Watch the Throne, the wildly-anticipated album from Jay-Z and Kanye West, is off to a decent start on the charts: soon after its online release Monday, it shot to number-one on iTunes. In 23 countries.

Now, the iconic duo has come out with its official video release for "Otis," one of the first tracks off the CD. It samples Otis Redding's “Try A Little Tenderness" and it's all yours to enjoy below.

While the pairing may not be as iconic as that of Miley Cyrus and Nick Jonas, a few music fans out there are still excited over the upcoming Kanye West and Jay Z album.

Titled "Watch the Throne," the collaborative effort will hit stores in March.

But the duo has released its first single from the CD online, lyrics from which include: "I swam waters with great whites/Y'all mothaf**ckas would've been chewed/I hustle with vultures late night/Y'all mothaf**kas would've been fooled."

ABC did not have a monopoly on New Year's Eve performances.

While Ke$ha and company rocked out on that network special, Nicki Minaj appeared on BET’s 106 & Party and got a little help from Drake in order to ring in 2011. At the Marquee Nightclub at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas, meanwhile, we were treated to a husband and wife duet.

Below, watch Minaj in action, along with Jay Z and Beyonce keeping things cool with a version of "Forever Young."

Beyonce Knowles is pregnant with her first child.

According to Us Weekly, at least, and while we've heard this before - and it's been wrong before - the magazine seems sure about it ... whatever that's worth.

No one was more stunned than Beyonce herself, apparently: "B was shocked. She loves kids, but she wasn't ready to be a mother just yet," says a source.

Jigga Man and B

Congratulations, we think, to Jay-Z and Beyonce!

"She really wanted to get her album done and tour again," adds the source, but she realizes, of course, that "this is a gift from God and she's so happy."

"Jay has been all about family since I met him, and he's always going to be," record executive Kevin Liles, who has known the rapper for years, says.

"I wish them the best."

So do we if it's true! We wouldn't doubt if it's not, but we can also see these two keeping it to themselves for awhile longer, even if they're expecting ...

Willow Smith is the nine-year old daughter of Will Smith. She already has a popular single and a recording contract, as she was signed this week to Jay-Z's Roc Nation.

Now, the young girl also has impossibly high expectations to meet, as Jay-Z appeared on Ryan Seacrest's radio program yesterday and actually made a comparison between Willow and Michael Jackson.

Jada and Willow

"I heard the record first before I knew that it was recorded by a nine year old and I was like, man that record's a smash," said the music mogul. "I believe in superstars. I believe in big records and in superstars and I think [Willow] has both.

"She has a child's innocence but she has a clear vision of who she is and who she wants to be. I can only imagine that's how Mike [Michael Jackson] was as a young kid, he knew exactly what he wanted."

Jay Z is already a music mogul, a wildly successful rapper and producer.

If he can lure free agent NBA star LeBron James to the New Jersey Nets, though, the team's new minority owner will become a god among sports executives as well.

James becomes fair game July 1, but Jay is already putting on a full court press, with an assist to his close friend Steve Stoute, one of LeBron's marketing gurus.

Stoute, whose firm, Translations, has hooked LeBron up to a number of big corporate sponsors, welcomed James to his birthday party, which Jay Z also attended.

Z-ROUTE: Can Jay bring LeBron to the Nets?

There, LeBron got the full Jay-Z experience: he arrived with his wife Beyoncé, Mary J. Blige was also on hand, and his sister-in-law, Solange Knowles, even DJ'd.

No word if Jay's got sway with James, who recently made news for flaming out of the playoffs amid reports that Cavs teammate Delonte West is nailing his mom.

We'll find out soon enough, though, as soon as King James is done having his ego stroked and milking publicity from his free agency as long as humanly possible.

Where will LeBron James end up?

Rapper and noted Yankee fan Jay-Z is suing Boston Red Sox star David Ortiz for opening a nightclub in his native Dominican Republic named "Forty-Forty."

Jay-Z thinks that's a sample that's too close to his line of "sports lounges" which carry the "40/40 Club" name ... even if Big Papi is spelling out the digits.

Jay-Z and business partner Juan Perez own 40/40 Clubs in New York City, Atlantic City and Las Vegas and have plans to open venues in Tokyo and Macau.

They have accused Ortiz of "trading on the fame, value and goodwill of their name through his club Forty/Forty and its website, www.fortyforty.net."

Okay, but would he sue Alex Rodriguez for the same thing? Just asking.

THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK: If you can't beat 'em, sue 'em! Wait, the Yankees won the World Series last year. Never mind. That's just adding insult to injury then.

The lawsuit also notes that "David Ortiz is fully aware of plaintiff's Manhattan 40/40 Club, since he had been a patron there on several occasions."

Jay-Z named his club "40/40" because in baseball, that refers to a 40-home run, 40-steal season, or "as exclusive as it gets." Cool name for a club.

An odd choice for Ortiz to rip off, though, as he is one of the slowest land mammals to ever roam this planet, having recorded just 10 thefts career.

Make he just likes the food (clearly his waist line would corroborate that)... or he means 40 injections in 40 days, or some better steroid reference.

When Jay-Z speaks, people listen. That's the kind of respect this artist and producer has earned.

That's why his critique of the recently-remade version of "We Are the World" is receiving so much attention, as the rapper told MTV News over the weekend:

"I know everybody is gonna take this wrong: 'We Are the World,' I love it, and I understand the point and think it's great. But I think 'We Are the World' is like [Michael Jackson's] 'Thriller' to me. I don't ever wanna see it touched."

The man makes a good point. No offense to Miley Cyrus or Justin Bieber (okay, some offense to the former), but the iconic single loses a lot of luster when such young musicians are taking the place of Jackson, Bob Dylan and other luminaries.

"I'm a fan of music. I know the plight and everything that's going on in Haiti. I applaud the efforts," Jay-Z added. "But... some things are just untouchable... I think it's time for us to make a new [song]."

Do you agree with Jay-Z? Listen to the remake NOW and then vote below: What do you think of it?

Having dominated headlines last week with her two-part Good Morning America and 20-20 interview detailing Chris Brown's brutal assault on her in detail and for the first time in her own words, Rihanna is ready to get back to the music.

To that end, she made a surprise cameo Sunday night at her mentor Jay-Z's concert at UCLA. We believe this is her first live performance since the Chris Brown assault, and while it's only one song, it doesn't look like she missed a beat.

Check out her performance with Jay-Z of "Run This Town" below ...

For more Rihanna live, follow the jump for a look at her performance of a new song, "Hard," at the very same venue. Not sure how we feel about this one ...
