To say Jon Voight is not a huge fan of Barack Obama would probably be a fairly safe statement, but Angelina Jolie's estranged father has really outdone himself now.

Slamming the Commander-in-Chief again in an open letter in the Washington Post, the 71-year-old staunch Republican makes some pretty strong accusations.

Jon's views, in a nutshell: Barack Obama propagandizes and hates Jews while defending criminals, illegal immigrants and terrorists for political gain. Harsh.

The letter makes his anti-health care rant seem tame.

Here's what Voight had to say about Obama, who he previously termed a "false prophet" and his controversial foreign and domestic policies. Do you agree?

"President Obama:

"You will be the first American president that lied to the Jewish people, and the American people as well, when you said that you would defend Israel, the only Democratic state in the Middle East, against all their enemies."

"You have done the opposite."

"You have propagandized Israel, until they look like they are everyone's enemy - and it has resonated throughout the world. You are putting Israel in harm's way, and you have promoted anti-Semitism throughout the world."

Not only is this piece of Angelina Jolie gossip actually true, it involves her and gentleman she's not normally linked to by celebrity gossip news publications:

That would be her estranged actor dad (her real name is Angelina Jolie Voight). The whole Jolie-Pitt clan was seen stepping out with her dad Sunday in Italy!

The fact that Jon Voight joined Angelina Jolie, her partner Brad Pitt and their children for a trip down Venice's Grand Canal was significant for the family:

No one mentioned Jennifer Aniston even once!

Reports say the Voights are patching things up!

Although the father-daughter pair have had an uneasy relationship and have spent much of the last decade estranged, they reportedly reconciled lately.

Sunday marks the first time Jolie and Voight have been photographed together in several years. Hopefully it's indicative of a new era of good relations.

Nice to see Jon took the time out from calling Barack Obama a socialist dictator to spend time with his daughter. Life is too short to stay mad, right?

Of course, this being Angelina Jolie, she's never too far from tabloid speculation. The reason she's in Venice is to shoot The Tourist with Johnny Depp.

There are supposedly romantic sparks flying there. So it goes ...

Possibly delusional and hate-filled actor Jon Voight appeared on Fox News' Huckabee this weekend and slammed Barack Obama for being arrogant, forcing his policies on America and essentially playing God when it comes to health care.

According to Jon, we are "witnessing a slow and steady takeover of our true freedoms" and becoming a "socialist nation" thanks to Obama and "civil unrest."

Indeed, there is rioting in the streets as we look out the window of The Hollywood Gossip office park right now. There is so much civil unrest it's ridiculous.

All we wanted was for things to stay the way they were, and for government to do nothing. But the takeover is happening so fast, we just gotta start looting.

Other observations made by the father of Angelina Jolie:

• We are told what cars we can drive, and how much we can make.
• Health care is a "personal crusade" of Obama that no one wants.
• "They" are taking away God's first gift to man, "our free will."
• The economic stimulus plan simply did not work.

The 70-year-old actor also says the President is "forcing upon" Americans something they do not want, even though their elected representatives will ultimately decide its fate by voting, and be held accountable in ensuing elections.

President Barack Obama enjoys a 59.4 percent job approval rating according to the latest national polls, compared to just 33.9 percent who say they disapprove.

You can consider Jon Voight firmly among those in the latter category.

The acclaimed actor and father of Angelia Jolie blasted the Prez at the GOP congressional fundraiser at the Washington Convention Center on Monday in D.C.

It was red meat at its best. In his speech, the 70-year-old said:

• "Everything Obama has recommended has turned out to be disastrous."
• "Are we supposed to sitting and waiting, watching for the possibility of a new Holocaust? Who’s going to take the responsibility to keep America ... I mean Israel, safe. I’ll tell you why this really scares the hell out of me."
• "Obama really thinks he is a soft-spoken Julius Caesar."

• "It saddens me greatly to think we were the great powerful good in the world. We as Americans knew America to be strong. We were the liberators of the entire world. We are becoming a weak nation."
• "[Barack Obama] thinks he can conquer the world with his soft-spoken sweet talk and really think he’s going to bring all of the enemies of the world into a little playground, where they’ll swing each other back and forth."
• "We and we alone are the right frame of mind to free this nation from this Obama oppression. Let’s give thanks to [Republicans] for not giving up and staying the course to bring an end to this false prophet, Obama.”
