Seriously, does Dancing with the Stars purposely seek out contestants that have posed in Playboy?!?

Following the news that Jewel might miss the new season of the show due to tendinitis in her knee, Us Weekly is reporting that the competition has found a replacement: Holly Madison.

The singer, who has been the crown (pun alert!) jewel of ABC's advertising campaign so far - due to her and husband Ty Murray both competing on season eight - released a statement this week saying she'd suffered a "minor setback," but added: "Don't count me out, as I am in this for the long run."

If Madison does replace Jewel on next week's premiere, she will:

• Be paired with Dmitry Chaplin;
• Become the latest contestant with a Playboy past, following in the nude footsteps of Brooke Burke, Kim Kardashian, Lisa Rinna, Denise Richards and Belinda Carlisle. Sheesh!

Holly Madison went from a wrinkly old man (Hugh Hefner) to a shady, womanizing illusionist (Criss Angel).

So, who is next in line for the former Playboy Bunny to date? No one!

"I'm never dating anybody again," she told People Magazine this week. "I don't need a man. I'm really happy with myself and being with my friends."

Madison still won't reveal the details behind her split with the Angel. But she has moved back to Los Angeles after having spent most of the previous four months living with her former boy toy in Las Vegas.

"I'm focused on forwarding my career," Holly said. "I'm working on producing my own shows. Girls Next Door was a great place to start but it was somebody else's show. I'm just ready to move on."

Madison's former co-stars have already done so:

Bridget Marquardt is hosting her own Travel Channel show, Bridget's Sexiest Beaches, which debuts on March 12; while Kendra Wilkinson will anchor a reality show this summer that chronicles her wedding to Hank Baskett.

During many threesomes with Hugh Hefner, it's safe to assume that Kendra Wilkinson often had the front of Holly Madison.

Following the latter's break up with Criss Angel, however, Kendra says she has Holly's back.

"She has so much love to give someone," Wilkinson said this week. "I hope that she finds someone to giver her that love back."

Following four intense months of dating, Madison and Angel announced on Wednesday that they were no longer a couple.

"I hope she stays happy and strong and I hope she finds someone that loves her for who she is – for her heart and for her giant boobs," said Wilkinson.

For Criss Angel and Holly Madison, the magic is over.

Following four months of dating and even rumors of an engagement, this couple has pulled the final rabbit out of its hat. The former Playboy Bunny and freaky magician are no longer an item.

"She was very much in love with him, and they're still very close friends," a source told E! News. "It was a conflict of schedules. She felt she couldn't devote 100 percent of her time in Vegas and his career at the expense of her career and her goals."

Madison will "come back to L.A. and pursue her career," the insider added, while we assume Angel will return to somehow bedding stars such as Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears.

Damn you, Hank Baskett and Criss Angel!

First, news broke that Kendra Wilkinson nude pics were a thing of the past, as the former Playmate pretty much said it would be inappropriate to pose in her birthday suit once she's married to Baskett.

Now, it's apparent that we can never look forward to Holly Madison nude ever again, either.

The model has quit the magazine entirely, as she recently blogged about her reasons for giving up her gig as a Playboy editor.

"I moved to Vegas, and that job doesn't pay enough to make a commute worthwhile," Madison wrote, regarding her new life with Angel.

Holly added that she "no longer found it challenging" to track down busty blondes to appear in Playboy's pages.

"It got to be routine, which was sad for me, since I was initially so passionate about the job and the creative aspects involved."
