The American Idol Top Seven performed songs from the last three years last night, and drew mostly praise from the three judges for their contemporary covers.

"Mantasia" himself, Joshua Ledet, led off American Idol's Top 13 with a rendition of Stevie Wonder's "I Wish" that he said was "totally out of my comfort zone."

With a little help from a piano player with a gospel background similar to Joshua's, you wouldn't have known it Wednesday night. He did a nice job with it.

The bar is already set very high for Joshua Ledet.

This season 11 hopeful covered a song by one American Idol icon last night (Jennifer Hudson's "You Pulled Me Through") and was then referred to by Steve Tyler as "Mantasia," a clear reference to season four winner Fantasia Barrino.
