Taylor Momsen and Jessica Szohr will not be back on Gossip Girl next fall.

The two actresses, both of whom have been with the buzzed-about CW hit's cast from the start, will not be returning for the fifth season, a show rep says.

Both Momsen, who has made clear her desire to focus on her rock career, and Szohr have been invited to guest star in the future, so things are amicable.

The remaining Gossip Girl gang, however, is intact, with Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Ed Westwick and Chace Crawford all planning to return.

Actress Kaylee DeFer is also joining the permanent cast as Charlie Rhodes, cousin to Serena van der Woodsen (Lively) and niece of Lily (Kelly Rutherford).

Momsen, who fronts the Pretty Reckless, began an "indefinite hiatus" from the show last fall amid headlines about her shocking interviews and fashion.

Szohr has always struggled to hit her stride on Gossip Girl, although that's more the fault of the writers than the actress. Hopefully this move is for the best.

Gossip Girl star Jessica Szohr, a native of the great state of Wisconsin, is dating Green Bay Packers signal-caller Aaron Rodgers, according to reports.

Rodgers, the quarterback of the NFL team, dined with the actress Saturday at Bistro Romano along with Packers teammate Brett Goode and a date.

Gossip Girl co-stars and real-life couple Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr are no longer together after he allegedly heard about her cheating with one of his friends.

Handsome heir Marco Minuto, the New York Post reports, is the other man. After one of his other friends blabbed, panicked Jessica then flew to London from L.A.

The goal was to beg him to take her back, but sources say Westwick is still deeply hurt by the betrayal and unmoved by her gesture. One source told the paper:

"Jessica recently celebrated her birthday in L.A. and was being openly affectionate and flirty with Marco. They ended up back at the same hotel later that night."

"Nobody knows what happened behind closed doors, but her behavior shocked a lot of their friends. Word quickly got back to Ed, who's been filming in Europe."

The source continued that "Ed immediately ended their relationship on the phone, and Jessica, who adamantly denied anything happened with Marco, was so distraught over this that she flew to London last Friday with just the clothes on her back."

"She's been begging Ed to take her back, but he is deeply hurt by the whole ordeal. He can't believe that she carried on this way with one of his friends."

Marco Minuto is in the same circle of friends as both of the Gossip Girl stars. Sounds like kind of a douche if he'd hook up with his good friend's girlfriend.

A rep for Jessica Szohr said that "She's been celebrating her birthday with Ed in London" and denied she'd cheated, saying, "The story has no merit."

Westwick's and Minuto's reps had no comment.

Looks like a rough patch for Gossip Girl co-stars Jessica Szohr and Ed Westwick.

They're still together, but things have seemed very tense between them the past few weeks, explains an insider, who says it's even spilled over onto the set.

Jessica’s been unable to hide her emotions on set, reports In Touch, citing a crew member who recently witnessed her in tears while in her dressing room.

Making matters worse, Ed doesn’t seem concerned with his girlfriend’s feelings.

On January 29, the British actor and a male friend were seen entertaining two ladies at the Melrose Bar & Grill in LA - and Jessica was nowhere in sight.

“It looked like he was on a double date,” says an onlooker, and according to an eyewitness, Ed and a friend took off with two girls after dinner in LA.

Gossip Girl star Jessica Szohr appears on the cover of February's Teen Vogue.

The actress is often the target of scorn from Gossip Girl fans. Her character, Vanessa, is the show's least popular, and in real life, she dates Ed Westwick.

Those are two ways to get teenage girls on your bad side in a hurry, but she brushes it off. Although she does admit dating Ed can be awkward at times.

"It can be a little awkward when all of a sudden [you have feelings for] a friend; someone you'd call to talk about a different boyfriend," Jessica says.

"But there wasn't a lot of thinking and talking. It kind of just happened. We had fun together, and we were like, 'All right, let's see where this goes.'"

Ed Westwick is a "really rad guy," the 24-year-old Gossip Girl star adds. "He's awesome, smart and talented and adorable, and we make each other laugh."

They don't have Valentine's Day plans yet - last year they went to Jamaica with Leighton Meester and Sebastian Stan - but they'll have fun regardless.

"We go to dinners, have nights by ourselves and fun romantic times in general," she says. "And a lot of times I like just cuddling up on the couch."

Aww. The great Chuck Bass is a softie and a cuddler, who knew?
