The Bachelor returns on Monday, January 6, and when it does, the man of the hour Juan Pablo Galavis will have 27 ladies to choose from on the ABC show.

Yes, 27. For the FIRST TIME IN BACHELOR HISTORY, the star will have exactly two more than the requisite 25 aspiring trophy wives from whom to pick.

Juan Pablo Galavis will break 26 hearts between the premiere and the March finale. Or at least 24-25. Two or three typically make the final episode.

Such was the case on last season's Bachelorette ... when Juan Pablo barely got any screen time, but still emerged as the most popular guy all winter.

Not sure if that says more about Juan Pablo or the kind of men Desiree Hartsock is attracted to, but come January 6, it'll be JPG doling out roses.
