Despite rumors that he had a girlfriend in Chicago the whole time, and that they broke up shortly after getting engaged on The Bachelorette last night, Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski are still together, in love and happy as can be.

Appearing as an engaged couple for the first time on Tuesday's "After the Final Rose" special, the future Mr. and Mrs. Ed Swiderski gushed about each other.

Looks like it's for real, too.

The pair announced that Jillian is moving to Chicago to live with Ed on September 1, and that they are planning on getting married within the next 12 months!

Ed Swiderski and Jillian Harris

Before the details on Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski, the "After the Final Rose" special killed a good amount time with an update on Melissa Rycroft.

Not that we don't love Melissa. We just know she was dumped by Jason Mesnick, went on Dancing with the Stars and got engaged to Tye Strickland.

A clearly uncomfortable Kiptyn Locke was then forced to relive his rejection at the hands of Jillian on The Bachelorette season finale. And it still hurt.

Kiptyn said he has no regrets about the events that transpired on The Bachelorette, and was very genuine in everything he said and did on the show.

Then it was Reid Rosenthal's turn on the hot seat. For him, there certainly were regrets, but not about his journey back to Hawaii, only prior to that.

Despite Reid's outpouring of emotion, Jillian said even if he had told her how he felt sooner, she still would have chosen Ed. Awkward, but honest.

A 12-year-old in the audience then asked Reid out. He declined, courteously.

Jillian Harris, Reid Rosenthal

Reid's first talk with Jillian since the season finale was no less difficult.

When it was finally Ed's turn to take the stage on "After the Final Rose," Jillian Harris beamed. Ed breathed a sigh of relief that they can finally "go public."

Ed Swiderski said he wanted to propose to Jillian after their date in Spain, and for whatever it's worth, they seemed rather smitten with one another on stage.

Finally, Chris Harrison called Ed out on his "mankini" shorts and an audience member asked him about his performance anxiety. No issues there, thankfully.

What do you think? Will Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski make it?

After an emotional Bachelorette finale that saw Jillian Harris bid farewell to not one, but two popular hunks, fans are split over whether she made the right call.

Ed Swiderski proposed to the Canadian cutie Monday night, and as far as we can tell, they are still together and engaged. It was a tearful, fairy-tale conclusion.

Not without serious drama, however. Jillian bid farewell to Kiptyn Locke, a seemingly-perfect hunk from San Diego who is poised to be next star of The Bachelor.

Then, before she could embrace Ed, Jillian Harris was stunned by a return visit from third-place finisher Reid Rosenthal, who got down on one knee himself!

Ed Swiderski, Jillian Harris

After much consideration and a little guidance from her pimp, Jillian Harris turned down Reid and followed her heart, which belonged to Ed Swiderski.

While Ed had his share of detractors after his odd departure in mid-season, Jillian clearly had eyes for the Chicagoan all along. We are happy for her.

The question is, will they last? Will Jillian and Ed end up getting married and shattering the infamous Bachelor curse? Tell us what you think ...

In an emotional season finale, The Bachelorette star Jillian Harris ended up with Ed Swiderski, ousting Kiptyn Locke and leaving Reid Rosenthal devastated.

After Kiptyn was rejected, it appeared as if Reid might sweep Jillian off her feet with his dramatic return to the show. But ultimately, Jillian's feelings for Ed, the Chicago native who left and returned himself this season, were just too strong.

The episode began on the big island of Hawaii and a date with her parents, Ed Swiderski and his chest hair. He admits to her folks that he used to be married to his girlfriend in Chicago job, but now is here because he loves Jillian.

Glenn Harris gave Ed Swiderski his blessing to propose to Jillian.

Then it is time for Jillian's date with Kiptyn Locke. They are reunited at last. They kiss. A lot. They kiss again. They say a few words. And so on, et cetera.

Asked if he's in love with Jillian Harris, Kiptyn says he's "getting there." Moments later, he admits (to the camera) that he is in love with her. More kissing.

After meeting both guys, her parents and hot cousin praise ... both. Jill is still torn. Fortunately, she goes on second dates with both of the perfect fellas.

  • Jillian Waits
  • The Limo Ride

Jillian Harris' decision on love did not come easy. Wes would understand.

Ed's goes really well, with no sign of performance anxiety. He confesses that he wants to be with Jillian ... forever. Hard to top that, although Kiptyn Locke tries, saying he's ready to commit and wants Jillian to - OMG - move to San Diego.

In a shameless plug for Neil Lane, the guys both pick out rings. The dudes are hella nervous. Jillian has made her decision and decides she is going to let go of ...

... Kiptyn. Even after he was gonna propose and stuff. Heartbreaking.

Sad as she is, Jillian can now focus all her attention on ... wait, is that a mysterious taxi pulling up! Yes! With Reid Rosenthal, who arrives, shirt untucked!

In tears, Reid says he had to pull "a million" strings to get back on the show (yeah, right), admits his mistakes, and professes his undying love to Jillian. Swoon.

He drops to one knee and pops the question! It's the most romantic thing ever. But ... crickets. Jillian: "I need to think aboot this." She leaves. Reid waits.

Fortunately, Chris Harrison is there to coach her. He tells her to follow her heart. Jillian: "How do I make a decision like this?" Chris: "Because you know." Pimp.

Jillian cuts Reid loose for the second time. That's gotta be rough.

Even a valiant effort by Reid Rosenthal couldn't stave off Ed Swiderski.

Finally, it's Ed's turn to walk across the pool and into Jillian's arms. He professes his love to Jillian once again, gets down to one knee and asks her to marry him.

She accepts! They embrace! Tears flow. He gives her a piggyback ride. Cue obligatory cheesy montage of Ed-Jillian highlights from weeks past as the credits roll!

Tonight, America finds out if The Bachelorette, Jillian Harris, chooses Ed Swiderski or Kiptyn Locke (or Reid Rosenthal) on the reality show's season finale.

In anticipation of this landmark event, Jillian answered questions from People. No big Bachelorette spoilers here, but it's interesting to hear her thoughts.

In particular, the ambiguity of some responses continues to make us wonder if Jillian is engaged to any of the three, or if she's gone Brad Womack on us ...

Q: Why isn’t Reid Rosenthal in the final two?

A: I needed more time. I had to make a choice and no matter whom I let go, I would have been broken hearted. I had great chemistry with Reid and was falling for him, however he never indicated that I could be the one. He was too uncertain.

Q: What are the pros and cons of Kiptyn Locke?

A: Look at him. He has a nine-pack. He volunteers. He’s smart. He’s eloquent. He has a huge heart. He lives in San Diego. He’s athletic. Did I say he’s good-looking already? He likes adventure. I can see myself in his life easily.

A con might be that I was always worried that he’d be too passive in the relationship. I also had to push him more to get him to tell me how he was feeling.

Kiptyn was slower to say he was crazy about me. I don’t need anybody to say, “I will propose to you,” or “I will marry you.” That can come later down the road. But I need them to say, “I don’t want to lose you. I need you in my life.”

Q: And Ed Swiderski?

A: There was a lot of passion and emotional chemistry at the start. We've already been through ups and downs and survived. As you saw in his drunk bloopers, he’s really funny. I love kissing him. I love that he’s passionate about his career.

But there are a lot of concerns.

He made a rash decision to quit the show for his job. He says it was a mistake but what if coming back was a rash decision too? After the fantasy date, I questioned if he was attracted to me physically or if it was just nerves.

After he came back, it was more stressful and serious and we weren’t having the same amount of fun anymore ... I want someone to be my best friend. I see the potential in both guys. I can see them in my life but in different ways.

Q: Did you find a happy ending?

A: I can’t say whether I found love or not, but I’m in such a good place now. My friends and family comment that I’m on fire - that I have a new glow.

Q: Any regrets about being The Bachelorette?

A: No. I got a happy ending I wouldn’t have without signing up. I made mistakes along the way. There were people I should have let go sooner or kept longer. I shouldn’t have kissed so many guys. Actually, I don’t regret the kissing. It was fun.

With the season finale of The Bachelorette on tap for Monday, and the "After the Final Rose" special following one night later, two (maybe three) men remain.

Bachelorette spoilers, rumors and gossip abound as Jillian Harris prepares to make a decision and bring to an end what has been a tumultuous fifth season.

Let's review some of the theories posited (some from more reliable sources than others) as to what will happen in The Bachelorette season finale Monday:

  • Jillian will pick Ed Swiderski. This is what many fans of the show, including past star DeAnna Pappas, see happening. Jillian Harris has had eyes for Ed since day one, and he looks like the odds-on favorite to win, right?
  • Maybe, but there is the persistent rumor that Ed has a girlfriend. After all the talk about Wes Hayden (and Laurel Kagay) this season, Ed having a significant other that somehow derails his chances would be a big twist.
  • Also a big twist - and one guaranteed to shake things up in some form? The return of Reid Rosenthal. All indications are that the vanquished third-place finisher will come back and ask for another shot. Will he get it?
Ed Swiderski and Kiptyn Locke

Will Jillian Harris pick Ed Swiderski or Kiptyn Locke? Or neither?

  • We have not heard any rumblings about Kiptyn Locke being chosen on the finale. Contrarily, we have heard plenty of rumors that he is being considered - or has even signed a deal - to be the next star of The Bachelor.
  • Assuming Reid makes his play for Jillian, that could lead to this scenario: Jillian chooses Ed, but breaks up with him (possibly due to the girlfriend situation) for Reid on the "After the Final Rose" special, a la Jason Mesnick.
  • Many fans think Reid Rosenthal will ultimately be Jillian Harris' choice, and it's just a matter of how the show times the big reveal. However, there are some who believe Jillian is not engaged and ends up with no one.

Now that would be a shocking ending - and a disappointing one for fans who have fallen in love with her and each of the Canadian cutie's remaining suitors.

Next Monday on the season finale of The Bachelorette, Jillian Harris finally makes her choice. Ed Swiderski and Kiptyn Locke are the last men standing.

Except for the ousted Reid Rosenthal, who - Bachelorette spoiler alert - looks poised to return and possibly propose to Jillian in a surprising twist.

The promo that ran after this week's "The Men Tell All" show - at which Reid was MIA - shows him returning to Hawaii for another shot at Jillian.

What does Jillian say about who returns and what happens?

"I can't really tell you too much," Jillian tells ET. "I watched the tease for the finale, and I can tell you it is an exciting episode and a crazy day. I can't tell you who comes back, but it is all very traumatic, unfortunately."

Traumatic? That doesn't sound good. Nor do some of her other comments. Maybe she is just a good bluffer, but Jillian Harris makes no reference to being engaged, or even being in a relationship with a great guy or anything like that.

Again, she could be playing it cool. But it's only about "her decision."

Jillian's Decision

"All I can say is that after all the drama is over, and I make ONE LAST FINAL decision, I hope you all are as thrilled with the outcome as I am," she wrote in her last blog. "You have no idea how excited I am to let this secret out!!!"

Then: "I struggled with a lot of decisions. Again, I admit that I’m human. But I stand by my statement that I am very happy. I have had two months living with my decisions and am still very happy with them. That is what matters right?"

Get the feeling she is pulling a Brad Womack here?

Jillian even admits having second thoughts about getting engaged, and she talks to her dad about it. He told her that accepting a proposal from the man of her choice did not mean that she has to walk down the aisle immediately.

He pointed out to Jillian, "Getting a proposal in this scenario signifies for me that you are ready. Let's have a proposal, get engaged and start a life together and a year from now see where things are at and then get married."

"My dad was very right," Jillian adds.

That said, Jillian does rate the final three men:

"I would definitely have to say for Reid, it would be his sense of humor and just his quirkiness. Kiptyn is just so genuine and has such a huge heart."

"With Ed, I would have to say it is his balance. He has a good balance in life between personal, business and family. He is a well-rounded individual."

What do you think? Is this all a smoke screen, or does Jillian Harris not pick anyone at all? Who, if anyone, will win The Bachelorette?

Reid is coming back next week on The Bachelorette.

If you weren't convinced already, the final moments of last night's utter waste of time "Men Tell All" special were a tease for the season finale.

Amid shots of Ed Swiderski and Kiptyn Locke meeting her family and Jillian Harris preparing to make her choice, the narrator, Chris Harrison, promised that “an unexpected confession would make her question everything.”

A montage of dramatic music and cuts followed, the last of which was a shot of a ring in a man’s hand ... a hand belonging to ... Reid Rosenthal!

Chris had said that Reid wasn’t able to make it to the "Men Tell All" taping due to to a prior engagement. As in an engagement to Jillian Harris?!

Just Jillian

You never know, with The Bachelorette editing that was already used to manipulate and sabotage Wes Hayden, what this actually means, but If he weren't still a factor, Reid Rosenthal sure as hell wouldn't be MIA at the "Men Tell All."

We know now that Reid Rosenthal comes back, and considering he’s holding a ring, and what a shocking twist it would provide, you've gotta think he proposes to Jillian.

The question is, how does this impact the ending?

Does she choose Ed Swiderski, break it off with him over the girlfriend he allegedly has in Chicago, only to have Reid swoop in and sweep her off her feet? Does Reid profess his love to her, only to have it be too late? Does she reject all three?

Jillian's blog on People today once again does not say she is in love, nor allude to the fact there is even a man in her life. This has some fans thinking she could pull a Brad Womack and choose no one, but she could be just playing it cool.

Many fans watching The Bachelorette this season believe that Texas bad boy singer Wes Hayden pulled the wool over unsuspecting Jillian Harris' eyes.

For his part, Wes says he does not have a girlfriend (he and Laurel Kagay are just friends) and that the show edited footage to make him look bad.

So does Wes have a girlfriend or not?

"We'll never really know," Jillian told E! News. "We know he came there for his career - but we'll never really know if he's got a girlfriend or not."

"I don't think the world will ever see the Wes I saw," she added.

That's quite a vague non-answer. Does she even want the answer?

"No, I've never been that kind of girl, though," she said. "I'm like, live and let live. Whatever everybody thinks he did wrong, I can see that, and I'm disappointed in things he said, but I'm forgiving. I want him to be happy."

Bachelorette Jillian Harris

Jillian Harris just wants Wes Hayden to be happy. She also says Jake Pavelka thought he did the right thing, but it was her responsibility in the end.

Viewers went berzerk when Jillian chose to believe Wes Hayden over nice guy Jake Pavelka, who was brave enough to return to the show after being kicked off at the urging of the producers break the bad news to her.

"I felt bad for Jake. I felt like he thought he had to tell me this and that this was his responsibility, but it's not his responsibility," Jillian Harris said. "I am a good judge of character, so I would have figured it out."

Girlfriend or not, Wes has been eliminated, leaving Jillian to choose between her final two, Kiptyn Locke and Ed Swiderski - and a possibly returning Reid Rosenthal - on The Bachelorette finale a week from tonight.

In the meantime, The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All airs at 8 p.m. EST this evening. Neither Wes nor Reid will be making an appearance tonight.

It's down to Ed Swiderski and Kiptyn Locke (with Reid Rosenthal possibly to return and join the party) in the fight for Jillian Harris' love on The Bachelorette.

Who's The Bachelorette gonna pick? There are arguments (and spoilers) that suggest all three - but Jillian's predecessor, DeAnna Pappas, thinks she knows.

"I think she's going to chose Ed," DeAnna, who chose Jesse Csincsak over Jason Mesnick last season, tells Extra. "She's only had eyes for Ed from day one."

Jillian Harris, Ed Swiderski

In addition to predicting a proposal by Ed Swiderski, DeAnna Pappas also thinks that Jillian regrets letting bad boy Texas musician Wes Hayden into her life.

"I'm sure Jillian is sitting at home [watching the show] going, 'Why did I let him get past night one?'" said DeAnna, who was interviewed for some reason.

DeAnna admits it was a big challenge to confront the dismissed suitors for the taping of "The Men Tell All" special, confessing that she was "extremely nervous" and had "really strong feelings" for the final four bachelors.

The traditional "The Men Tell All" special airs this Monday, July 20, with no Wes Hayden or Reid Rosenthal on attendance. Reid's absence has sparked The Bachelorette spoilers that the ousted suitor makes a return on the big finale.

The season finale airs Monday, July 27.

Next Monday is the traditional “The Men Tell All” episode of The Bachelorette, which precedes the show's two-hour season finale the following week.

Two guys who won't be telling anything? Wes Hayden and Reid Rosenthal.

That's right. Despite being the most talked-about, hated man in Bachelorette history, Wes will not be on "The Men Tell All." This is almost certainly because he has been shafted somewhat by ABC and has since thrown the show under the bus.

Wes is pissed at the show for making him look like an d!ck and especially for outing Laurel Kagay. His omission therefore makes sense. Reid's? Not so much.

Last week, Ed Swiderski and Kiptyn Locke received roses from Jillian Harris while poor Reid was sent home. In every other season, the person eliminated in third place takes part in the "Men Tell All" episode. Reid, however, did not.

Why? Because according to the Bachelorette spoilers we posted yesterday, and what we've heard since, Reid Rosenthal plays a role in the finale.

Reid Rosenthal Picture

With no Reid Rosenthal or Wes Hayden interviews, "The Men Tell All" special might as well be renamed "The Dudes No One Cares About Tell All and Kill Time."

Much like Ed’s departure earlier in the season, it seems they’re setting up a return for Reid, who left saying “I should’ve told her that I loved her" and then “If I could reverse things, I would.” His "Men Tell All" no-show fits this perfectly.

There's also the "unexpected confession" Jillian Harris grapples with in the finale.

What this is, no one knows for sure, but odds are very good that it involves Reid, and like last season of The Bachelor, we won't be seeing a "normal" finale.

Knowing how huge The Bachelor's "After the Final Rose" special was in March - though Jason Mesnick dumping Melissa Rycroft for Molly Malaney will be a tough one to top - we will likely get a cliffhanger leading into that show on Tuesday.

It's still unclear what will happen. Reid Rosenthal could come back and profess his love to Jillian, and maybe even propose. Ed Swiderski does propose, from what we've heard, but there is the whole Chicago girlfriend question lingering.

Some have posited that Jillian chooses Ed, but he turns her down because of the girlfriend issue. Could that surprise twist be what gives Reid is opening?

Oh, and Kiptyn Locke is also still around in case one or the other falters. What is going to happen? Share with us your Bachelorette spoilers and theories!
