Hulk Hogan has seen better days.

First, his son - Nick Bollea/Nick Hogan - critically injured a close friend in a high speed car chase.

Now, Linda Hogan has filed for divorce after 24 years of marriage to the former WWE star.

Linda shocked her husband by filing divorce papers Tuesday in Pinellas County, records show. According to the St. Petersburg Times, a reporter reportedly broke the news to Hogan on Friday night.

He thanked the reporter for the "great information" - obviously taken aback - then called back five minutes later to say:

"I'm kind of shocked. You caught me off-guard. My wife has been in California for about three weeks... Holy smokes. Wow, you just knocked the bottom out of me... I just pulled over to the side of the road for five minutes to find out what was going on here."

We wonder how Brooke Hogan took the news.

Nick Hogan may have lost his pussy magnet - but at least he still has his father's love.

Hulk Hogan says that his son, whose real name is Nick Bollea, is moving ahead after the accident that almost took the teen's life last week.

The 17-year-old son of the WWE wrestler was discharged Monday from a Florida hospital after he slammed his Toyota Supra into a tree.

As Us Weekly, and other celebrity gossip sources have reported, Bollea was driving at a "high rate of speed" on August 26 when he lost control of his vehicle, which "inexplicably left the roadway," jumped a median and crashed into a palm tree, said Wayne Shelor, a spokesman for the Clearwater, Florida police.

"When I saw the wreck I didn't think anyone was alive. I never saw anything like that. I thought no one could have lived through that," Hulk Hogan said.

Hulk and Nick Hogan pose together. We assume Brooke Hogan was off making terrible music somewhere.

The massive-muscled reality star went on to deny deny rumors that his son had been drag racing at the time of the crash.

"It's just so unfair. There's not a bad bone in my son Nick's body, the most important thing to me was from all the eyewitnesses and from everyone who saw the accident, was that they were not racing."

Lastly, Hulk says Nick was not driving like Nicole Richie; i.e. drugs were not a factor in the accident.

"There wasn't alcohol or drugs involved. The police said everybody looked straight as an arrow, thank god for that," Hogan said. "Nick is doing well, he's got a broken arm and a broken rib and some stuff wrong with his knees but he's hanging in there. He's going to be ok and we're going to move forward."

Hulk Hogan can't be trusted to dish out very good insight.

After all, he allows his daughter Brooke Hogan to dress in clothing that Britney Spears might not even be caught wearing in clubs.

Hulk and his Ladies

So that what Hogan had to say about Chris Benoit with a steroids-laden grain of salt.

"He was peaceful and kept to himself," Hogan said to Us Magazine.

Hogan, who last saw Benoit in March, says he wonders what pushed the wrestler over the edge. But he has this unique theory:

"I think it had to be something personal, a domestic problem between him and his wife."

That wife, Nancy Benoit, had a darker side. The Hulkster concluded:

"She was into devil-worship stuff. It was part of her [wrestling] character, but [she was] somebody who gets so close to their character, someone who gets into their character too much. Sometimes these people believe their own publicity."

Stop us if you've heard this before: a reality TV show may be the cause of a divorce. Somewhere, Nick Lachey just rolled his eyes.

The latest casualty of this phenomenon may be Linda and Hulk Hogan. The couple has been wed for over 20 years, but sources say they're "going through a very hard time and their marriage is under a lot of strain."

A Classic Pose

The problems, shockingly, started several years ago when the family - including the couple's kids, awful pop singer Brooke Hogan and amateur race-car driver Nick - started filming the VH1 show Hogan Knows Best.

One friend said: "They have different beliefs on how to raise kids. Brooke started her music career, and they started getting into fights."

Maybe over whether or not their daughter to continue to follow the lead of Audrina Patridge.

Some of the well-documented battles on the show have been over how scantily clad Brooke should be.

Or how late she could stay out with boyfriends, or how frickin tall she's getting.

Another source of tension has been that Hulk, 53, desperately wants to get back into the wrestling ring, while Linda somehow believes that WWE isn't exactly the place for a man nearing social security age.

At one point, the friend said: "Linda got so fed up she quit the VH1 show. She just walked off. No one knows what started that fight but it was serious."

While Linda is now back on set to film the show's fourth season, this pair might be better served to talk to Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro. That union ended as soon as the cameras stopped rolling.

Two more weeks. That's how much longer we have to wait until the paternity test results confirm who the daddy of Dannielynn Hope Marshall Stern officially is.

For those of you who have been living under a rock, or have better things to do than follow this saga (oh, how we simultaneously envy and pity you), two dudes both claim to be the father of the latest spawn of Anna Nicole Smith. Why not one but two men, both able-bodied, would sleep with this nutcase, we have no plausible explanation. But that's a question for another time... and one to which there is probably no answer.

Bloodied Hulk

The fact remains that celebrity photographer Larry Birkhead claims he knocked up the former Playboy bunny a year ago on New Year's Eve (apparently they only slept together once?), and is the heavy favorite to be declared the baby's daddy. But last summer, the crazy Smith eloped with Howard K. Stern, who also says he sired poor little Dannielynn.

It's a chain of events that both amuses and confuses. But you can't get it off your mind when you are unlucky enough to see Smith. Just ask this WWE legend and absolutely enormous mustachioed man, Hulk Hogan, seen below partying with Smith:

No, it's not a battle of which washed up star looks better in black. Although that would be an understandable interpretation.

Instead, the photo seen here depicts WWE star, Hulk Hogan, facing off with Baywatch hunk and occasional nut job, David Hasselhoff.

A Disgraced Wrestler

The Hoff somehow won Comeback of the Year at the VH-1 Big in '06 Awards, while the Hulkster was showing support for daughter Brooke Hogan. The cheap, bad singer performed at the event.

The Hollywood Gossip would've given the Big Comeback award to Shar Jackson - come on, who could've predicted she'd find her way back into the news?

But we'll have to wait until we have a TV network before we can hand out any hardware.

Hey, Hulkamaniacs, what'cha gonna do when a Tampa Bay property is put on the market and runs wild on you?!?

That's the question Hulk Hogan fans now have to ponder, as the wrestling star has moved his family to Miami Beach and put his mansion near Tampa on the market. The cost on agreeing on terms for this Florida home loan? A cool $25 million.

Jennifer McDaniel, Hulk Hogan Kiss

The Hulkster (real name: Terry Bollea) and his wife, Linda, moved last month to a new $12 million bayfront estate on Miami Beach. They wanted their children, Brooke, 18, and Nick, 15, to pursue singing and acting careers. Brooke has already taken advantage of her father's name to sing the national anthem at a hockey game a couple years ago.

Now the 17,000-square-foot, French-style mansion - familiar to fans of the family's VH1 reality TV series - Hogan Knows Best, is on the market. The home has seven fireplaces, 2.3-acre grounds overlooking the Intercoastal Waterway and Gulf of Mexico, a guesthouse, swimming pool, waterfall and four-car garage.

"You can get lost in it," said Marcia Ellis of Coldwell Banker. We guess that's a good thing.

Hogan still owns a more modest place on Clearwater Beach, along with a home in Los Angeles that's on the market for a paltry $5.9 million.

"I've got to downscale," he told The Miami Herald recently. "We'll head toward Miami like the Beverly Hillbillies."
