Jon Gosselin secretly gave the author of a new Kate Gosselin book computer hard drives containing deeply personal information, according to an explosive new report.

Two law firms say Robert Hoffman's tell-all about Kate Gosselin violated trade secrets and copyright laws, and it was pulled off of Amazon after only two days.

Hoffman admits obtaining Kate's computer hard drive, but maintains he pulled it out of her trash (no joke) and that Jon had nothing to do with his action.

But now a source close to the situation tells a different story.

William Blankinship, a TV editor who worked on TLC's Jon and Kate Plus 8 and other family-oriented reality TV, was arrested last week on child porn charges.

Blankinship, 56, has been charged with 10 counts of sex exploit of a minor, meaning he possessed photos and/or video of a minor engaged in sexual activity.

A subcontractor for Figure 8 Films, Blankenship edited such TLC shows as Jon and Kate Plus 8, its spinoff Kate Plus 8, 17 Kids and Counting and Table for 12.

No bond has been set for the accused; he is likely "under the authority of the U.S. Marshals" until trial, a spokesperson for the Federal Bureau of Prisons said.

His employer wasted no time taking action. "Upon learning of the shocking allegations his employment was terminated," Figure 8 films said in a statement.

Fortunately, Blankinship was never in contact with the famous eight Gosselin kids, the 17 Duggar offspring or any other of TLC's stars, according to reports.

"At no time was this man ever in the field or in direct contact with any of the talent for any of our productions," the network said in its own statement.

When it comes to the recent ransacking of Jon Gosselin's apartment, Hailey Glassman would like to quote Shaggy: It wasn't me!

In response to allegations that she broke into her ex's residence and destroyed its surroundings like Jon destroyed his marriage, Glassman Tweeted on Friday:

"FYI that apartment everyone calls Jon's apartment was my apartment as well. We split rent!"

As for Hailey's future behind bars - as promised by Gosselin's attorney over the weekend - Glassman's lawyer tells a very different story:

"I think Mr. Heller went too far, saying that she's going to jail... She's not a suspect. She has not been arrested," Stephanie Ovadia told E! News. "She did nothing wrong."

Ovadia admits that security footage shows his client hauling away valuable items such as a big-screen television, but: "She only took what was hers."

No word if Jon's dignity was on that list.

Meanwhile, two (horrible) people from Jon's past spoke to E! about the events and are on Team Hailey. Take it away, Michael Lohan and Kate Major!

"Something sounds very fishy to me," said Major. "Jon should focus on getting his own life together and stop trying to ruin other peoples' lives."

Et tu, Mr. Lohan?

"I have come to know Hailey and I do know her attorney. Stephanie is one of the most integritous people I know, and I have never known Hailey to lie."
