Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney became the first couple from The Bachelor to walk down the aisle February 27. ABC aired a two-hour special about it last night.

In keeping with our tradition, THG endured the two-freaking-hour extravaganza to recap every bit of the action in our exclusive, highly scientific plus/minus index:

Updates on past stars: Trista and Ryan are going strong; Ed Swiderski and Jillian Harris are doing well; A bunch of peeps we don't remember are there too. Plus 5.

DeAnna Pappas, who Jason once proposed to, is dating Stephen Stagliano, ... the twin of Michael Stagliano from Jillian's season. This is just incestuous. Minus 3.

The stirring Chris Harrison commentary begins with the venerable host-pimp calling this "one of the most anticipated weddings of all time." Of all time! Plus 11.

The Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney nuptials took place in the driving rain. Minus 4 for missed Alanis Morissette "Ironic" musical tie-in ... okay, maybe Plus 4.

Not even a monsoon could dampen the spirits of Jason and Molly.

In all seriousness, the event was quite romantic. Jason Castro's "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" was a nice touch, and the setting made for great wedding photos. Plus 10.

Molly's dress gets an additional Plus 7 too. Look how beautiful she is.

By the end of the ceremony, they are totally soaked, but Jason and Molly don't seem to care one bit. Those Bachelor hot tub scenes prepared them so well. Plus 4.

Minus 9 for Chris' "Jason and Molly weathered the storm" eye-roller. Do they sit around thinking these up, or is the master of ceremonies that good on the fly?

Gavin DeGraw performs "Follow Through." Fitting. Wonder if Jason and Molly had heard of Gavin DeGraw prior to ABC setting this up? Either way, Plus 3. Good song!

It was a fairy tale moment ... engineered by Mike Fleiss.

The Bachelor is not about love. It is all about ratings. That being said, genuine feelings definitely came out of Jason and Molly's season, and the wedding special did a nice job of showcasing them as a couple in addition to the obligatory filler. Plus 11.

The franchise is still 2-for-19 though. 2-for-19! Minus 10.

Jason and Molly now embark on a South African safari honeymoon, which sounds like an absolute blast, provided Chris is cool crashing on the couch. Plus 7.

Odds of Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi taking part in a similar wedding special next season ... or any season? Somewhere around 500:1. Minus 12, Jake.

TOTAL: +24. Congratulations to a happy couple we wish all the best to!

The Bachelor star Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney became the first couple in the 13-season history of the show to get actually married Saturday in California.

If you want to get technical, though, no Bachelor star has wed his final rose recipient, as Jason dumped his, Melissa Rycroft, for runner-up Molly after the fact.

Somehow we don't suspect Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi (who The Bachelor spoilers suggest he picks over Tenley Molzahn) to be the first. But moving on.

Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney made if official in front of an estimated 300 guests at the majestic Terranea Resort on the coast of Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.

The nuptials, which will be televised on the two-hour March 8 ABC special The Bachelor: Jason and Molly’s Wedding, were also marked by a driving rainstorm.

Rain on your wedding day. How ironic ... or the result of an 8.8-magnitude earthquake hitting Chile earlier that day and causing a near tsunami in California.

Still, not even that could dampen the day for these two ...

Hugs All Around

SOAKED BUT PSYCHED: Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney tie the knot!

“We’re really excited for them,” said Jillian Harris former Bachelorette star, who vied for Mesnick’s heart on The Bachelor, and attended the nuptials with fiance Ed Swiderski.

“They are very ‘normal’ in one sense, but both of us have been through things in terms of the tabloids and drama after our shows were over,” adds Jillian.

Trista and Ryan Sutter (the only pair from The Bachelorette to wed thus far), DeAnna Pappas, Jesse Csinsak and Kiptyn Locke were also among the guests.

They watched Molly Malaney, bedecked in a $45,000, strapless Monique Lhuillier gown and Neil Lane jewelry walk down a 200-ft. aisle to “Over the Rainbow.”

Sung by American Idol stoner alum Jason Castro, natch.

The ceremony lasted 15 minutes - and concluded with the release of white doves into the rainy skies, as Jason Mesnick tried to shield her from the rain.

Chris Harrison served as the officiant. Kidding ... probably.

Following the romantic, momentous ceremony, the couple's guests enjoyed cocktails before a reception ... thankfully in an indoor ballroom at the resort.

Congratulations to the happy couple, who we wish nothing but the best. Click to enlarge some photos from Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney's wedding ...

Looks like Vienna Girardi and Jake Pavelka don't have a monopoly on The Bachelor drama. Molly Malaney and Jason Mesnick are dealing with their share.

Last season's Bachelor stars are getting married on TV next month. With that comes plenty of drama. And possibly DeAnna Pappas. And Melissa Rycroft.

Molly and Jason got engaged last fall, and agreed to tie the knot on TV in a two-hour wedding special airing March 8, presumably for millions of dollars.

But will it be worth it? The couple is already fighting over the guest list, according to a friend, as ABC wants to turn the wedding into a Bachelor reunion.

Producers want Melissa Rycroft - Jason’s #1 choice, who he dumped for Molly after the season - and former Bachelorette star DeAnna Pappas to be there.

Jason and Molly of The Bachelor

Molly Malaney reportedly isn’t happy about ABC's wedding meddling.

“ABC is basically controlling the guest list, and they’re inviting former [Bachelor stars] Molly and Jason don’t even know,” the insider says. “Molly is fine with that."

"However, she’s not especially thrilled about Melissa attending her wedding, because she thinks it will turn into a circus.” Which is probably what Mike Fleiss wants.

In any case, DeAnna Pappas, who negged Jason on The Bachelorette season finale, tells In Touch that she’s looking forward to the magical, staged event.

"I’ll be there with my boyfriend, Stephen,” she says, declining to give us a last name. “I'm so happy that Jason found Molly, as they really are the perfect couple.”

We agree. We're sure Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney will get through these pre-wedding jitters. With Chris Harrison officiating, how can they go wrong?

Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney, one of the most controversial (and successful) couples in the history of The Bachelor, are getting married in just over a month.

ABC will be televising it in a two-hour special.

Luisana Loreley Lopilato de la Torre and Michael Buble

The Bachelor: Jason and Molly's Wedding, will air Monday, March 8. We're fairly sure that's one week after the current season finale, which would make sense.

The big wedding special for Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney will also show the bride's dress fitting, planning for the day, bachelor/bachelorette parties, etc.

Past participants of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette will be on hand, which probably goes with the territory when Mike Fleiss gets to plan your nuptials.

The Bachelor's 0-13 marriage steak is about to come to an end! Well, technically not, as Molly Malaney didn't receive Jason Mesnick's final rose ... but close enough!

The Bachelor wedding is only the second such event in the franchise's 19 seasons. The Bachelorette star Trista Rehn married Ryan Sutter on TV in 2003.

Jason proposed to Molly Malaney in New Zealand, the site of the infamous March 2009 season finale where he initially chose Melissa Rycroft instead of her.

He soon broke up with Melissa and asked Molly for another chance on the After the Final Rose special. She said yes, and they got engaged in October.

Mesnick first became a franchise fixture as runner-up on DeAnna Pappas' edition of The Bachelorette. He then became The Bachelor's first single dad.

Last spring on The Bachelor, Jason Mesnick sent Molly Malaney home on an emotional season finale, popping the question to Melissa Rycroft instead.

But on the show's "After the Final Rose" special, he famously had a change of heart, breaking up with Melissa and asking Molly for a second chance.

She was shocked, but giddily accepted.

That sums up Molly's reaction to Jason's most recent request as well. He asked her to marry him and she said yes. Jason and Molly are engaged!

According to People, Jason got down on one knee in New Zealand last week, the same nation where The Bachelor finale was filmed last winter.

Molly Malaney will soon be the newest Mrs. Jason Mesnick!

Since the controversial Bachelor ending, which resulted in serious backlash against Mesnick (Molly Malaney did nothing wrong, but Jason's national TV dispatching of Melissa was scrutinized), the two have kept a very low profile.

They've also been doing the distance thing, with her living in Milwaukee and him in Seattle with his son, Ty, from his first marriage to ex-wife Hillary.

But we suspect they'll be moving in together, likely in Seattle, quite soon, now that Jason Mesnick has officially asked for Molly's hand in marriage.

The couple just returned on vacation to the site of Jason’s ill-fated first choice so that “Jason can do what he should have done in the last time he was here, and ask Molly to marry him,” says a source close to the lovebirds.

Justifiably or not, Jason Mesnick will always be remembered as the man who pulled the switcheroo on the "After the Final Rose" special of The Bachelor.

And while he is a few months removed from his stint on reality TV, Jason still must fend off Bachelor backlash for breaking up with Melissa Rycroft.

On the aforementioned special, he was seen dumping Melissa (though it was over between them prior to that), for another chance with Molly Malaney.

"I think the time when people have been negative is when, like, a girl's boyfriend just broke up with her and they look at me like it's all my fault ..."

"I'm sorry if you feel that way, but it's not me! It happens every day and it wasn't me, I promise. I didn't put him up to it," the single dad protests.

Access Hollywood's Maria Menounos Maria caught up with Jason and Molly in Turks & Caicos, where the couple was enjoying a weekend mini-vacation to celebrate the grand opening of Beaches Turks & Caicos' New Italian Village.

The Bachelor's Jason Mesnick ended up with Molly Malaney, while Melissa Rycroft, left, and Jillian Harris, both of whom went on to further reality TV stardom.

After spending months being hounded by cameras for The Bachelor, have the two gotten used to life in the spotlight? Or are they happy to be free of it?

"I don't think you can ever get used to the cameras being on you," Molly Malaney, who still lives in Milwaukee but is mulling a move to Seattle, admitted.

"We really stepped away from everything. That's not why we did the show. That's not why we did any of this," the father of four-year-old Ty added.

As has become customary, once The Bachelor ends, one of the jilted lovers lands their own show - as is the case with new Bachelorette star Jillian Harris.

So does Jason have any advice for Jillian, who made it to his final three last season before he selected Melissa and Molly as his final two?

Jillian Harris says her hot tub scene with Jason Mesnick made her dad's jaw drop on The Bachelor, but she's not clearing the air about what happened.

In fact, the newly-minted star of the new season of The Bachelorette calls a query about the liaison "probably the most inappropriate question ever."

"I'm normally a really open girl about these things, but I mean, it's one of those things that anybody can assume that if I had a steamy make-out session with Jason and I went in the hot tub that him and I quote-unquote did it," she said.

"We can also assume that every Bachelor and Bachelorette in the history of the show has done it with people. I think being a 30-year-old grown woman who is successful in her career and has a great background with great morals and values, people can take a look at me and who I am as a person and they're entitled to their opinion."

"I was actually waiting for that question. It's funny how it fires me up because I am doing something that's very public. But let's say I had slept with Jason. Then I don't think that's anybody's business. And let's say I hadn't. That also is nobody's business."

The hot tub hookup with Jillian was one of three close encounters Mesnick shared with the final competitors on The Bachelor in New Zealand.

He eventually said goodbye to Harris, setting up the season finale in which he chose Melissa Rycroft, only to break up with her for Molly Malaney.

Whatever happened in that hot tub - again, she's not saying - Jillian Harris harbors no ill will toward Mesnick or the aforementioned females.

Is another Bachelor breakup just around the corner?

Recent reports of lovebirds Molly Malaney and Jason Mesnick getting to know each other and basking in the afterglow of their unique Bachelor love story are contradicted by a new article in In Touch Weekly, suggesting a split is imminent.

According to a close friend cited by In Touch, Molly Malaney, 24, is no longer enamored of the single father - and is considering breaking up with him over Easter weekend, when the two plan to meet up in in his home city of Seattle.

If they don't get married, that would make the show an impressive 0-for-13. And according to someone claiming to be close to Mesnick, that's looking likely.

“The more she sees Jason, the less she likes him” a friend reveals.

No way that's true - have you seen his abs??

The supposed "friend" adds that Molly doesn’t trust Jason Mesnick after what he did to Melissa Rycroft, the 25-year-old he initially gave the final rose to on The Bachelor, then dumped for Molly on the "After the Final Rose" special.

“Let’s face it, (Molly) was his second choice,” a second source says of runner-up Malaney and Rycroft, who went on to shine on Dancing with the Stars.

“He has a history of being fickle.”

It has also been rumored that Molly, a native of Grand Rapids, Mich., who now lives in Milwaukee, isn’t prepared to relocate to Seattle to be with him.

“Jason expects her to quit her job and move,” the source says. “Molly’s not giving up her life unless she’s 100 percent sure that he’s committed.”

Right now, the relationship is shaky at best. The two talk via Skype almost every night on the computer, but the source says she hasn’t gone to Seattle to visit Jason, since March 3 - and hasn’t seen his son Ty, 4, since the show’s finale.

“It’s make-or-break time,” the friend explains.

Think they'll last? Guess all we can do is stay tuned. In the meantime, click to enlarge some photos of Jason and Molly, and of a spurned Melissa ...

Talk about a tough act to follow.

Single father Jason Mesnick's starring turn on The Bachelor was already the reality show's best-rated in years before he chose Melissa Rycroft on the finale, then dumped her for runner-up Molly Malaney on the "After the Final Rose" special.

After the dust settled, Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney resumed their normal lives and seem happy getting to know each other in their relationship, while Melissa Rycroft has become a sensation on a second ABC show, Dancing with the Stars.

The Bachelor is going to need a heck of an encore.

Jason and Melissa: The Bachelor

Seriously, how do you top that if you're ABC? Who should even star? No idea who the 14th star of The Bachelor will be when the show returns next season, but we put together a short list of folks we'd love to see follow in Jason's footsteps:

Barron Hilton. Rich and ready to get his $h!t started.

Adam Lambert. Forget handing out roses; the American Idol favorite will toss them from a stage as he serenades the ladies lucky enough to remain by his talented side.

Brody Jenner. Okay, so he's already seeing Jayde Nicole nude every night. Not a lot he can do to top that. But things happen, and if it were to go south between The Hills star and the Playmate of the Year, what better way to rebound?

Alex Rodriguez. Think of how many Bachelor records the Yankees star could shatter - manliest-looking babes ever to make the final two, most time preening before dates, trips to second base in hot tub, home runs in the fantasy suite, etc.

Chris Harrison. The Bachelor host-pimp is a great master of ceremonies, but he really needs to get in on some of the action, don't you think? Imagine this "After the Final Rose" stunner: he's been married for 15 years ... and is staying with his wife!

Which of these stars should be the next Bachelor? Vote in our poll below, and leave a comment with your own suggestion (serious or otherwise) ...
