It's official: Jenna Bush and Henry Hager got married on Saturday!

This made one of George W. Bush's twin daughters the first daughter of a sitting United States president to exchange vows in 16 years.

The down-home setting was a lakeside ceremony at President Bush's secluded 1,600-acre Prairie Chapel Ranch in Crawford, Texas.

Pastor Kirbyjon Caldwell of Houston, Texas, presided over the ceremony before a four-foot limestone cross and altar - the president's idea for the event - which will stand as a permanent landmark on the Bushes' property.

"This is a joyous occasion for our family, as we celebrate the life ahead of Jenna and her husband, Henry," the president said.

"It's also a special time for Laura, who this Mother's Day weekend will watch a young woman we raised together walk down the aisle."

A source at the ranch said that the president alone, in traditional style, was escorting the bride to the altar. A White House spokeswoman said she did not know if Jenna Bush planned to take the name of Henry Hager.

As you try to decide which celebrity couple will get married first, here are a few details on a famous wedding we know is taking place next month.

Jenna Bush and Henrey Hager are getting married on May 10. But the daughter of G-Dubs won't be getting hitched at the White House.

"I was raised in Texas and it just felt right," Bush said of holding the festivities in that state rather than the White House, according to The Washington Post. "It means a lot to Henry and me to be outdoors. We wanted something organic and low key."

As for the dress (we're really sorry here, guys, go check out Megan Fox nude):

Oscar de la Renta, a favorite of presidential wives for several administrations, will be designing Jenna's gown. This may explain why the always-hilarious President Bush joked last month:

"I had to face some very difficult spending decisions and I've had to conduct sensitive diplomacy. That's called planning for a wedding."

This guy cracks us up. Remember those hysterical jokes about Weapons of Mass Destruction he made back in the day?

Jenna Bush's non-fiction 2007 book, Ana's Story: A Journey of Hope - the tale of a 17-year-old single mother in Panama who is living with HIV - is getting a new epilogue, and thanksfully, it's a very positive one.

"I took Ana's baby to get her HIV test," the first daughter, 26, informed a convention of young Jewish activists Tuesday at the Washington Hilton.

"She's negative," Bush revealed, as her audience burst into applause.

Jenna Bush spoke before a "Make It Matter" luncheon hosted by the United Jewish Communities - whose site described Jenna as an "international children's rights advocate and daughter of Laura and President George W. Bush.

Ana's Story: A Journey of Hope was apparently on the New York Times bestseller list, too, so you know whoever ghosted it did a heck of a job.

"I ignorantly thought when I met Ana that she would be scared or have trust issues," one of President Bush's twin daughters said, but that assumption proved wrong.

"All this anger had evaporated. She was living such a positive life," said Bush, who will wed Henry Hager in May. "It's a lesson to all of us that there are people carrying heavy burdens but who live with such optimism."

NOTE: We now provide you with a momentary break from Ashley Alexandra Dupre news to bring you a lighter, less controversial political story.

Love him or hate him, there's no denying that President George W. Bush has faced tough economic and diplomatic issues during two terms in office.

Daughter Jenna Bush's upcoming wedding has presented its own challenges.

"I had to face some difficult spending decisions and I've had to conduct sensitive diplomacy. That's called planning for a wedding," George W. Bush said, eliciting laughs from the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

President Bush, who will be replaced by Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton or John McCain on January 20, has bigger things to stress out about - wedding planning.

Proving that even being Commander-in-Chief can't get you out of shelling out too much for your daughter's wedding - or get you control over the details, the Prez quipped when asked how the planning is going:

"They're letting me spend money, that's how it's going."

Jenna Bush is set to wed Henry Hager at her parents' ranch in Crawford, Texas, on May 10. The couple's engagement was announced in August.

Bush, 26, and Hager, 29, who make a very cute couple, recently enjoyed respective bachelorette and bachelor weekends in Florida.

Jenna Bush and Henry Hager celebrated their final moments of unattached life with respective girls-only and guys-only getaways this month.

Bush, 26, the daughter of President George W. Bush, and a group of female friends headed to Florida in mid-February for a girls-only getaway.

"She had her weekend ... in Boca Raton, but at a private home," a source tells People. "It was like a spa weekend. It was very low-key."

The following weekend, Henry Hager, 29, and a group of male friends kicked off a bachelor party in Miami. It was one for the ages.

"It was a total boy's weekend," says the source.

"There were about 20 guys, most of whom came down from D.C. and New York. They went fishing all day Saturday, but they didn't catch anything!"

The group then headed to South Beach to continue the festivities. Wooo!

Jenna Bush and Henry Hager got engaged last year.

Henry Hager "was having a great time," but called it a night around 1:30 a.m., while some of his friends stayed behind.

The couple is set to marry May 10 at the President's ranch in Crawford, Tex. The Prez says he's writing the checks but is out of the loop as far as planning.

The People source says Jenna Bush and Henry Hager are considering traveling to many countries and spending four weeks in Europe on their honeymoon.

Four weeks! Sucks to be an Intern at The Hollywood Gossip and receive a measly one week off ALL YEAR. But of course, wherever they go, our interns don't have to worry about the Secret Service. So there are trade-offs.

George W. Bush may have really low approval ratings, but at least he can distract himself with the paternal rite of passage of writing fat checks - in preparing for the upcoming wedding of Jenna Bush and Henry Hager.

The president, who is currently on a trip to Africa, joked with Ann Curry of the Today show when asked how the wedding is coming along: "It's coming like I have nothing to say about it, that's how it's coming."

"Oh, really?" inquired Curry. "They're not letting you do anything?"

"They're letting me spend money," the chief executive said.

Laura Bush was more far more expansive. Hearing what her husband had said to Curry, she interjected, according to The Washington Post: "Jenna and I have been having a really good time planning the wedding."

Henry Hager and Jenna Bush will marry this spring.

Laura Bush added: "It'll be small and private, just what Jenna wants. I think it'll be lovely and simple and just perfect."

Jenna Bush, 26, and Henry Hager, 29, will officially get married May 10 at the president's ranch in Crawford, Texas, sources say.

The couple's engagement was announced in August.

In November, Laura Bush said that she "of course" had fancied the idea of a White House wedding for daughter Jenna.

"But I also know it wouldn't be very private," she said. "And of course we want to do what Jenna wants to do."

In potential First Daughter news, Chelsea Clinton is the prime age (27) to subject Bill and Hillary to a similar situation. Barack Obama, meanwhile, has a ways to go before he's writing the checks - his daughters are only six and nine.

Henry Hager and Jenna Bush will be married on May 10 at the latter's family's ranch in Crawford, Texas.

As if President Bush needs an actual reason to take a vacation.

"It's going to be a small wedding," a source said to People. "She's very excited. They make a great couple."

Henry Hager and Jenna Bush are engaged.

The couple announced its engagement in August, during which time First Lady Laura Bush said she'd love the idea of a White House wedding, but also added "of course we want to do what Jenna wants to do."

For a long time now, of course, Jenna has wanted to do Hager. He's former Commerce Department staff member who's in his final year of the MBA program at Virginia's Darden School.

"I am thrilled for Henry and Jenna, knowing how great marriage can be," President Bush profoundly said, adding that marriage can also be hard work and that the occasional surge in hugs is needed.

We'd like to wish Hager and Bush the best. May their union last at least twice as long as that of Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds.

If Jenna Bush's engagement is anything like her father's war, we can't imagine a wedding date being set any time soon.

But we'd still like to congratulate the First Daughter on her engagement to Henry Hager.

He's a Richmond native whose father, John Hager, was Virginia's first director of homeland security and a former lieutenant governor.

Sort of moves the fiance bar up pretty high for Francois-Henri Pinault and others, huh?

"President and Mrs. George W. Bush are happy to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jenna Bush, to Mr. Henry Hager, son of the Honorable and Mrs. John H. Hager of Richmond, Virginia," the White House said in a statement. "Miss Bush and Mr. Hager became engaged Wednesday, August 15, 2007."

And there you have it. They join other recently betrothed couples, such as Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller.

Now, the wedding/war jokes may begin. We'll get you started:

  • Instead of being divided into bride and groom, sides of the chapel will splinter off into warring factions.
  • There will be a Mission Accomplished banner at the reception.
  • The president's speech? "Marriage is tough... but you're doing a great job, Hager-y..."
