Britney Spears has had quite a week, thanks to the sexual harassment allegations of Fernando Flores. Today marks a joyous occasion for the star, however:

Jayden James turns four!

Man. It seems like just yesterday that JJ was born to Britney and Kevin Federline, and we erroneously reported that his name was Sutton Pierce Federline.

Say what you will about her, Britney and her son are cute together. The celebration continues Tuesday with Sean Preston's fifth birthday, too. Team Britney!

Don't expect Britney Spears' kids to follow in her footsteps.

If the pop star has her way, she tells Cosmopolitan while showing off pelvic tattoos, her midriff and some cleavage, they'll live a much more low-key life.

It's hard to blame her for wanting to protect Sean Preston, 4, and Jayden James, 3, who she was recently accused of abusing, after all she's been through.

"I'm on the cover of Cosmo's August issue. So excited! What do you all think? - Brit" Tweeted Spears, who recently brought back the crazy in a big way.

Below are some excerpts from her interview:

THE HOT ISSUE: Britney Spears certainly makes it so.

On her children seeking fame of their own: "If my sons told me they wanted to be in the entertainment business, I'd lock them in their rooms until they turned 30."

On having the dreaded sex chat with Sean Preston and Jayden James Federline: "I'm dreading the moment when my sons ask me how babies are made."

On life as a mom: "Things are pretty quiet. I've been spending a lot of time at home with my boys. They just started karate class, which is super cute!"

Sounds like the most super boring interview ever, but perhaps that's a good thing as opposed to sparking controversy. Hey, she could be Lindsay Lohan.

Britney Spears is the subject of a new investigation following a former bodyguard's alleging that she abused her two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James.

However, inside sources say that the troubled pop star and her management are not concerned over the claims made by Fernando Flores in the UK's Sun.

Flores says he told investigators that Spears beat one of her sons with a belt and fed them food they were allergic to which in turn made them violently ill.

He also claimed he had no choice but to resign from the job as a result of her “erratic” behavior (he said he was subject to Britney Spears nude come-ons).

Team BS says the child abuse allegations are ... well, BS.

“(Flores’ claims) are simply not true," says a Spears source. "There are always people around Britney, nannies and such. She is never alone with the boys."

"She would never have the opportunity to do something like that. She’s very loving of the kids. Neither she nor [manager] Larry Rudolph, are worried."

Another source, who previously worked with the starlet, agreed that Britney Spears is the target of a bitter former employee upset by the loss of his job.

“Britney may have been a little out of control sometimes but never would harm her babies, never in a million years would she hurt them,” said the insider.

Although the Department of Children and Family Services were regulars at Britney’s home years ago, she is now “totally clean” with the department.

Also, as of Wednesday, they were unaware of Flores’ request for investigation into the matter, despite the former bodyguard's claim that he told them.

Suspect as Britney Spears' parenting skills are, it's hard to give this credibility. Instead, let's focus on happier topics, like her new Candie's clothing line!

Maybe Britney Spears has been reading The Hollywood Gossip.

We've noted quite often that she eschews typical female supportive undergarments when seen out and about, but more importantly, that she looks miserable.

Well, she was all smiles yesterday with boyfriend Jason Trawick as they went out to Denny's. Who wouldn't be in a great mood after a Grand Slam though?

The pop icon had two other reasons to be joyous this week, too: Sean Preston and Jayden James gradated from pre-school, y'all! Kids. Growin' up so fast.

Helping celebrate their sons' latest milestone, Britney Spears and her ex-husband, the great Kevin Federline, put on a united front at the graduation event.

Britney was joined by parents Jamie and Lynne Spears, as well as her former spouse, who arrived separately at the San Fernando Valley school Thursday.

To the surprise of no one, Sean Preston, 4, and Jayden James, 3, were later treated to McDonald's Happy Meals after the ceremony, says a Spears source.

Britney "was very excited about her boys' graduation and she dressed them up for the festive occasion," the source says. All together now ... AWWWWW!

The odd couple split in late 2006 after two years of marriage.

If this is true, it's hilarious and sad at the same time.

The National Enquirer (we know, we know) says Britney Spears is fed up her father Jamie's control over her - and we're not talking about his mandatory bra policy.

Tension is rising because under the terms of the singer's conservatorship, she's not allowed to be alone with her two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, ever!

"Britney is furious that she isn’t trusted to care for her own kids without supervision," says a source. "She is getting into screaming matches with her father Jamie."

"She can never have quiet time with the boys without bodyguards, nannies or family members. She’s afraid her sons won’t feel bonded to her as they get older."

"Little things set her off – like being told what they should eat. When her parents or a nanny suggest the boys shouldn’t eat so much fast food, Britney resents it."

"She feels there’s nothing normal about being watched all the time. When it comes to making decisions about the boys, she’s being overruled by her father, Kevin, even the hired help – and Britney blames it all on her dad."

"Britney says having kids and become a mom is her biggest achievement. She loves her boys and she desperately wants to have another baby. She knows time is running out and is keen to get pregnant by the time she hits 30."

"Britney has been saying lately that, although her relationship with Jason is a bit unstable, she’d love nothing more than for him to be her next baby daddy.”

LOL. So she wants another baby more than anything, even if she can't see the ones she has, and yearns for "unstable" beau Jason Trawick to impregnate her.

Highly questionable story. Well, except the junk food bit. That's totally legit. You know she and the kids chow down on Cheetos and beer every single night.

Britney Spears caught an evening movie with her mother Lynne Spears, and her two kiddos this week. Nice to see relations between Brit and Lynne have thawed.

Showing off her newly blonde hair, Britney stepped out with her family along with two bodyguards to their local Calabasas, Calif. theater to catch a movie.

Jayden James is dressed up like Spider-Man for some reason. Is it because Britney is confused and thinks it's Halloween? That's really our best guess.

It's all good, as long as she put on a bra for once ...

Lawyers for the conservatorship running Britney Spears' life are on the move again, this time fighting to keep details about Britney and her children private.

"Critical information" must be safeguarded, attorneys Geraldine Wyle and Jeryll Cohen say, fearing personal and medical information will leak to the media.

They want the info put under legal lock and key, pronto.

"A Google search for Britney Spears yields 54,300,000 hits," the lawyers note. "Personal information of a confidential nature (such as medical information of Ms. Spears and her two children), can reap thousands if not millions of dollars."

Not to mention pics of a scruffy Jason Trawick.

That is true, without question. But what "sensitive info" specifically are they talking about? What hasn't leaked to this point that could possibly damage Britney Spears anymore? She is the most bulletproof celebrity in terms of fan support.

Just the same, the information is so sensitive the lawyers note on the open market "The possibility of enormous profits presents a substantial risk that Ms. Spears' most confidential medical and personal information will be disclosed."

So the attorneys are looking to have the sensitive info about Britney, Sean Preston and Jayden James contained in court documents sealed, and promptly.

One thing they won't be sealing because it poses no risk (only cuteness)? These Sean Preston and Jayden James pictures. Talk about little sweethearts.

The pop star, who celebrated her 28th birthday Wednesday, is posing for the cover of the January issue of Elle with the two most important men in her life.

Two short years ago, that would've been Adnan Ghalib and Sam Lutfi. Now, things are back the way they're supposed to be. Britney Spears is back on top.

Sean Preston and Jayden James, her two adorable sons (who turned 4 and 3, respectively, in September), will join her on the cover of the fashion mag ...

As usual, Britney Spears toes the line between glamorous, sweet and sexy.

In one photo, she peeks out from under the covers of a fluffy bed, as if she were an ordinary mother of two toddlers, enjoying a leisurely Saturday at home.

In another, she props herself on the kitchen as one of her kiddos plays in a mess of cupcakes and frosting. What's not to love about this cute single mom?

But there's also her sexy - and fashionable - side. The Elle spread will give us the full essence of the singer with its Britney Spears pictures, to be sure.

In her real life, things are going swimmingly for the singer, who recently wrapped the Australian leg of her Circus tour and is so in love with Jason Trawick.

After spending her 28th birthday with her favorite boys, Spears even got an extra special B-day gift: A Grammy nomination for best dance recording.

Jamie Spears was probably there too.

The singer and agent beau Trawick, who's looked a little worse for the wear lately, started the celebration a day early Tuesday at L.A.'s Mondrian hotel.

Spears also enjoyed spa services up in that piece. That night, the couple hit up the Sunset strip, visiting the Saddleback Ranch and Chateau Marmont.

The next day, they shopped at West Hollywood's Fred Segal boutique before reuniting with the Sean Preston and Jayden James at home in Calabasas.

"Britney looked so happy," says an eyewitness, perhaps dousing rumors of romantic discord. "She seemed excited to spend her morning with Jason."

Spears was also thrilled to get to be with her two children on her big day, says another source: "Britney is very happy to spend the day with Preston and Jayden. The kids know it's her birthday … [They] are very excited about Britney's cake too."

Meanwhile, her ex-husband Kevin Federline celebrated his girlfriend Victoria Prince's birthday – which happens to fall on the same day as Spears'.

We can't think of a funny joke. It's just a coincidence.

K-Fed and Victoria Prince had lunch at Mexican restaurant Casa Vega in Sherman Oaks. "She looked very pretty when she arrived," says an observer.

Federline, who has lost about 30 lbs. since joining VH1's Celebrity Fit Club, "joked how it's about time he gets some proper food," a witness said.

That's 30 out of about 300 mind you, but good for the FedEx man.

Britney Spears and Jason Trawick, her agent and boyfriend of several months, may not be engaged yet, despite the marriage rumors that persistently pop up.

But they certainly look the part of the family unit.

The couple and Britney's two sons, Sean Preston Federline and Jayden James Federline, looked happy as can be as they strolled through a park on Saturday.

It was a tender family moment ... just Britney Spears, Jason Trawick, her two sons and massive amounts of security following them around Sydney, Australia.

Still, life is good for Britney and family ...

Don't think for a second, though, that the singer's handler wasn't observing her every move. Also along for the stroll was Britney's father, Jamie Spears.
