There are many firsts on the road of life, milestones marking our existences. First day of school, first crush, first kiss, first time. And then there's the first car.

No one wants to be the one driving the beat-up rust bucket in the parking lot, but it's YOUR rust bucket and NO ONE ELSE can make fun of it but you!

Or it's a brand new, fully loaded BMW making you simultaneously envied and despised at school. We all know that guy/girl ... maybe you ARE that guy/girl.

Either way, it's a rite of passage, and one not skipped by our favorite celebrities. Before they had drivers, they drove themselves just like normal people.

Check out this list of 15 celebrities and their first cars, then tell us if yours was better or worse than these rides, some of which might surprise you ...

Jay Leno may not be very funny.

But no one can accuse the comedian of not being heartfelt.

On his final episode of The Tonight Show yesterday - following a musical tribute led by Billy Crystal that included Jack Black, Kim Kardashian, Oprah and many other huge names - Leno sat at his desk and said goodbye.

He thanked his audience. He talked about his good fortune to have interviews such a wide range of guests. And then he focused on his staff.

“The first year of this show, I lost my mom; the second year I lost my dad," he said through tears. "Then my brother died and after that I was pretty much out of family. The folks here became my family."

It was emotional stuff and it ended with a quote by Johnny Carson. Watch the sign-off now:

It has come down to this for Justin Bieber: He is now getting advice from Rob Ford and Miley Cyrus.

First, the embattled, crack-smoking Mayor of Toronto, Ontario urged that we should give poor little Bieber a break because he's only 19, after all.

Then, on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno yesterday, Miley was asked about her fellow artist and came up with an easy solution to Justin's problems ...

“You’ve got a lot of money," said Cyrus, who knows a thing or two about his situation.

"Pay people to make sure you don’t get in trouble and party at your house!”

The audience laughed... but Miley is totally right. Why is Bieber ever driving his own car? Hire a chauffeur and the guy can get as loaded as he wants to every night.

Then again... Bieber is now accused of attacking a limousine driver in his native Canada. So we guess this idea wouldn't solve all his legal issues.

Justin Bieber may have been arrested for DUI yesterday, but can we please take a moment to acknowledge the real victims here.

That's what Jimmy Kimmel last night, reading a few Tweets from Beliebers on air and taking note of one that didn't wish to "disrespect" the situation, but, well...

"Now even criminals in jail get to meet Justin, while we're still here," one heartbroken wrote.

To which Kimmel hilariously replied: "No one's talking about the real victims here: the people who aren't in jail meeting Justin Bieber."

Oh yes, as you might expect, Bieber's arrest, Bieber's court hearing and Bieber's mug shot were all prime material for late-night talk show hosts across the dial. Check out their quips, barbs and general mockery now:

Jay Leno is incredibly unfunny. He harms one's sense of humor on a nightly basis.

But one woman claims The Tonight Show host has had a negative effect on her sex life... and she's filed a lawsuit against the veteran comedian as a result.

Jay Leno in a Suit

In July, an American Airlines flight attendant named Louann Giambattista was accused of hiding rats in her underwear, as multiple colleagues complained that their co-worker snuck pet vermin on to various flights.

As you might expect, such a story went viral and Leno had a bit of fun at Giambattista's expense in a segment titled "Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda."

Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul sat down with Jay Leno on The Tonight Show this week, and was quickly reminded of how far he's come as an actor.

Mostly in a good way.

Jay unearthed a hilarious vintage clip of the 33-year-old playing a student in the high school production of Romeo & Juliet on Beverly Hills, 90210.

Breaking Bad Season 5, it was not - and both the clip and Paul's reaction were priceless. As Leno told the Emmy nominee, maybe he'll win Most Improved ...

Sandra Bullock appeared on The Tonight Show this week, where she dropped the f-bomb basically 'cause she can. And 'cause it makes her cooler.

The context? Her new movie The Heat and its profanity - there are 190 f-bombs in total, Bullock said, though most of them come from Melissa McCarthy.

"At the end I sort of learn how to," the 48-year-old actress said, explaining that "when you drop them you're just cooler, I'm cooler when I drop them."

Sandra adds that she doesn't talk that way in real life, at least not in front of kids, at which point Leno asked if there were any kids in the audience.

He set 'em up, and Bullock gamely knocked 'em down:
