Fresh off her X Factor elimination, Jennel Garcia faced the press last night and looked forward to what she hopes will be a very bright future.

"It's time for me to show the world who I am," Garcia told reporters backstage. "Coming into this competition I lost myself. But I was looking for a place to grow and someone to guide me. And I feel like [Demi Lovato] guided me."

Garcia, of course, was stuck in the bottom two last night along with Paige Thomas. She fought back tears after the bad news was announced.

Only 18 years old, Jennel Garcia flew to Hollywood without her parents for The X Factor Boot Camp.

The Massachusetts native was noticeably nervous before her second audition in front of the judges, but her worries ended up going for naught.

With a strong take on Gavin Degraw's "Sweeter," Garcia easily moved on to the round of 24. In our humble opinion, that is...

The X Factor kicked off its wildly anticipated second season last night with new judges Britney Spears and Demi Lovato providing ample entertainment and critiques. Were you impressed by their debut?
