Michael Jackson's older brother Jermaine has a new, brighter outlook on life.

Thr 58-year-old Jermaine Jackson is now Jermaine Jacksun, with a "u."

Really. A Los Angeles judge approved the official change on Friday.

The Jermaine Jackson name change, which he filed the paperwork for late last year, was sought solely for "artistic reasons," according to the vocalist.

He insists it has nothing to do with the massive rift in his family over the care of MJ's children last summer, which he later withdrew from to a degree.

His attorney, Bret D. Lewis says the newly renamed Jermaine Jacksun is in Europe performing with his brothers, but hears it's "a sunny day in California."

Well played, Mr. Jacksun.

No one in Michael Jackson's family will be prosecuted over the infamous fight that went down in Jily at Katherine Jackson's home, according to reports.

MJ's kids Prince and Paris Jackson got into it with the King of Pop's sister and their aunt Janet Jackson, who was reportedly trying to snach Paris' phone.

The younger Jackson then told Janet to get the eff out.

Artistic reasons. No further details are available at this time.

Jermaine Jackson, one of the main players in the family revolt against the Michael Jackson Estate, has officially defected from the rebellion ... mostly.

While he has "deep reservations" about their conduct, Jermaine is bowing out of official efforts to challenge the power of his late brother's executors.

"I rescind my signature from the letter which was sent to the Estate, and which should never have gone public," Jermaine Tweeted Wednesday.

"I still hold deep reservations about many issues involving the Estate," he adds.

"I will continue to bring scrutiny and a resolute voice wherever we have great cause for concern. But the way to address such matters is through the proper channels and via a private dialogue, not public conflict."

"In this spirit, I offer this statement by way of extending an olive-branch."

That would be long overdue, following their apparent coup attempt to wrest guardianship of Michael's kids away from their grandmother and guardian.

The Jackson family feud has simmered down somewhat, but relations are still icy as four of Michael's siblings are now banned from their mom's house.

Michael Jackson's kids Prince, Blanket and Paris Jackson - subjects of a bizarre custody feud - are currently staying at Katherine Jackson's L.A. home.

The kids' cousin and temporary guardian, T.J. Jackson, has been advised by lawyers for the Michael Jackson estate on who should not be allowed in.

As such, Jermaine, Randy, Rebbie and Janet Jackson have been 86'd.

Janet, Jermaine

T.J.'s lawyer Charles Shultz says he's instructed the security team accordingly and his actions are "in compliance" with a judge's orders, not arbitrary.

Those on the not-allowed list were either present on July 23 "or in some way participated in the events surrounding that date," Shultz stated.

It was then that Jermaine, Randy and Janet Jackson arrived at Katherine's home and allegedly tried to physically remove Prince, Paris and Blanket.

Randy, Jermaine, Janet and sister Rebbie Jackson have been accused by some of being motivated by money to separate Katherine from the kids.

Michael's will, which left his estate to his children and provided an ample allowance to their guardian (Katherine), obviously stands in their way.

Since Michael's death in 2009, Katherine Jackson had been receiving a monthly allowance of $86,000 as guardian of Prince, Paris and Blanket.

For the time being, that sum goes to T.J. Jackson.

The National Enquirer is not the only tabloid that won't let Whitney Houston rest in peace.

According to The London Sun, the late singer carried on an affair with Jermaine Jackson - while the latter was married - in the early 1980s. The newspaper, which does not cite a single source, even claims Whitney's hit single "Saving All My Love for You" was based on her secret romance with MJ's brother.

A few stolen moments is all that we share/You've got your family and they need you there. Though I've tried to resist being last on your list/But no other man's gonna do/So I'm saving all my love for you, Houston croons on that track.

The tabloid goes on to say that Michael Jackson was aware of the relationship and did not approve. It also says Jermaine was so broken up over Houston's death that he could not attend her funeral.

Late last month, Jermaine offered a few words of wisdom to Whitney's daughter, Bobbi Kristina.

Tragically, Jermaine Jackson can relate to Bobbi Kristina Brown. Both have lost loved ones under the intense glare of the public spotlight.

So, with Whitney Houston's 18-year old daughter reportedly nearing a breakdown and with her family hoping she enters rehab, what advice would Jermaine offer the teenager?

"She's got to stay strong and be with her family," the former Jackson 5 member told Us Weekly last night. "There are so many bad influences... [you have to] go back to the basics. Surround yourself with love from your family. That's the most important thing."

Who would have guessed when Jermaine Jackson took a trip to Burkina Faso in Africa that he would end up stuck there because of his failure to pay child support.

His passport expired and he can't get a new one until he does.

How does that work? In 2008, Jermaine's baby mama Alejandra Jackson (mom of Jafaar and Jermajesty), had a judge issue a support order for $3,000/month.

Jermaine has racked up $91,921 in back child support since.

Under California law, if someone owes more than $2,500 a month, the state informs the U.S. government, which often will red flag that person's passport.

Once the passport expires, it cannot be renewed until the person becomes current on their outstanding support obligations. Now here's where it gets crazy.

Katherine Jackson, the mother of the late Michael Jackson and the guardian of his three children, is about to clean house in more ways than one.

Renovations are being done and people are getting kicked out.

Prince Michael, Paris Jackson

Everyone is moving out of the Jackson compound in Encino, Calif., while the house undergoes extensive renovations. Some won't be returning.

PERSONA NON GRATA: That's Alejandra Jackson (left) with ex Jermaine.

Katherine Jackson and company are in the process of packing boxes and will leave the family home in early December for several months during remodeling.

The reason this is significant is that after the "stun gun" incident in March, when Jaafar Jackson tried to taser Blanket, Katherine wanted the teenager out.

More specifically, she wanted Alejandra Jackson and her four kids - two with Jermaine and two with Randy Jackson (yup, it's weird) - to beat it for good.

As we previously reported, Michael Jackson's mother Katherine wants four of her grandchildren and their mom to move out so she can care for MJ's kids.

Prince, Paris and Blanket are under Katherine's guardianship, but her mansion currently houses Alejandra Jackson and her four children as well, and it's chaos.

Jermaine Jackson in London

The family housing feud began when the matriarch asked Alejandra and her four kids to move out, because they're just too much to handle for Katherine, 80.

She has two kids (Jermajesty and Jaafar) by Jermaine Jackson and two others (Donte and Randy Jr.) by Randy Jackson, who had a heart attack this week.

The deal is this: Katherine and the Michael Jackson estate have offered to let Alejandra and her brood move into a nearby condo owned by Michael Jackson.

Alejandra has lawyered up, however, and while all Katherine wants is a confidentiality agreement, Alejandra wants better digs and a big financial settlement.

Another day, another dose of Jackson family drama.

Katherine needs Alejandra and her kids to move so she can care for Michael's kids, and is reportedly ready to play hardball over it - condo or the highway.

Sources close to the family say Katherine cares deeply for the four grandchildren but is not about to be held hostage by someone who has no legal claim.

Jermaine Jackson does owe Alejandra back child support, but Katherine sees that as her son's problem, not hers. Plus, Katherine is living on an allowance.

Michael left 40 percent of his estate to Katherine, but paid out in increments, with the remainder going to Paris, Prince and Blanket when she passes away.

Therefore, she doesn't have access to a lump sum for a payoff and the executors of MJ's estate aren't going to cover Jermaine and Randy's obligations.

Basically, it could get ugly for Katherine. Like, worse than Joe Jackson blaming Michael's death on her ugly. But don't underestimate this strong woman.
