Jonathan Rhys-Meyers Attempts Suicide, Sources Claim
Jonathan Rhys-Meyers is a very talented actor with a very troubled personal life.
Great Britain's The Sun reports that paramedics arrived at the star's house in London Tuesday night because he swallowed pills in what is believed to be a suicide attempt.
"This is very sad. It was the opinion of those present that he tried to take his life," an insider tells the newspaper.
Earlier this month, The Tudors star checked into a five-star rehabilitation clinic in South Africa. It was his fifth stint in such a facility.
Let's all hope there's still time for Rhys-Meyers to find his way.

UPDATE: A Scotland Yard spokesman says: "We can confirm we were called by the London Ambulance Service to an address in NW8 to report to a man refusing treatment. Police attended, and the man was taken by ambulance to a central London hospital. That was the end of our involvement."
A friend, meanwhile, says the actor "relapsed," but did not try to kill himself.
Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Reena Hammer: Still Dating!
Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Reena Hammer may not be at the level of Renee Sloan and Scott Baio just yet, but they aren't broken up, either.
The longtime twosome have been fighting off rampant celebrity gossip rumors that claim their relationship is over, but they prove in the picture below that it's actually going strong.
The photo was taken after Meyers and Hammer had dinner at Benares Indian restaurant in London last night.
Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Reena Hammer. Together. In love.
Last week, charges against the actor were dropped after he apologized through his lawyer for being drunk and abusive at Dublin Airport.
As for the couple, they look as tight as Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves, don't they? We wish them the best.
Jonathan Rhys Meyers Latest to Ride Rehab Train
Jonathan Rhys Meyers, star of Showtime's The Tudors, has entered a rehab facility, his rep tells People magazine exclusively.
"After a non-stop succession of filming, Jonathan Rhys Meyers has entered an alcohol-treatment program," his rep, Meredith O'Sullivan, says.
"He felt a break was needed to maintain his recovery."
The 29-year-old actor, who costarred with Scarlett Johansson in Woody Allen's Match Point last year, plays Henry VIII in The Tudors.
The series premiered on April 1, and the actor recently finished filming the drama August Rush with Keri Russell, Terrence Howard and Robin Williams.
Meyers's rep adds that "Jonathan plans to resume his schedule following completion."
Meyers joins the likes of Robbie Williams, Jesse Metcalfe, Daniel Baldwin and the great Britney Spears on the list of celebrities to enter detox of late. We wish him a speedy recovery.
