It doesn't sound like Heejun Han will be pulling an Erika Van Pelt.

The season 11 finalist was eliminated from American Idol last night, but while Van Pelt has expressed disdain for the judges' decision NOT to save her - saying in an interview that she feels shafted - Han spoke to reporters this morning and sounded at peace with the process.

"It was way too early to use their card," he said of the single veto permitted by the panel of three. "I'm pretty sure they're saving it for some other people. It was fair and square."

Han also said that performing "My Life" was his favorite moment during the run, even if Steven Tyler wasn't a fan of the comical rendition.

"We had our different perspectives," he said of his mini clash with the rocker. "I was trying to give a fun time to America because I thought it would be entertaining and fun. Maybe he took it wrong, but I can't please everyone."

Heejun Han made a fool of himself on American Idol last week, at least in the critical eyes of Steven Tyler. He laid in to this finalist for not taking the opportunity seriously.

So, did Han learn from his mistake on the top 9 performance show?

He sang a version of "Song for You" this week and somehow earned a standing ovation for the effort, with Tyler telling Han he "turned it around" and J. Lo giving him props for a "beautiful vibrato."

We guess? Heejun is clearly not Phillip Phillips, but there's room for diversity on Idol. Although... will that continue to be the case after tonight? Can Han really survive another cut? Watch his latest audition as we await his fate:

Steven Tyler was NOT amused by Heejun Han on American Idol last night.

The season 11 finalist chose to clown around throughout his performance of Billy Joel's "My Life," starting by telling the band to speed it up and then prancing around on stage, making faces, dancing like a goofball in front of the judges' table.

“Are you happy that you took the piss out of that song?” Tyler asked after Han was done, adding: “The music business will kick your ass. Sometimes you gotta be a bit more serious.”

But does he? Could this be a schtick that appeals to viewers? Watch and then vote below:

What did you think of Heejun Han's performance?

With the American Idol top 10 taking the stage again tonight, and with this shaping up to be one of the more hotly-contested seasons to date, it's time for the first THG Power Poll of the season.

Who do you see as the favorite right now?

American Idol Top 10

10. Deandre Brackensick: Would have been our choice to leave after last week's debacle. He can hit the high notes... and that's about it.

9. Heejun Han: Love the personality, don't see anything on stage that makes him standout above the rest. It's solid and nothing more or less.

8. Elise Testone: Might suffer some likability issues. Did you notice her NOT applauding for Erika last week? Or not hugging Skylar? Yes, we're forced to nitpick when the talent is this even. We did love her version of "Let's Stay Together."

7. Joshua Ledet: We expect plenty of disagreement here. It's not a question of his voice, just of his theatrics. Ledet's "When a Man Loves a Woman" may have been the single best of any contestant this season, but we can see his act growing old.

6. Skylar Laine: She has the energy and the attitude, that's for sure. She also has the identity: a rocking country chick. She just lacks the range.

Allow us to make the following request, American Idol producers:

If Heejun Han does not survive this week's cut, can you bring him back as Ryan Seacrest's co-host? Please? Pretty please?

The season 11 hopeful cracked us up last night before singing a single note, as he brought Mary J. Blige and Jimmy Iovine an autographed picture of himself. He then went on to belt out a nearly flawless version of "All is Fair."

A couple notes got away from Han near the end, however, which led Randy to comment about the audition merely being "really good" instead of "perfect." Like us, however, J. Lo loves this finalist so much that she couldn't bring herself to criticize him.

Watch the performance now and judge for yourself:

Did Heejun Han do enough to earn your American Idol vote?

The semifinalist took to the stage last night and belted out a version of "Angels," a song Steve Tyler deemed as the wrong selection.

But Tyler's fellow panelists had nothing but praise for Han - a common theme all night for Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson - with J. Lo saying the hopeful possesses a voice "smooth as silk" and Randy simply stating: You are a mad talented guy. Will that be enough to advance Heejun to the finals?

American Idol has named its final 12 men on season 11.

Okay, yes, there will actually be 13 men, but if the show is keeping the final semifinalist secret until he performs on Tuesday night then he can blame producers for being left off this list.

While we still have a slew of live auditions to go through, it's never too early to start choosing sides. Are you going with the 15-year old dubbed the next Justin Bieber? The guy so nice his family named him twice?
