There has been no change in the status of Joan Rivers over the past couple days.
Which is, sadly, not a good sign for the 81-year old comedian.
Rivers stopped breathing during throat surgery on Thursday and was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City for treatment.
She remained in serious condition there and was then placed on life support over the weekend, as machines are now responsible for the star's breathing and her family will be forced to make a critical decision some time this week.
They said on Saturday that they're hopeful Rivers will pull through once she is taken off life support.
In a new brief statement yesterday, meanwhile, daughter Melissa Rivers said she and her relatives are “keeping our fingers crossed” when it comes to her mother’s fate.
