An Arizona jury found Jodi Arias guilty of first-degree murder in the death of Travis Alexander, bringing to a close what became a sensational trial.

Minutes after a jury rendered its verdict Wednesday, finding Jodi Arias guilty of first-degree murder, she said she'd rather be executed if given the choice.

In the 32-year-old's mind, it beats the heck out of life in prison.

"The worst outcome for me would be natural life," she says.

"I believe death is the ultimate freedom, so I'd rather have my freedom as soon as I can get it," Arias told FOX10 in Phoenix of her desire to be killed.

Jodi Arias went on to say that, since she is not a smoker and longevity runs in her family, she could expect many years in prison if she got a life term.

The verdict is in, and Jodi Arias has been found guilty of murder.

A jury found that she killed ex Travis Alexander in cold blood.

Jordi Arias showed little emotion as the decision was read by a court clerk. As the jurors were polled, each affirming the guilty verdict, she fought back tears.

Outside the Arizona courtroom, the gathered crowd cheered.

Alexander's family hugged each other after the verdict was read, a measure of closure at last after a grisly death and a sensational criminal proceeding.

Murder suspect Jodi Arias, in Tweets sent out through a friend, admitted that she’s contemplated suicide and would have accepted a plea deal “years ago.”

Also, she's not a big fan of Nancy Grace.

After jurors in the first-degree murder trial deliberated for their first full day on Monday, the 32-year-old, via her friend, sent out a series of Tweets:

"I would have signed a plea years ago to avoid this disaster, but I was refused a plea as the State and the family refused to settle," Arias lamented.

"My only other option was suicide and, well …"

Jodi Arias left a cheerful voicemail, and sent both a text message and a long email to Travis Alexander on June 4, 2008 ... after she had killed him.

Prosecutor Juan Martinez showed this to the jury Thursday in ending his cross-examination of Jodi Arias, who is charged with first-degree murder.

On the upbeat voicemail Arias left hours after leaving Alexander’s body in his shower, she shot the breeze for a bit, then invited him to see Othello with her.

"Let me know. Talk to you soon. Bye!” she concluded.
