James Gandolfini's death this year sent shock waves throughout Hollywood. Last night, his former co-star Edie Falco paid tribute to him at the Emmys.

As with the Cory Monteith Emmy tribute, there was not a dry eye in the house.

Edie fought back tears as she remembered her dear friend and co-worker, speaking of him kindly and remembering his big heart during an emotional speech.

“He has tremendous warmth and heart,” she said.

”He was far more interested in turning the light onto people he thought were more worthy,” she said, noting James Gandolfini's “fierce loyalty to his friends."

Two weeks after the untimely death of James Gandolfini, the details of this actor's will have been released.

According to The New York Post, the document was filed yesterday in Manhattan's Surrogate Court and listed Gandolfini's wealth at around $70 million at the time of his passing.

A majority of this estate will be passed on to the star's 13-year old son, Michael, and eight-month old daughter, Liliana.

Four days after James Gandolfini died of a heart attack, the actor's body is on its way back to New York City from Rome.

A funeral has been scheduled Thursday for The Sopranos star in The Big Apple, as the entertainment industry continues to wrestle with the unexpected passing of this legend.

Said family spokesman Michael Kobold in a statement today:

“On behalf of the Gandolfini family, I would like to thank the Italian authorities for all the assistance they have rendered in expediting the formalities necessary to repatriate James Gandolfini‘s remains to the United States.”

Autopsy results confirm that star James Gandolfini's cause of death - he suffered a heart attack and died of natural causes - a family friend told the media.

The 51-year-old's sudden death instantly shocked and saddened fans Wednesday. As previously reported, Gandolfini had been visiting Italy with family.

"Today we received the results of the autopsy, which stated he died of a heart attack, of natural causes," Michael Kobold said in Rome on Friday.

"The autopsy further states that nothing else was found in his system."

James Gandolfini died of a heart attack earlier this week, and the doctor in charge of the ER where he was taken says there are no suspicious factors.

That statement is unofficial however, with respect to drugs or alcohol.

Claudio Modini, the ER chief at the Italian hospital, says it looks like a heart attack, adding it was "probably a natural cause of death, myocardial infarction."

James Gandolfini had acknowledged he'd been addicted to cocaine and alcohol, and that substance abuse played a part in his 2002 divorce.

It's premature to say if drugs or alcohol were a factor, here, and it has not been established what, if any, toxicology tests will be performed on the actor.

James Gandolfini died tragically Wednesday at the age of 51.

Not surprisingly, the star's abrupt passing stunned and saddened Hollywood, with those who worked with Gandolfini reflecting on his acting genius.

"James is one of the greatest actors of this or any time," said The Sopranos creator David Chase. "A great deal of that genius resided in those sad eyes."

"I remember telling him many times, 'You don't get it. You're like Mozart.'"

"There would be silence at the other end of the phone."

Chase acknowledged, "He wasn't easy sometimes. But he was my partner, he was my brother in ways I can't explain and never will be able to explain."

James Gandolfini died earlier today in Italy, according to reports. The Sopranos star is believed to have suffered a heart attack, and was just 51 years old.

Deadline was the first source to report Gandolfini's death.

He was in Italy to attend the 59th Taormina Film Festival in Sicily, and was scheduled to appear in an event this weekend with director Gabriele Muccino.

"Everyone is in tears," a N.Y. Daily News source said.
