Justin Timberlake is engaged to Jessica Biel after popping the question at a luxury resort in Wyoming on Monday, according to secret sources ... allegedly.

The pair are staying at five star skiing resort in Jackson called the Amangani, and - if local intel is to be believed - that's where he got down on one knee.

Supposedly. Here's where the Timberlake-Biel engagement rumor originated:

An art gallery owner in the Jackson apparently heard the news (Justin and the New Year's Eve star are literally the talk of the town) and Tweeted: "Word on the street is that Justin Timberlake proposed to Jessica Biel at the Amangani last night."

Not exactly hard proof, but the usual denials haven't poured in, either.

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel were together for years before hitting a rough patch at the beginning of 2011. After a few months apart, they reconciled.

Recently, the pair then were spotted spending time together in New York a few times in August, and by September things seemed to be fully back together.

Maybe the break was exactly what they needed. If the engagement is real, it's great news and we can't wait to get the official confirmation from them.

If it's just a rumor ... a celebrity gossip site can dream still.

When Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel got back together in July after a five-month split, friends assumed that this time, it was for good, and they'd soon marry.

Mmmyeah not so much. The couple have been dating on and off for nearly five years now, but sources report marriage is on the back burner ... for one of them.

A source tells Us Weekly it'll be Biel who decides if and when they tie the knot. Plain and simple. No input from JT necessary on this one. Totally Biel's call.

"Justin thinks marriage would hurt his career, but if Jessica threatened to leave, he'd do it," the source says of the In Time actor, who has been linked to various other celebs in recent months, namely hot co-stars Mila Kunis and Olivia Wilde.

The pal adds that New Year's Eve actress Biel now "has all the power."

What that means or what she intends to do with it is anyone's guess. All she has to do is contact Angelina Jolie for ideas, though. She totes wears the pants, not Brad.

Justin Timberlake has been linked to co-stars Mila Kunis, Amanda Seyfried and Olivia Wilde since he split with longtime love Jessica Biel earlier this year.

While he posed with Seyfried on the red carpet and sat side-by-side with Wilde during a Thursday screening of In Time, the after-party was a different story.

There, at a private home in Beverly Hills, he cozied up to ... Jessica Biel.

"Jess didn't show up until the after-party," the witness tells Us Weekly of the actress. "They still look really in love, though... they're such a cute couple."

Timberlake and Biel reunited over the summer, quietly, after officially announcing their breakup after four often-tumultuous years together in March.

"They have been talking the whole time and decided to give it another shot," a pal close to the pair said. "Jessica really wanted to get back together."

"Justin realized single life is not what it's cracked up to be."

They're both pretty good catches, no question about that.

An insider tells E! News that Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel are "definitely back on," following a summer spent mostly apart.

Biel and Timberlake were spotted at a wedding in Colorado over the weekend, which a source says was the culmination of months spent by Justin trying to win the actress back, adding simply: "He missed her...He went after her."

Since his March split from Biel, JT has been linked to hotties such as Olivia Wilde and Mila Kunis. One report even claimed he cheated on Jessica with Olivia Munn.

But whatever Timberlake said to get Biel back has finally worked. We wish we knew the guy's secret, so... eh, who are we kidding? Have you looked at and/or listened to Justin Timberlake?!?

One week ago, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel "mutually decided to part ways."

The harsh truth, or at least what Us Weekly wants you to believe? Quite different.

Timberlake was "miserable," and "aggressively trying to end things" the tabloid claims, as he "hasn't been happy with Jessica for close to two years."

Even worse, this source says, is how he decided to finally cut her loose ...

After his birthday earlier this year, "He just said he didn't want to marry her and it didn't feel right," and to Jessica Biel, that "just stung in the heart."

Really? Is that so bad? Isn't that actually just honest? The Us story gets even shadier when it says JT "didn't come clean about his rampant affairs."

He "didn't admit" the cheating with Olivia Munn, among others, "even though we all knew it," the insider says. Uhh, does anyone really believe this?

We don't know Justin personally, and sure, it's possible he cheated on Jessica. But there's never been any remotely credible report of such behavior.

Just saying, flirting with Mila Kunis is a far cry from being a cheating cad.

One of the most private, talented and beautiful celebrity couples in the world, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, are officially over. Done. Kaput.

No, for real this time. Their reps have even confirmed it.

While the stars insist, via their reps, that the breakup was amicable, an E! source says Justin did the breaking up and Jessica Biel is "devastated."

A friend of Biel's denies this report, adamantly too.

"Jessica is not devastated," said a friend. "That's just crap. She's a very independent, proud woman with her own career, she's fine." Good to hear.

In any case, the two have been battling breakup reports - and rumors of him cheating with Olivia Munn, among others - for quite a long time now.

More likely, they simply grew apart. These things do happen with love, even if there's no huge scandal or third party. We wish them both the best.

Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake are back on the market. The couple broke up for good recently, according to sources close to the former couple.

The couple's reps released a joint statement confirming the split.

Of what is being called a mutual decision, "The two remain friends and continue to hold the highest level of love and respect for each other."

The two had been dating since 2007.

A source close to the pair adds that "there are no hard feelings," and that "it was completely mutual and they both decided it was time to move on."

It's unclear what finally pushed The Social Network and A-Team stars to the brink, but there had been rumors of trouble in paradise for some time.

Don't expect either side to elaborate much. The very private couple always kept their personal lives and whatever drama there was to themselves.

We wish them both the best, and don't expect either will be single long. Just a hunch. There are worse looking, less cool, poorer people out there.
