With their split turning ugly months after it was announced to the public, a source close to Heidi Klum has responded to Seal's accusation that the model cheated on him with her bodyguard.

Simply put, the singer is an angry and jealous mean, this insider claims.

According to friends of Klum, the estranged couple signed a post-nuptial agreement earlier this year… yet that didn't stop Seal from asking for a giant piece of his soon-to-be-ex's $70 million fortune.

Klum refused, and even though Seal has now backed off his demands - and also backed off his allegations of infidelity - Heidi believes his recent lashing out is symbolic of why the marriage fell apart in the first place: the artist has a temper problem.

About that really clear statement Seal made this weekend? When he obviously accused Heidi Klum of cheating on him with bodyguard Martin Kristen? He'd like to take it back, thanks.

After telling TMZ he wished his ex-wife would have "at least waited until we separated first before deciding to fornicate with the help" and adding that the press has the answer it's "been looking for" regarding his split with the super model, the singer has now released a new statement through his rep.

It reads:

"Seal would like to clarify that he was not implying his wife was cheating while they were together, but he was merely pointing out that their separation and divorce are not yet final and they are indeed still legally married."

It's unclear how a separation must be finalized, but, hey this is really none of our business.

Klum, meanwhile, also released a rebuttal through a rep that states: "It is sad that Seal has to resort to this kind of behavior and spread these untruths about the mother of his children."

For the sake of those children, four of them, let's hope the estranged couple calls for a media ceasefire starting... right... NOW.

Seal and Heidi Klum ended their seven-year marriage in April.

And the reason why has now possibly come to light. His name is Martin Kristen.

The singer told TMZ last night that his relationship to the super model concluded because she was "fornicating with the help," a clear reference to Klum's bodyguard Kristen, with whom Heidi has been seen frequently over the last few weeks.

Seal did try to find the silver lining in the alleged affair, however, bringing up his four children and adding:

"To be quite honest, if there is going to be somebody else in their lives, I'd much rather it was a familiar face... I would have preferred Heidi show a little bit more class... But I guess you now all have the answer that you've been looking for for the past seven months."

Klum has remained mostly quiet about the split. But did she pose nude in Allure recently and Tweeted this bikini photo of herself.

If her ex-husband's tale is true, Martin Kristen is one lucky man.

UPDATE: Seal has now taken back his accusation of infidelity.

April has been a naked bonanza for Heidi Klum.

We previously saw Heidi Klum nude in Allure. Now the supermodel strips down to her birthday suit again - while painted in vibrant colors - for a new Astor campaign.

As you can see, she's lying on the ground seductively to promote the cosmetics line, smothered in streaks of bright paint symbolizing ... who knows honestly.

Seal has filed his response to Heidi Klum's divorce petition, and it looks like he's got a bone to pick regarding the couple's financial and custody situation.

Heidi claims there's a postnuptial agreement, which means there are no joint or community assets. But Seal's papers make no mention of the postnup.

How much is on the line? Heidi is worth an estimated $70 million. Seal is worth around $15 million. So potentially a lot, depending on how it's settled.

Interestingly, Seal is asking for joint physical custody of their four kids, while Heidi wants primary physical custody, with Seal getting visitation rights.

Heidi almost always has the kids when Seal is away, and given that he's away a lot on tour, giving her primary physical custody seemed like a no-brainer.

She isn't trying to block him from visitation, either, but who knows what goes on behind closed doors, or when there are divorce lawyers involved.

Seal also wants the judge to deny spousal support to Heidi, and vice versa. Given both of their fortunes, it's likely neither is entitled to support.

As for the date of separation, Seal is non-committal. He says it hasn't been determined. Heidi claims the date of separation was January 19, 2012.

That's just two days before their surprising split became public.

It really is over.

Nearly three months after announcing their surprising separation, Heidi Klum has made it official and filed for divorce from Seal on Friday afternoon.

A petition, which lists irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split, seeks joint legal custody and primary physical custody of their four kids.

In other words, she wishes to live primarily with Leni, 7½, Henry, 6½, Johan, 5, and Lou, 2, but with ample visitation and joint legal rights for Seal.

The model is also seeks to have her maiden name restored. She legally changed it to Seal's, Samuel, though professionally she kept using Klum.

"While we enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching, we have decided to separate," the couple said.

"We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart."

For the couple who wed in Mexico in 2005, the split played out in headlines as the end of a fairy tale as both gradually stopped wearing wedding rings.

Heidi Klum took the stage this weekend when UNICEF, a global charity organization, held a karaoke event with celebrities to raise money for a school in Africa.

At the event, Klum was set to sing “My Girl” with Smokey Robinson. He never showed up, which could've been a disaster, but things took a very positive turn.

The New York Post reported that Klum came out and told the audience the news: “Smokey stood me up. He was supposed to sing ‘My Girl’ with me."

"Will anybody else sing with me?”

Little did she know, there were other plans in motion. The host of the event suggested everybody join together in a rendition of the Village People’s "YMCA."

It turned out to be quite the star-studded performance!

Klum tweeted photos of the event showing herself and other celebrities in Village People attire. The celebrities joining Klum included Wayne Brady, Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson, and Castle stars Jon Huertas and Seamus Dever.

Talk about making awesome lemonade out of lemons.
