Jodie Sweetin: Engaged to Morty Coyle!
Jodie Sweetin got THE BEST SURPRISE gift at her 29th birthday party in Los Angeles Tuesday night – an engagement ring from Morty Coyle!
The actress' boyfriend and the father of her baby daughter Beatrix proposed to her in front of all their party guests at the Kibitz Room in L.A.
"It was a complete surprise," Sweetin said. "We are thrilled and I am in shock still!"
EVEN MORE FULL HOUSE: Jodie and Morty are making it official!
"I was glad that everybody was there," she says. "People videotaped it, it was great. My friend decorated the whole place with little diamonds on the table."
As for the ring, "it's so beautiful," says Jodie of her 2½-carat oval sapphire, surrounded by 18 diamonds in a snowflake shape - "a one-of-a-kind original."
Still, it's a bit early to put the former Full House star (who also has a two-year-old daughter, Zoie, with ex-husband Cody Herpin) on wedding watch.
"We are in no hurry as far as dates or anything like that," says Sweetin, who says that gay marriage rights factor into their decision to wait.
Whatever works for then. Congrats to Modie Swoyle.
Jodie Sweetin Introduces Beatrix Carlin Coyle!
Jodie Sweetin and Morty Coyle have debuted their child. Born about three months ago now, Beatrix Carlin, a.k.a. Bea Coyle is a cutie, that's for sure.
“She looks like me,” says the Full House alum. “She came out with blonde, fuzzy hair, and when I look at my own baby pictures it’s like she is me!”
Adds Morty Coyle, “She may have my insides, but all the outside looks like Jodie.”
PARENTHOOD: How Sweet(in) it is ...
Baby Bea was named for her dad’s favorite band, the Beatles, as well as the late comedian George Carlin, and the decision was so easy for both.
“I wanted something feminine, but really unique,” says Sweetin, who also has a daughter Zoie. “Something funky, romantic and old-fashioned.”
Zoie's dad is Sweetin’s ex-husband, Cody Herpin, with whom she went through an ugly split before linking up with Coyle. Glad it all worked out!
Fuller House: Jodie Sweetin Welcomes Another Kid!
Jodie Sweetin once starred on Full House. Now she's producing one.
The actress welcomed her second child, a baby girl named Beatrix, yesterday with boyfriend Morty Coyle. The baby's full name: Beatrix Carlin Sweetin Coyle.
"Jodie was amazing and is doing great," Morty Coyle told People.
Yeah, we have no idea what the deal is with that pic, or if it's even him to be honest. But it comes up when you do an image search for Morty Coyle. Hilarious.
Beatrix, whom her dad is already calling "Bea," is the couple's first child together. Jodie also has a 2-year-old daughter, Zoie, with ex-husband Cody Herpin.
"We're already madly in love with Beatrix and so grateful for the support from our family and friends. We can't wait for Zoie to meet her," the couple said.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
Jodie Sweetin Pregnant; Morty Coyle Responsible
Troubled actress Jodie Sweetin is pregnant with her second child, reports say.
The former Full House star, who has fought a well-documented fight against alcohol and crystal meth, is expecting a baby with her BF, club DJ Morty Coyle.
It's been a whirlwind courtship for Sweetin and Coyle, with the ink barely dry on the papers finalizing her divorce from Cody Herpin, her second husband.
Divorced as of April 20, the couple has a two-year-old daughter, Zoie.
Jodie Sweetin is newly divorced ... and knocked up!
The National Enquirer says Herpin is furious Sweetin is having another baby: “Raising a child takes a lot of time and patience. Jodie hasn’t put in nearly enough time with our own daughter. And now she’s having another child!”
In 2008 Sweetin was arrested on suspicion of DUI, shockingly she had her then eight-month-old daughter in the car with her. Herpin took Sweetin to court.
Now, Herpin claims he only learned of Sweetin's latest pregnancy during the finalization of their divorce. Cody laments: “I find it hard to believe Jodie will keep up her sobriety with the choices she keeps making. To have a child is no small thing.
Congratulations, Jodie and Morty, we think!
Jodie Sweetin and Cody Herpin: Divorced
Jodie Sweetin's house is no longer full. Or some funnier Full House double entendre.
A judge has made her divorce from Cody Herpin official, her rep confirmed to E!.
The marriage came to a crashing halt in all of three years for the pair.
Her transportation coordinator spouse, who she wed in July 2007 after just two months of dating, helped her bear a daughter, Zoie, the following April.
Soon after, she separated from Cody Herpin.
Things got ugly fast. He claimed Sweetin had fallen off the wagon and sought full custody of Zoie. She denied the allegations, insisting she was still sober.
Ultimately, they reached a truce and agreed to joint custody. But it's still over.
We really thought Jodie Sweetin and Cody Herpin would last, too ...
Unsweetined: A Shocking Tell-All From Jodie Sweetin
As the adorable middle child Stephanie Tanner on Full House from 1987-1995, Jodie Sweetin was America's sweetheart. Who knew that when the cameras stopped rolling, she and Mr. Bear were in the bathroom getting hopped up on meth.
Okay, maybe he wasn't her enabler, but it wasn't long before Jodie did become a full-fledged drug addict. Now, she's ready to cash in on those wild times!
She's putting pen to paper and detailing her sordid life full of drug use, overdoses, drunk driving and more in a new memoir, hilariously titled Unsweetined.
"I wanted to prove that I wasn’t the girl from Full House, that I could get more trashed than everyone else," she writes. Hey, at least it's probably honest.
Jodie Sweetin, who recently married and split with husband Cody Herpin, has only happy memories of her time on the Full House set. But after that?
"Being the real me wasn't interesting enough," she laments.
Stephanie and D.J. Tanner ... er, Jodie Sweetin and Candace Cameron.
In fact, it was before she even set foot in high school that she was getting drunk. At co-star Candace Cameron's wedding, she passed out in the restroom.
The year? 1994. She realized, "I was Jodie Sweetin and I was an alcoholic."
From there, she graduated quickly to pot, cocaine, ecstacy and crystal meth.
Throughout short-lived love affairs and stints in rehab, she continued using.
Until quite recently, too. Jodie fell off the wagon last December and officially rock bottom when she drove drunk with infant daughter Zoie in the car!
Now that's train wreck material! If nothing else, her impressive feats should blow Dustin Diamond's book about Saved By the Bell out of the water.
Cody Herpin, Jodie Sweetin "Working Hard"
Jodie Sweetin and her estranged husband, Cody Herpin, "are working hard to avoid a protracted custody battle," the actress' lawyer said.
The former Full House star, 26, and Herpin, 31, attended their first joint mediation session this week at an Orange County, Calif., court.
"They're currently trying to work things out regarding the custody of and sharing of their child," attorney Wilma Presley says.
"As far as reconciliation as a couple goes, you just never know."
Despite the recent drama, "Jodie is doing very well," Presley added. "She had a very nice Christmas. She had her daughter on Christmas Eve and morning, and so far, the sharing has been smooth. There haven't been complaints from either side."
Presley says that Jodie Sweetin is also "working hard on maintaining her sobriety and attending a 12-step program," as well as dedicating time to her book, which is an autobiography about both her childhood stardom and personal struggles.
Jodie Sweetin Falls Off Wagon, Stripped of Custody
Who'd have guessed Stephanie Tanner would turn into a train wreck.
Actually, a fair number of people, probably. You know how it goes with these child stars. Anyway, actress Jodie Sweetin is no longer allowed to see her eight-month-old daughter Zoie without supervision, according to a new court ruling.
A Orange County, Calif., judge made the decision after Sweetin's estranged husband, Cody Herpin, accused the former Full House star of being an unfit mother - citing an alleged incident in which Sweetin drove drunk with Zoie in the car.
The emergency custody hearing was held at Cody Herpin's request.
Jodie Sweetin, an admitted meth addict and alcoholic who moved in with her parents after staring down foreclosure at her own residence, is not allowed to be with Zoie unless one of her folks is present. Well, at least they live together.
A doctor also took the stand and claimed that Jodie had recently fallen off the wagon. However, the doctor said Jodie has been in touch with her sponsor and attending AA meetings. She does not believe the baby is at risk at the moment.
In a sign that can only be taken as promising for their daughter, the judge ordered both Cody and Jodie to submit to drug tests before the next hearing.
In other Full House alumni news, Candace Cameron is real thin!
Housing Market Claims Newest Victim: Jodie Sweetin
"Our house is in foreclosure, our water has been shut off twice. Currently, all of our other utilities are overdue. Our marriage has been rocky. [Herpin] kept finding one excuse after another for his failure to even attempt to find employment."
In the latest sign of tumultuous economic times, even former child stars are succumbing to rising adjustable mortgage rates and increased unemployment.
Cody Herpin, a driver and transportation coordinator in the film industry, stopped working after marrying Jodie Sweetin, the former Full House star alleges.
In court papers filed in Orange Country, Calif., Sweetin claims the couple were kept afloat financially with Full House residuals and help from their parents.
The actress filed for legal separation from Cody Herpin last month.
The documents come as part of a request for a court order allowing her to retrieve her stuff, as well as clothing and toys for their 7-month-old daughter, Zoie, in the event Herpin "prevents [her] from peacefully taking these items."
Sweetin claims she worries Herpin "will become very emotional and possibly erratic." Reached for comment by People, Herpin that Sweetin has returned home four times since the filing the court petition, but she won't even talk to him.
"I still have no idea what this is about," he says. "None of it makes sense."
As for his lack of employment, Cody Herpin says, "I was the stay-at-home dad, my job was taking care of Zoie," due to Sweetin's busy schedule.
Cody Herpin Discombobulated Over Jodie Sweetin Split
Just days after Jodie Sweetin filed for separation from husband Cody Herpin, her agent says the actress is "trying to stay positive" for 7-month-old daughter Zoie.
"Her focus is the baby," agent Stella Alex said Saturday. "Jodie's got a huge support system in her family and friends. She thinks this is what's best for her."
For his part, Cody Herpin, 31, says he's "still discombobulated" over the split, according to a report in People magazine. "Not knowing what's going on is hard."
He adds that Sweetin, 26, and their daughter are staying with her parents. "It's rough," he says. "Marriage is not taken lightly to me. It's supposed to be forever."
A SHATTERED MARRIAGE: Cody Herpin and Jodie Sweetin with baby Zoie.
According to the Superior Court papers filed on Wednesday in Orange County, Calif., Jodie Sweetin cited "irreconcilable differences" as the cause of the pair's split, and currently she seeks joint legal and physical custody of Zoie.
