Anyway, here's what this young star has to say about a certain beverage.

"You don't have to be a hero to feel invincible," notes one of The Hollywood Gossip's favorite celebrities. "That's why I drink milk. The protein helps build muscle, and some studies suggest teenagers who choose it tend to be leaner. Cheers to that."

Of course, it's easy for Hayden Panettiere to sing the praises of the "Body By Milk" campaign, of which she is the newest spokeswoman. The girl can't even buy booze! Come on!

Hayden Panettiere has got milk. And has got it goin' on!

We love to joke about her, but it's nice to see that for all the celebrity gossip she generates, Hayden Panettiere continues to set a good example for her fans.

Now if we can just get Britney Spears to stay home and have a glass of milk with Jayden James Federline once in awhile, instead of staying up all night partying topless and guzzling margaritas in the pool with Matt Encinias. Just an idea.

Hayden Panettiere celebrated her 18th birthday Tuesday in a big, important way ... by registering to vote at the Declare Yourself offices in Beverly Hills!  

Oh, and Hayden Panettiere also held a large birthday bash.

The actress and 75 friends and family partied at LG House in Malibu. On hand to help Hayden drink Diet Cokes were Stephen Colletti (Hayden's oh-so-lucky boyfriend of a year), BFF Rumer Willis and random family hanger-on Mario Lopez.

Also present were Heroes co-stars Adrian Pasdar (and wife Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks), Milo Ventimiglia, Greg Grunberg, Zachary Quinto, and Kristen Bell.

The food was Italian with pasta and Japanese with different types of sushi and rolls. The red velvet cake said (wait for it) "Happy Birthday, Hayden!" Fitting.

Having just turned 18, we suppose it's acceptable that Hayden Panettiere needs some blowing lessons. It took her five tries to get all those candles out!

The day we have been anticipating for so long has finally arrived. The amazing Hayden Panettiere is 18 years young today! Happy birthday, Hayden!

You all know what this milestone means. Hayden Panettiere can now register to vote and, next year, elect a presidential candidate who will continue the abominable Iraq war and send her away to risk her life pointlessly in a hostile, foreign land.

Sorry, Henry Hager, for that political diatribe. That was a cheap shot against your future father-in-law. It won't be the last, however.

Let's just focus on Hayden. The Heroes star and object of many adolescent male fantasies today becomes a legal adult... with all the benefits (heh, heh) therein.

Happy birthday, Hayden Panettiere, you cutie.

While there's no doubt Hayden's boyfriend, Stephen Colletti, is breathing a little easier (or heavier, if you will) on this day, it really doesn't change much for us.

Our point? Don't expect to be seeing Hayden Panettiere nude in magazines or movies anytime soon. This is actually an actress with her head on straight.

And whether she's 17 or 18, you're still 35, and dirty for thinking about it.

Hayden Panettiere and Kristin Cavallari have some things in common.

They're among the more attractive celebrites we talk about, for one, and far too young for some readers to start thinking about in that way without feeling dirty.

People spotted Hayden in an adorable striped bikini recently, and she's been hitting the beach in Malibu on lunch break from filming her hit show Heroes in a gold-trimmed number (right).

Meanwhile, former Laguna Beach star Kristin Cavallari, soaking up the sun - thanks to that revealing suit, wow - enjoys a visit to Malibu's Polaroid Beach House with beau Nick Zano.

Kristin, who dated Stephen Colletti (boyfriend of Hayden Panettiere) while in high school, recently moved in with Nick Zano, her boyfriend of about a year.

So it doesn't look like there's any bad blood between the two. In fact, Kristin and Hayden were all smiles when they ran into each other shopping fairly recently!

Kristin Cavallari and Lauren Conrad, though? That's another story.

Cameras snapped 17-year-old Hayden Panettiere on the Heroes set in Malibu, Calif., earlier this week - getting a little taste of her own hot self!

How about that thong action, huh? She may not be drunk, naked and teasing men in rehab or showing off her ample ass like some celebrities we know, but Hayden is proving that she need not be left out of the discussion when Hollywood's top teases are talked about.

We've been hinting at this for months, and have been trying to take the high road, given the star's tender age. But who are we kidding. Hayden Panettiere is hot enough to stop a clock... such as the one on our home page counting down the days until she turns 18.

The kick-ass cheerleader from NBC's sci-fi drama Heroes is the hot cover star of FHM's UK October issue. Yes, at the young age of 17, the sexiest girl on one of the world's biggest shows has entered many a nerd fantasy among fans across the world...

Hayden Panettiere is officially legal next month. Phew.

As much as she plays the part of the "bad girl" at times and is aware of her own hotness, don't expect her to go all Lindsay Lohan on us as her star power rises.

No, when reading interviews, it's apparent that Hayden Panettiere is remarkably grounded and mature for her age, making her all the more appealing to celebrity news outlets such as this. Did we mention she's gorgeous?

According to a fan site devoted to the underage hotness that is Hayden Panettiere, we only have 42 days (41.5, actually) left until we can feel slightly less dirty about discussing her.

Specifically, the kinds of thoughts she conjures up while strutting around town in ludicrously hot red dresses, like the one she sports in the photo taken at right of her at Nickelodeon Studios.

She may not be able to carry a tune, but the petite 17-year-old Heroes actress dropped jaws in this tight-fitting outfit over the weekend, making us think she's on her way to bigger and better things.

Anyway. When August 21 rolls around, the junior varsity Hollywood bad girl will be considered an adult, and will finally able to vote, buy cigarettes or join the military.

Oh, and have legal sex with Stephen Colletti. For that guy, 42 days has to feel like an eternity. Well, unless he's hit that already. Which he has, in all likelihood.

Come on. Guy two-timed Lauren Conrad with Kristin Cavallari for crying out loud. Clearly he knows a thing or two about sneakily getting some from hot teenagers.

For all of those fearing that Hyde has jumped the proverbial shark, well, this isn't about to dispel that theory.

The man best known as Danny Tanner partied it up in L.A. Sunday. Yes, Bob Saget was the biggest celeb at Hyde, according to TMZ's club spies.

At least the Olsen Twins are old enough to get sloshed with him now.

Meanwhile, underage hottie Hayden Panettiere was spotted outside her home after visiting Nickelodeon Studios to support her little brother, Jansen Panettiere, in his new TV movie, Last Day of Summer.

Only 42 more days until she's legal. Just saying.

Back east, Akon and Samantha Cole were spotted rocking out to Amy Winehouse tunes in the Hamptons at the pleasure palace Star Room.

Fortunately, Akon did not smack that (well, at least not in public). We're sure he tried his best to throw someone off stage. Danah Allyene was probably mad jealous.

While Akon looked on, lyricist extraordinaire L'il Jon entered the scene and entertained the crowd from the DJ booth, taking over the beats.

We can only imagine, having heard his collaborations with Usher about 10 million times, that this involved a lot of L'il Jon screaming "Okaaaaay" and "Yeahhh!"

Meanwhile, back in the city, she of the large booty, Kim Kardashian and himbo Wilmer Valderrama rocked the Estrada Entertainment party at Home.

Hey, when you're no longer with Mandy Moore, you might as well move on to an inferior model. That guy's bedpost must be enormous to accommodate all those notches.

She's Celine Dion, in fact, compared to the likes of Brooke Hogan. And certainly Ashlee Simpson and Britney Spears, who don't even sing in concert.

Let's put it this way. When Hayden Panettiere made her live singing debut at the Capitol Fourth concert, she more than held her own... and made many teen boys hold theirs.

Sorry. But seriously, she's halfway decent - and this isn't her day job!

If her rendition of "Try" (see video below) were up against the likes of this season's crop of American Idol aspirants, Hayden would lose to the elite contenders - Jordin Sparks, Blake Lewis and Melinda Doolittle - but she'd give everyone else a good run.

I love listening to Journey. They've got some awesome songs like "Don't Stop Believing" ... It's just a feel good song. It's like you're at a party, and they play that song and everyone just goes nuts.

Hayden's beach must-have:
A bocce ball set. My friends and I like to make out play.

Bikini or a one-piece?
I'm a bikini girl. Can't have those tan lines! I love wearing bathing suits. They're comfortable. You always feel like you have to look good in clothes. I feel so much more comfortable with a bathing suit on because nothing's constricting in bad areas.

I'm usually reading scripts, but I always love Harry Potter. I'm a dork when it comes to that. Harry Potter just takes you into a completely different world.

Movie Hayden is most excited to see:
Bruce Willis' film, Live Free or Die Hard. I think it's really cool that they're bringing him back. It looks really fun.

THG NOTE: Hayden may be a tad biased by her friendship with Bruce's daughter, Rumer Willis. But we're psyched for the return of John McClane as well.

Must-see TV this summer:
I love Entourage. It's a fabulous portrayal of what this business is really like. You've got the executive producer Mark Wahlberg, who knows all about the business and the actors in it who do, too. So you can't go wrong.

Summer food of choice:
I like a lot of fruit. I love mangoes and papaya and pineapple.

Dream destination:
I would go to Fiji ... I'm dying to. I just read something in the magazine the other day that there are these underwater hotel rooms now in Fiji that are literally made out of glass. It would be my dream. It's like $15,000 a person to go.
