Is there bad blood between Jennette McCurdy and Ariana Grande? Following the cancelation of Sam & Cat by Nickelodeon, rumors of a rift persist.

It's unclear if the leak of racy Jennette McCurdy photos, and/or the actress' reported salary dispute with the network, led to the popular show's ouster.

However, some feel that Jennette is throwing shade at her co-star, whose music career has skyrocketed this summer, since the axe fell on Sam & Cat.

This speculation was fueled by Jennette’s new web series What’s Next For Sarah? In it, McCurdy’s character is in therapy after her show was canceled.

Also, her recent relationship ended, as did McCurdy's romance with Andre Drummond. Think that sounds like art imitating life? You are far from aline.

Sarah's therapist recommends lots of therapy for the star, even if her case is “pretty hopeless” ... Sarah is also encouraged to try juicing, which she does.

Nearly two weeks after Nickelodeon canceled Sam & Cat, star Jennette McCurdy has gone off on an epic rant via Reddit on a number of topics.

"I am not a role model," begins the missive from the 22-year-old actress. "I don't claim to be, I don't try to be, and I don't want to be."

"There was a time when I tried to live up to the aggrandizing title, that pedestal of a thing... I thought I was supposed to, so I gave it my best shot."

McCurdy, of course, has been at the center of a number of recent scandals.

She trashed ex-boyfriend Andre Drummond as ugly not long after the pair split and the leaked Jenette McCurdy lingerie photos in March were ... something else.

McCurdy, who allegedly feuded with her co-star Ariana Grande, said she can "admit" now that she is far less “amiable” and “bubbly” than she used to be.

In the wake of Nickelodeon canceling Sam & Cat after its first and only season, star Ariana Grande has spoken out in a heartfelt note to her fans.

Grande, 21, and Jennette McCurdy, 22, came together to star on what was a consensus hit for the network, but was surprisingly derailed by scandals.

Between the racy Jennette McCurdy photos that leaked, salary disputes and rumors of discord between the two leads, gossip took over the internet.

Perhaps it was just too much for Nickelodeon to take.

Ariana didn't go there in her message to the show's supporters, which isn't surprising. Instead, she focused on the positive and the heartfelt:

“So the news is out about Sam & Cat. I felt it wasn’t my place to make any sort of announcement so I kept quiet until now."

Nickelodeon has given the unexpected axe to Jennette McCurdy and Ariana Grande.

The network announced yesterday that Sam & Cat will airs it "series finale" in a few weeks, canceling the popular sitcom after just one season.

It offered little in the way of explanation for the move, simply saying in a statement that "we are very proud of the show and its very talented cast and we wish them all the best."

File this one under unexpectedly harsh criticism from a Nickelodeon star:

Earlier this month, Jennette McCurdy dissed Ariana Grande in an effort to get out from under her ex-co-star's shadow. Now she's turned her (negative) attention to an anonymous (and apparently fugly) ex-boyfriend:

Andre Drummond, Jennette McCurdy

"Sometimes I look at old photographs of my ex and I want to cry because he was so ugly," McCurdy tweeted.

McCurdy dated Andre Drummond of the Detroit Pistons last year, and given the contentious nature of their breakup, many have wondered if McCurdy's comments are directed at him.

It wouldn't be the first time that McCurdy has publicly dissed Drummond, and some have even suggested that Drummond leaked the McCurdy lingerie selfies that hit the Internet back in March.

Jennette McCurdy raised eyebrows on Twitter by calling out an unnamed former "friend" for being a drama queen and a "leech" for gossip in a lengthy rant.

Could she be talking about her Sam & Cat co-star Ariana Grande, as many suspect? Some notable excerpts from Jennette McCurdy's Twitlonger post:

Jennette McCurdy-Ariana Grande
  • "I enjoyed her company because she was fun and energetic, but I had reservations about how much I could trust her ... she seemed to be a leech for drama and gossip."
  • "I felt like every time [we hung out] I was in quicksand. Being around her took my identity because everything in her world became just that... Her World."
  • "Being friends with you takes the 'better' out of me. In fact, I might possibly be the worst version of myself when I'm around you."
  • "I'm standing up for myself. I'm not playing your games, letting you manipulate me, and succumbing to your twisted perception of reality."
  • "You won't be hearing from me anymore because sweetheart, being a friend to you was doing so much more for you than it was doing for me."
  • "You sucked the life right out of me, and I want my life back."

Harsh stuff, and given the frequent reports of a Jennette McCurdy-Ariana Grande feud, all signs pointed to the latter as the target of this rant.

A few months removed from her racy photo scandal, Jennette McCurdy may be gone from the headlines, but she's as active as ever on social media.

To the delight of her young fans, no doubt.

The Sam & Cat star took to Instagram, channeling Kim Kardashian in a glamorous new selfie after dying her hair brown and putting on a floor-length gown:

Yowza. That will get your attention fast.

We're not sure if Kim was really on her mind, but we can say with certainty that the Jennette McCurdy photo scandal has not dissuaded her from sharing.

The actress, who is also reportedly feuding with Nickelodeon and/or Sam & Cat co-star Ariana Grande, loves to flaunt her fabulous fashions (and body).

McCurdy, 21, has been keeping herself busy - she was just named 2014 brand ambassador for Tamagotchi - on and off the Internet since the scandal(s) broke.

Check out more of the star's sexy selfies, which may or may not have been leaked by her ex-boyfriend Andre Drummond (who denies it), after the jump ...

Rumors surfaced today that the popular Nickelodeon series Sam and Cat has been secretly canceled by the network. Speculation was spurred by a Hollywood Reporter article that refers to the show in the past tense.

News outlets have paid an unusual amount of attention to the cancelation of a sitcom targeted at pre-teens, as these rumors come on the heels of the Ariana Grande nude photo scandal, and many are wondering if the actress' indiscretion is to blame.

Of course, Grande wasn't the only Sam and Cat star to be embroiled in controversy. Co-star Jennette McCurdy's lingerie photos that leaked online in early March proved incredibly popular online and incredibly embarrassing to the network.

Though both stars are of legal age to pose in whatever type of photo they please, some industry insiders have speculated that Nick would like to avoid becoming the next Disney by cutting ties with the two young stars before they generate any more bad press.

Amid reports that Sam & Cat co-stars Ariana Grande and Jenette McCurdy are at odds over their salaries, the former issued a statement to clear the air.

The hit show has yet to be renewed for a second season, allegedly due to the fact that McCurdy is feuding with Nickelodeon over the star's compensation.

Rumors also implied that Nickelodeon may cancel Sam & Cat over McCurdy's racy photo scandal, but we hear that's not true, and that it's all about money.

According to Ariana, though, that part isn't true either.

Grande, 20, issued a lengthy statement via Twitter Thursday, starting off, "I hate addressing rumors and I hate gossip but this is really bothering me."

"Jennette and I agreed upfront that we would be treated equally on this show in all regards (as we should be, considering we each work just as hard as the other)."

Jennette McCurdy's alleged beef with Nickelodeon is very real, but it has nothing to do with her racy photo scandal, according to sources close to both sides.

Turns out it's the cash money, and how the actress makes less than her Sam & Cat co-star Ariana Grande, that has left the show's future in limbo.

McCurdy was a no-show at the 2014 Kids' Choice Awards over the weekend, taking to Twitter to essentially publicize her feud with Nickelodeon.

"I was put in an uncomfortable, compromising, unfair situation (many of you have guessed what it is) and I had to look out for me," she wrote cryptically.

She went on, "I chose to not go because sticking up for what is right and what is fair is what my mom taught me is ALWAYS the most important thing."

Sources say the cause of unrest is rooted in her paycheck, not Jennette McCurdy photo scandal backlash from the network, as some speculated.
