Hillary Rodham Clinton, often referred to as simply Hillary Clinton, is a lawyer, the former First Lady, a member of the U.S. Senate representing New York State and a leading Democratic candidate for the presidency in 2008.

She served as First Lady under the 42nd presidency of her husband, Bill Clinton, from January 1993-2001.

Early on Hillary Clinton led most polls, but faced a stiffer challenge - in the form of Barack Obama - than many anticipated she would.

Hillary Clinton ran a historic and very strong campaign to be the nation's first female president, but she could not hold off Obama in the end. Can she rally the Democratic Party behind him in the November election? Stay tuned!
