Tabloids have been wondering and reporting on the basis for Jennifer Lopez's split from Marc Anthony - was he too controlling? Did he cheat on her? - but OK! Weekly has gotten to the bottom of the divorce:

It's all part of a plan to reunite a couple that broke up four days before a wedding, that featured a $1.2 million engagement ring and a 16-month romance: BENNIFER!

“They’re talking,” an insider says in the latest issue of this magazine, while a Lopez colleague says Ben Affleck and J. Lo “have spoken more than once.” Juicy!

If Jennifer's mother, Guadalupe, has anything say about it (note: she doesn't), the two will totally get back together. Mrs. Lopez supposedly called Affleck a few days before her daughter and Anthony separated, with a family friend saying: “She was devastated when the [Bennifer] engagement was called off."

We're very sorry, Jennifer Garner. But you might wanna hire a divorce attorney. This reunion seems inevitable.

Let's leave Jennifer Lopez's messy personal life aside for a moment and focus on her professional universe: Just how close is the singer to returning in 2012 as a judge on American Idol?

VERY, according to Cécile Frot-Coutaz, the CEO of FremantleMedia North America, which produces the Fox competition.

“We’re in good shape," she told The Wall Street Journal. "No worries. No dark clouds on the horizon.”

An announcement may be made any day this week, which would seemingly be welcome by most Idol viewers.

Despite losing Simon Cowell and despite upheaval at the table due to the departures of Kara DioGuardi and Ellen DeGeneres, season 10 of American Idol garnered huge ratings with J. Lo and Steven Tyler on board.

Jennifer Lopez turned 42 Sunday, and reportedly rang in the big day the best way she could - partying carefree and solo in Miami Saturday night!

Given that she just announced her divorce, and given all the rumors of Marc Anthony cheating on her, it's nice that she was able to just let loose.

The American Idol judge has starred in more than two dozen films and released seven successful albums. Not a bad resume for the 42-year-old.

If Jennifer Lopez is smarting from Marc Anthony possibly cheating on her, the actress put on one of her best performances this weekend in Miami: sources say she partied the weekend away, care-free!

On Saturday night, J. Lo celebrated turning 42 the following day by dining with 16 loved ones - including her mother, sister, manager and stylist – at the restaurant Scarpetta inside the Fontainebleau hotel.

"Jennifer looked radiant in a purple and silver evening dress," a witness told People. "And when they brought out her birthday cake after the meal, she began to sing. She was very happy. The whole group had a blast, staying for hours. They closed down the restaurant."

The surprising Jennifer Lopez-Marc Anthony split continues to generate rumors regarding why the seemingly-happy couple is divorcing after seven years.

Us' cover story suggests infidelity was a concern - if not an overt reason - for the twosome, parents to 3-year-old twins Emme and Max, parting ways.

At issue specifically? Anthony's fling with a flight attendant.

A source says that Anthony hooked up with a flight attendant he met aboard a private plane in 2009, and that for J. Lo, that was almost it right there.

"Marc and Jennifer almost split up over it," the source says. "Jennifer was going to leave him then, but Marc begged her to stay. They went to marriage counseling and she gave it another shot. He was someone she truly loved."

Although Anthony and the American Idol judge weathered that storm of infidelity, his jealousy over Lopez's sex symbol status and successful career continued to drive a wedge between them - one they ultimately couldn't bridge.

Marc's controlling behavior over his wife's wardrobe and business endeavors - and his own unfounded paranoia - ultimately did them in. Very sad.

It's the topic of the week in the supermarket tabloid world: Why did Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony file for divorce?

Rumors abound, many of them blaming Anthony for the split and citing jealousy/control issues. Now, People Magazine takes it a step further: in this week's issue, the publication says J. Lo worried about infidelity on at least three occasions.

An Anthony insiders refutes this claim, though, says the two just "started to see things differently" and: "Though they love, admire and respect each other very much, they just needed to be apart."

We may never know for certain why Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony split. But it sure is fun to speculate, isn't it?!?

Yesterday, a report surfaced that simply stated the couple had been "arguing" for months and called it quits for the sake of their young children.

Now, another source is either changing that story, or expanding on it: an insider tells Us Weekly the singer objected to the glorification of his wife's body, specifically citing a 2010 photoshoot in which Anthony objected to pics that were "too sexy and unbecoming for a 40-year-old mother of two."

The issue represented a constant battle for Marc and J. Lo throughout their seven-year marriage, according to this mole:

"He would make her feel terrible about herself if she wanted to wear something sexy. He likes her to dress in a demure, 'wife' style. He hated the fact that she was a sex symbol."

Describing Anthony as "dominating," another source says "he wants to control everything Jennifer does." And, come on, we all know Jenny from the Block wouldn't stand for that for very long.

It takes a lot to surprise Hollywood and those, such as THG, who cover it for a living. But our staff is still rubbing our collective jaw after it slammed to the ground in response to the news that Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony were filing for divorce.

What went wrong for the couple that appeared to happy together on the American Idol finale? Did another man enter the picture?

No, says a source. The split was simply due to "months of nonstop arguing."

As a result of this fighting, "Marc and Jennifer decided it's best to go their separate ways for the sake of their two kids," the insider tells People.

William Levy, a.k.a. the guy who starred in J. Lo's video for "I'm Into You," a.k.a. The Cuban Brad Pitt, denies that he is in any way involved with her.

The surprising Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony breakup, announced in a joint statement Friday, immediately spawned rumors of a Lopez-Levy affair.

Not the case, says the music video beefcake.

Levy also recently separated from his wife after shooting the above video with Lopez, further sparking rumors of her romance with the telenovela star.

But Levy's rep claims William and Jennifer Lopez are not together, stating "The only relationship there was or is, is a professional relationship."

He repeats, "That’s all there’s ever been.”

J. Lo and Marc Anthony, who are the parents of three-year-old twins, have not gone into  detail on why they're ending their seven-year marriage.

In surprising news, it's over for Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, who announced today that they will be divorcing after seven years of marriage.

"We have decided to end our marriage," they said in a statement.

"This has been a very difficult decision. We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters. It is a painful time for all involved," the couple continues, "and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time."

No reason was cited for Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony's split.

Lopez, 41, and Anthony, 42, wed in June 2004 in a casual and secret ceremony at Lopez's Beverly Hills home, then renewed their vows last year.

They have two children, 3-year-old twins Max and Emme.

It will be Marc's second divorce and J. Lo's third. She was previously married to Ojani Noa, who she is still skirmishing with legally, and Cris Judd.
