Less-Full House: Jodie Sweetin, Cody Herpin Split
Former Full House actress, new mom and recovering meth addict Jodie Sweetin is splitting up with her husband of a year and change, Cody Herpin.
The 26-year-old Sweetin filed papers in Orange County, Calif., for legal separation from Cody Herpin, 31, whom the actress had once called a "blessing" who helped turn around her life after years of methamphetamine addiction.
The pair were married in July 2007 and welcomed a daughter, Zoie, this April. They recently announced they were working on a reality show together.
That's a new one, splitting up before their reality show airs. Maybe they can re-marry in time for the premiere? One can hope. One can only hope.
Here's a look back at some of the highlights of their marriage:
Coming Soon: A Jodie Sweetin Reality Show
Former Full House star Jodie Sweetin is taking the Tori Spelling approach to getting back in the news: A useless reality series no one cares about.
"My husband and I are now shooting our reality show, which is going to be really fun," Sweetin told People. "It's following us and our new baby."
"[It's all about] getting back in the business, especially for me. I think it's going to be a really exciting show. It's definitely going to show my sillier, funner side, and me being a mom. Add in this business, [and] it's going to be a fun show."
We hope the Jodie Sweetin reality show contains action like this.
Jodie Sweetin gave birth to misspelled daughter Zoie in April. The father is a dude named Cody Herpin, who married the recovering meth addict in July 2007.
What's not certain is a home for the show, which is awaiting a network. Amazing that they're not bending over backwards competing for this future smash.
"We don't [have one], but we're actually shooting it," Sweetin says. "We've shopped it with several right now, and we're in talks or negotiations with two of them."
Jodie Sweetin Eats Lunch With Hot Girl
Oh, wait, that's Candace Cameron of Full House fame! Damn, girl. More than a decade after Full House ended its run, D.J. Tanner is still so fly.
What's Candace been up to while Jodie has been hosting Pants Off Dance Off, getting f*%ked up on crystal meth and marrying Cody Herpin?
Not a lot. She's been married to former NHL star Valeri Bure for 12 years (!) and has cranked out three beautiful celebrity babies with him.
An evangelical Christian, Candace Cameron is currently producing and starring in The Krew, a half-hour awareness video aimed at helping children avoid and/or deal with dangerous situations in everyday life. So nice to see her!
It's a Full House reunion for Candace Cameron and Jodie Sweetin!
Jodie Sweetin Pens Weight Loss Diary
Dear Diary: This crystal meth tastes awesome!!!
That's what an diary entry by Jodie Sweetin would have read as recently as a few years ago. But the former Full House star has come a long way.
Following her pregnancy, Sweetin is now penning a diary for OK! Magazine. But it focuses on weight loss, not drug use. Check out the actress latest entry, regarding a pool party thrown by Dave Coulier:
I was scared to even try on the bathing suit at first, but I put it on and despite horribly unattractive lighting and all the other dressing room dangers, I smiled! Then when Saturday arrived and I knew it was time for the real deal, I was truly nervous.
But I put on the suit and walked out of the bathroom, where my husband [Cody Herpin] saw me and said, "Wow! Babe, you look great!" I was jumping for joy!
So, little by little, I'm making it through the hurdles of summer with increasing confidence in myself! I'm still working hard and sticking to my Nutrisystem plan, but it's days like this past Saturday that keep me going towards my goal.
Jodie Sweetin: From Crystal Meth to Motherhood
Former Full House star Jodie Sweetin has a new role that comes with a full heart: mother to 7-week-old baby girl Zoie.
"You look at your baby and think, 'Wow, I did that.' It's really amazing," Sweetin said.
As Zoie happily snoozes on the shoulder of her dad, Sweetin's husband Cody Herpin, the marveling mom says, "I'm still like, 'Oh, wow, I'm a mom.' It's the most overwhelming, exciting thing I've ever done."
And a far cry from where she's been.
Best known for playing spunky middle child Stephanie Tanner on Full House from age 5 to 13, Sweetin then landed a real-life role that cast her against type: battling an addiction to crystal meth.
Jodie Sweetin and hubby Cody Herpin just became parents!
At 22, Sweetin was a college student married to LAPD officer Shaun Holguin and taking a break from acting when she first tried the drug.
Jodie Sweetin and Cody Herpin Welcome Baby Girl
We were all set to congratulate former Full House star Jodie Sweetin and her husband Cody Herpin on their new daughter... until we saw her name.
Zoie? Really?!?
The misspelled child was born via C-section on Saturday afternoon.
"Jodie says that she and her husband and family are absolutely thrilled and in love with baby Zoie," says a rep for the actress.
Jodie Sweetin and Cody Herpin: Expecting!
Jodie Sweetin is stealing the celebrity baby thunder from Halle Berry and Christina Aguilera.
We've just learned that the former Full House star and husband Cody Herpin are expecting. Congratulations are due for this former meth addict/pretend daughter of Bob Saget.
Good chance the conception between these sex kittens took place on the night pictured below:
Like Tameka Foster, Jodie Sweetin is now with child.
Jodie Sweetin Lap Dances, Cody Herpin Freaks
We'll be seeing Jodie Sweetin nude in no time.
See, the former star of Full House (yes, that's Stephanie Tanner below) recently engaged in some serious lap dancing at night club Area in Los Angeles with her frightened husband, Cody Herpin.
And a few months ago, Pamela Anderson and Cindy Crawford did the same for their respective beaus. Meanwhile, guess what turned up this week:
Yup, Cindy Crawford nude photos.
So, as you can see, Sweetin is taking all the necessary steps to eventually pose in the buff. And it would be quite the upset if she made it into the pages of Playboy before former co-stars, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, wouldn't it?Â
But it seems likely, now that Sweetin has made celebrity news three times recently for the following reasons:
- Marrying Cody Herpin
- Showing off her large breasts
- Giving a lap dance
Moreover, the actress hosted a program actually called "Pants Off/Dance Off." While seemingly a showcase for the train wreck that is Britney Spears, this competition appears to be ideal for Jodie, as well.
Herpin, meanwhile, looks a bit caught off guard by his wife's actions. And that's saying a lot for a guy that recently finished filming the horror movie Resident Evil: Extinction, alongside Heroes actress Ali Larter.
Looks to us like nothing in that film is scarier to Cody than Jodie Sweetin getting all up in his business.
Jodie Sweetin: Cody Herpin is My Best Friend!
Despite tying the knot before only a few friends at Little Church of the West in Las Vegas, Jodie Sweetin says her marriage to Cody Herpin wasn't a quickie wedding.
It was, you know, a really fast wedding.
"We wanted to keep it quiet," Bob Saget's TV daughter on Full House star tells People magazine. "We came to Vegas to get married. We had a bunch of friends come down after we got married to celebrate with us."
Sweetin, 25, who met Herpin, a 30-year-old set designer, through mutual friends, says they first began to discuss marriage back in May.
"We have been friends for a really long time and became really serious around Memorial Day and started talking about getting married," says Sweetin, who most recently hosted the hit show Pants-Off Dance-Off.
Jodie Sweetin considers the Vegas wedding simply a first step.
"In a year or so we're going to have bigger ceremony for family and friends," she says. "We don't know where yet."
Just promise you'll invite the Olsen Twins. Please.
But one thing is for sure, says the actress with the suddenly large boobs, who split from her first husband, a police officer, last year.
"Cody Herpin is my best friend. I married my best friend, and I couldn't ask for anything more. He's an unbelievable person."
The couple did not have a formal honeymoon, but they did spend several days in Sin City as a celebration of their nuptials.
"We didn't do anything too excessive," says Sweetin. "We ate at [the Bellagio Hotel's restaurant] Fix a few times, and that was fantastic."
Hopefully they didn't run into Vegas regular Kevin Federline. That would have made for a veritable D-list bonanza up in that piece.
Jodie Sweetin Marries Cody Herpin in Las Vegas
Jodie Sweetin, who starred on TV's Full House for eight seasons, is a new bride, a celebrity news site reported Saturday.
Sweetin, 25, exchanged vows with Cody Herpin, 30, last week at the Little Church of the West, a Las Vegas Strip wedding chapel, says CelebTV.com, citing a marriage certificate from the Clark County recorder's office.
This has to be the most surprising celebrity wedding since Amy Winehouse and Blake Fielder-Civil.
The Associated Press was able to reach a representative for the actress to confirm that Sweetin and Herpin tied the knot. Congratulations!
Jodie Sweetin played the middle child, Stephanie Tanner, on Full House. Then she grew up - literally - and has recently been sporting some rather big boobs. Nice.
Prior to tying the knot with Cody Herpin, Jodie Sweetin was married for four years to a Los Angeles police officer and semi-pro tennis player.
She and Shaun Holguin married in 2002, with many friends and family on hand, as well as former Full House stars. No word on whether the Olsen Twins were drinking underage.
Shortly after her first nuptials, however, Sweetin began abusing crystal meth. Her addiction lasted for a little over two years, and her friends, family, and husband were unaware.
In 2005, after being in the ER from the effects of alcohol and meth, she checked into rehab - voluntarily, unlike Britney Spears, who had to be dragged kicking and screaming.
"One minute, everyone loves you, everyone wants you, you're it," Jodie Sweetin said of her fall. "And the next minute, they're like, 'Who? Oh no, never mind.'
In February 2006, she appeared on Good Morning America to publicly announce her meth addiction, mentioning that five of her teeth rotted away. She and Holguin divorced in 2006.
Yikes. Well, that was then and this is now. Hopefully Cody Herpin can keep his wife, who's now the host of Pants Off Dance Off, out of her pants and on the right track.
