This is quality celebrity news - and we use the term loosely.

Perhaps Hollywood gossip is more appropriate for a story like this. The writers over at MSNBC must be having a field day with this one.

Jamie Lynn and Britney Spears

While Britney Spears sits in the UCLA psych ward, Jamie Lynn Spears and their mother, Lynne Spears, are back in the news - and are no longer sticking together during the teen's unplanned pregnancy, according to the website.

The Zoey 101 star is apparently thinking about leaving Lynne's Kentwood, La., estate and hightailing it across the U.S. to her other parent's pad!

"Jamie Lynn is moving to L.A. to live with her dad," an insider said. "She wants to be settled in before the baby is born in March or April â€" and she wants to be closer to film and TV projects she'd like to start after giving birth."

But Jamie Lynn Spears' plans to become a working mom aren't the only reason Britney's little sister is seriously considering going west.

Lynne has reportedly decided that the 16-year-old's boyfriend and baby daddy, Casey Aldridge, 18, is off limits to the pregnant teen.

"Jamie Lynn loves [Casey Aldridge] and wants to marry him, but her mom is dead set against it," a source said. "Jamie Lynn knows that once she's out from under her mom's thumb in Kentwood, she and Casey can be together."

Lynne worries that once her little girl's in Los Angeles, she'll fall under negative influences â€" such as older sister Britney, perhaps?

"Jamie Lynn knows that [Britney Spears] smoked and drank during her pregnancy â€" and because Britney's boys, Sean and Jayden, turned out fine, Jamie Lynn thinks her baby will be fine too," the all-knowing source said.

We're pretty sure this is all just celebrity gossip somebody made up, but boy, it's entertaining stuff. We just can't wait until the l'il mistake cousin of Sean Preston and Jayden James is born, cashed in on and neglected.

Allison Janney may have starred in one of the greatest - if not the greatest - television shows of all time in The West Wing, but that doesn't make the award-winning actress an authority on celebrity gossip.

Remarking on a pregnant Jamie Lynn Spears, Allison Janney made a movie recommendation for the whole Spears family: her new comedy Juno.

Jamie Lynn and Britney Spears

"I think Mrs. Spears should take both her daughters to see it. I think they'd both love that movie," Janney told Us Weekly Tuesday.

In the Oscar-nominated Juno, Allison Janney plays the mother of a pregnant 16-year-old (Jamie Lynn Spears is also 16) played by Ellen Page.

Here's the funny thing about Janney's recommendation - Jamie Lynn Spears actually saw the movie with her mom, Lynne Spears, at the Regal Union Square Stadium 14 the day before she bared her career-shattering secret.

Time to read more celebrity news, Allison!

What's more, Britney Spears' pregnant little sister has even been on record saying she's a huge fan of the eclectic Juno soundtrack.

Sounds like an endorsement to us! And really, what's not to like about a sweet, yet funny movie that frequently employs the word "vadge."

In closing, we hope Casey Aldridge is a better father than Toby Ziegler. What we're saying is that West Wing character wasn't the best dad.

Remember how Casey Aldridge got Jamie Lynn Spears pregnant?

That story dominated celebrity news for a week or two, yet has been all but forgotten about amid Britney Spears' downward spiral.

But Star Magazine is still all over it, claiming Jamie Lynn plans to hand her baby over to her mother, Lynne Spears, as soon as she gives birth.

According to the celebrity gossip publication, Jamie Lynn Spears wants to "concentrate on her career." This assumes she has some sort of career.

A source supposedly close to the Spears family says:

"After several weeks of personal soul searching and talks and discussions with her mum Jamie Lynn reluctantly agreed that giving up the baby is the right thing to do. Lynne Spears says Jamie doesn't understand the lifelong consequences of having a baby. She still wants her daughter to be able to be a teenager, go to parties, hang out with friends and have her own career. So she'll take the front seat of caring for the baby and take the pressure off her daughter."

Because we all know Lynne Spears does a hell of a good job.

Jamie Lynn Spears' manager reportedly advised her to have the baby, take photos with it, sell the pics, then hand the thing over to Lynne.

The source went on to say, "Lynne is convinced that having a baby on her hip will not help Jamie Lynn's future in the business and she's expecting her daughter to pick up where she left off as soon as the baby is born."

Lynne is apparently excited about raising another baby. We're sure she is. Those paychecks from Britney may dry up if she gets committed.

Parents-to-be Jamie Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge have not split up, as certain celebrity gossip tabloids reported this week.

"It's completely false," a source close to the 16-year-old actress tells Us Weekly. "They're still together and he has not asked for a paternity test."

Guess that puts to rest rumors that it was some Nickelodeon executive who got Jamie Lynn Spears pregnant and not her longtime boyfriend. Shocking.

Jamie Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge are still hittin' it.

The new cover story of In Touch Weekly claims Spears was "dumped" and that Casey Aldridge is "convinced Jamie Lynn is lying" about the paternity.

Then again, In Touch claimed J.R. Rotem got Britney Spears pregnant, and cited text messages supposedly from the music producer as proof.

On top of her baby bump, Jamie Lynn Spears' hit Nickelodeon show, Zoey 101, recently reeived a ratings bump from all this. So that's good news at least.

Yes, American Greetings has released a Zoey 101 Valentine's Day card featuring the pregnant Jamie Lynn Spears in a muu-muu. The message reads:

Jamie Lynn â€" who was recently spotted with a GED book â€" has been the center of controversy since announcing her pregnancy late last month.

However, the news helped her Nickelodeon show net 7.3 million viewers â€" more than double the normal viewership â€" on Friday's season finale.

Expectant mom Jamie Lynn Spears attends a test preparation class with mom Lynne Spears at the Tangipahoa Parish School System Adult Education Center in Hammond, La., on Friday. Way to further that education, Jamie Lynn!

The 16-year-old knocked up Nickelodeon star was seen carrying out a GED study guide, used to study for one's high school equivalency degree. Guess with Zoey 101 about to get the axe, you gotta have that degree to fall back on!

Remember the good old days when Jamie Lynn Spears dominated the news? Well, pregnant little sis is back - and the celebrity news ain't good.

Since Britney Spears' 16-year-old sister announced she is expecting a baby with her long-term boyfriend, Casey Aldridge, many entertainment news sources have questioned the fate of her Nickelodeon show, Zoey 101.

Question no more. It was announced Friday that the fourth season of the hit "'tween" show will air as planned - but will be its final season.

"For now it looks like it has been canned," a Nickelodeon source said.

Zoey 101, a story about a cute young girl (Jamie Lynn Spears) who enrolls in a typically all-male school, is a hit show aimed at children ages 9-14.

But TV sources worried publicly that airing a season in which the now pregnant Jamie Lynn Spears stars will send the wrong message to children.

Come to think of it, the fact that Jamie Lynn's sister freaked out and had to be wheeled out of her home on a gurney wasn't good for PR either.

According to one report, Britney bragged to Jamie Lynn during her meltdown that she "wouldn't be the only Spears in the headlines this week!"

OK! Magazine, the now-infamous celebrity news and gossip source, could not possibly have purchased all the attention it enjoyed last month after it got the scoop that Jamie Lynn Spears is three months pregnant.

Or could it?

It is widely assumed within the publishing industry that OK! paid Jamie Lynn Spears' family for the exclusive rights to Jamie Lynn Spears pregnancy news.

Us Weekly, another celebrity news magazine, cited sources who said that Jamie Lynn's mother, Lynne Spears, sold them the pregnancy story for $1 million, an assertion that enraged her ex-husband and Jamie Lynn's dad, Jamie Spears.

Checkbook journalism is no secret in the celebrity gossip world.

The gossip publications often pay for photos of weddings and babies, perhaps most famously in June 2006 when People won a fierce bidding war for the first photos of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's daughter, Shiloh Nouvel.

Although People said that the widely reported $4.1 million price tag was not accurate, it did not offer an alternative figure; editors say that disclosing prices paid would work against efforts to keep the costs down.

  • A Pregnant Jamie Lynn Spears
  • Destroyed By Lynne Spears

But purchasing news of a pregnancy is as unusual as it is controversial. After OK! broke the story of a pregnant Jamie Lynn Spears, rival celebrity news tabloid Us Weekly boasted in its subsequent issue that OK! paid Lynne Spears $1M for it.

The two-year-old American edition of OK! Magazine, like its 14-year-old British counterpart, acknowledges paying for "relationships" with celebrities, but Sarah Ivens, the U.S. edition's editor, declined to discuss specific deals or figures.

"If there's something out there, there will be a bidding war," Ivens told The New York Times. "We're not bidding against ourselves."

When asked why she was less hesitant than some competitors to acknowledge purchase of celebrity photos, Ivens said: "I'm not very good at lying."

The interview with Jamie Lynn Spears, 16, drew copious attention to OK!, which sells far fewer copies than competitors like People, and provoked speculation about a relationship between OK! and Lynn Spears - a relationship strained by a disastrous photo shoot with Jamie Lynn's sister, Britney Spears, months ago.

Move over, Jessica Alba. Parents-to-be Jamie Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge were spotted out and about - and it appears she's already beginning to show!

Well, maybe at least. We'll be honest, this Jamie Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge photo - screen capped from Entertainment Tonight - is blurry as hell.

Pregnant Jamie Lynn Spears

Rumor has it, though, that the 16-year-old, pregnant Jamie Lynn Spears is farther along than 14 weeks, the time she told the media she's been with child. The picture below may not show much, but it'll be interesting to track this story ...

Okay, so this pic pretty much sucks and there may or may not be a Jamie Lynn Spears baby bump visible just yet. But either way, we do know three things for sure:

  1. Despite rumors that Casey is not the father, these two still seem close
  2. Lynne Spears is thinking up new ways to cash in on poor Jamie Lynn
  3. Britney Spears is straight up confused about where she is right now

We haven't heard from The Sports Gal in awhile.

But the wife of ESPN columnist Bill Simmons couldn't possibly keep quiet in the wake of Jamie Lynn Spears getting knocked up. Here's her professional take on it:

Off with the Shorts

My favorite part of this fiasco is that Britney is going to be an aunt and possibly even the godmother. Somehow this is scarier than her being a mom.

At least moms can lose custody -- if you're an aunt, you're always an aunt and this means Brit will always be around during the holidays. "Uh-oh, hide the cigarettes, Aunt Britney just pulled into the driveway!"
