Beautiful rocker, Gwen Stefani, recently sat down with Elle magazine. Here are a few excerpts from the interview:

On Madonna:
"It's weird that we have all these similarities. Madonna's had us over to dinner and stuff. She's always been very nice to me…I remember telling Madonna I was going to do an 80s dance record and she rolled her eyes, because I think when you've lived through it like she did, she's like ‘Whatever.' But a lot of my influence came from her early work, like directly, like a Xerox."

On her middle class upbringing:
"The hotel maid walked by today, and she's really pretty and she probably comes from Poland. And here I am about to spend a lot of money on room service and I was thinking, I could have been a maid."

On what her fans say:
"People always say the same things. That I'm smaller than they expected and that I look better in real life. Which is kind of a back-handed compliment."

On her marriage:
"I mean, of course me and Gavin have problems, sometimes. Everyone does. We've been together for over 10 years. This is, like, the real deal."

* The Hollywood Gossip note: This is about nine years and 51 weeks longer than Aaron Carter has been with Kaci Brown.

On 8-month-old son Kingston:
"He's pretty rad…Kingston is so chill. He goes with me everywhere, 'cause I'm still nursing. He's been to every studio in L.A., New York, London. He lives up to his name â€" total Rasta boy. He gives me real balance. You can go 100 miles an hour, but you have to stop to hang out with him."

On her difficult pregnancy:
"I thought I was going to be one of those Mother Nature girls. I figured, I'll just squeeze it out, 'cause I'm really strong and I work out and stuff.

[However] I would be seriously crying before I went onstage. I didn't know how I was going to get through the tour, putting on nine costume changes on a stage in front of 12,000 people every night. And I didn't want people to know [I was pregnant]. I didn't want it to become the Gwen Circus Freak Show â€" ‘Watch it grow onstage.'"

Gwen Stefani and her husband Gavin Rossdale are going b-a-n-a-n-a-s for a new piece of real estate they just snagged. Sorry, that's gotta be in the running for worst introduction to a piece of celebrity news ever.

Reports say Kingston James McGregor Rossdale's parents paid almost $15.5 million for a hot Beverly Hills mansion formerly owned by other prominent celebrity couple, albeit one without a cute baby - Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony.

J. Lo and Babs

Stefani and Rossdale, who welcomed Kingston into the world in May, plan to have more kids and raise a family in the luxury California property, which has four bedrooms, seven bathrooms and an infinity pool - whatever that is.

Lopez plans to convert to Scientology. God help her.

Stefani recently expressed her desire for more children, saying in an interview: "I pray that I can have another baby."

So do we. We like Gwen. And we love celebrity babies!

Forget launching a solo career.

Forget giving birth.

Gwen on the Red Carpet

Those challenges were nothing for Gwen Stefani.

At least not compared to the drawn out demolition of the hair edifice the singer initially erected on December 4 at the Billboard Music Awards.

This was a creation more outlandish than the pink 'do Rachel McAdams is now rockin.

But Gwen isn't the only one in her family to go against the style status quo.

Have you seen Kingston these days?

The tyke is bringing back the mohawk, essentially challenging Maddox Jolie-Pitt for for hair-spiking supremacy.

Which celebrity baby will win out?

It's hard to say.

In the meantime, check out these pictures from Us Magazine of Gwen's hairy evolution.

Sorry, Kingston James McGregor Rossdale, apparently you're not enough for mommy.

In an interview with USA Today, Gwen Stefani expressed her affection for her current tyke, along with a yearning to give birth to more.

"I pray that I can have another baby," Stefani said. "I mean, it's such a miracle to have one. And there's so much I still want to do, because who knows? Things could be a lot harder a few years from now. I mean, I'm not at the beginning of my career. I'm on a ticking clock. And I don't want to miss anything."

Stefani is friends with Heidi Klum, who has also expressed a desire to provide the world with more beautiful children.

Kingston was born on May 26 in Los Angeles and is already a show-business professional, says his mom.

"There's this huge team of us always hanging out together, so he gets to see the same people every day," Stefani said of her entourage of stylists, dancers and others. "And he's this very cool, chilled-out little guy. He's just like another person, except that he's super-cute and super-entertaining."

He's also been overshadowed by other celebrity babies in 2006. It's about time Kingston received some love over Shiloh Nouvel, Suri Cruise and Jayden James Federline!

Meanwhile, Stefani is planning to tour in the spring behind her new album with Kingston in tow. She's received a lot of credit for losing baby weight so quickly.

"That was one of the hardest things for me," Gwen said, "the pressure of, 'OK, I need to get into shape so that I can put this record out.' If I didn't have that pressure, I don't think I would have gotten the baby weight off so quickly."

Gwen Stefani performed her best version of "Wind It Up" on The Late Show With David Letterman, and like the incredible mom she is, she even brought along a special guest.

Awww. Little Kingston James McGregor Rossdale even got a cute Letterman t-shirt. It's nice to see that this pop star also seems like a great mom with her head in the right place. Yes. If you're reading this, Britney Spears, we are calling you out.

Stars have babies. Stars lose weight. Us Magazine reports on the process. It's the circle of celebrity child birth.

Britney Spears recently relayed her magical plan of eating less and exercising more to shed her Sutton Pierce (or Jayden James?) pounds to the publication.

Gwen Stefani Image

Most recently, Gwen Stefani called in to On the Air With Ryan Seacrest on L.A.'s 102.7 KIIS FM on Monday morning to launch her new single "Wind It Up."

The new mom, who gave birth five months ago to Kingston with husband Gavin Rossdale, also weighed in on getting back her post-baby bod. Here are excerpts from the interview:

Gwen Stefani: "The last tour for me was really challenging being that I was pregnant. And if you've ever been pregnant you know that it totally consumes you, so it was really ... I'm excited to go out there and have the baby on the outside!"
Ryan Seacrest: "Well I was gonna say, it's probably gonna be equally as challenging but in a different way because you have to bring Kingston along. So cute."

GS: "He's the greatest thing in the world, it's gonna be so much fun."
RS: "I like his fauxhawk."

GS: "Thank you, yeah ... He finally has enough hair to do something with it so, I was trying to do, you know, doing what I can with it. And his dad doesn't like the side part, he's not really into that, so I was trying to give him some cooler looks."
RS: "You're such a natural the way you hold him and everything."

GS: "Oh thank you. You know, there was no transition, it was just like, 'Where were you?' Like so great."
RS: "And who dresses Kingston?"

GS: "Both of us. But, this morning his dad dressed him. He has on a Bob Marley onesie and some like Comme des Garcons slacks or something, I don't know. He looks really cute."
RS: "It looks like you're keeping in shape though."

GS: "Let's just talk about how hard it's been ... That has been really hard trying to get rid of that baby, that whew! That was a big one but, it's almost down, it's almost gone."
RS: Are you dieting or just exercising?

GS: "You have to be healthy. I've just been eating healthy. I cheat every day at least once a day."
RS: "Can you drink beer yet?"

GS: "No, no not really."
RS: "You're not a beer drinker?"

GS: "I don't really drink a lot of beer anyway, it's not my thing. I don't come home and have, like, a six pack or anything." [laughs]

Gwen Stefani - who denies having skipped the VMAs due to any problem with Kelly Clarkson - certainly looked care-free during a stroll around the Big Apple over the weekend.

Then again, if Heidi Klum was by your side, you'd probably feel pretty relaxed, also. Or at least speechless.

In this shot, Stefani and husband, Gavin Rossdale, walk with baby Kingston alongside Klum, hubby Seal and their kids on Labor Day.

Earlier this summer, Gwen and Gavin spent a weekend with Brangelina and children. Could the couple be leading the way for of super human children to take over the planet?

We doubt it. They'll probably all just friends.

Ahhhh .... Kelly Clarkson!

Don't expect to see Gwen Stefani at the MTV Video Music Awards tonight - but if she decides NOT to boycott the event at the last minute, you might hear her scream one of the famous 40-Year Old Virgin quotes, made known by Steve Carell.

  • Gwen Stefani Image

Why would Gavin's more beautiful half attend not attend the festivites? Reportedly, she's still angry by how she was treated last year.

"She had a ton of nominations and was under the impression she would be taking home at least one award," an insider said. "But every award, except that lame best-dressed award, went to Kelly Clarkson, and every time Kelly won, the camera went straight to Gwen. She felt set up."

The Gossip isn't one to get in the way of a good catfight, but we hope Stefani appreciated being named Best Dressed more than this quote makes it sound like. After all, that's something not even Paula Abdul could come close to.

While Stefani's rep declined comment, rumor also has it that Gwen thought she'd be closing the show. Who did that honor go to instead? Clarkson.

T.H. Gossip has learned from a reputable source that Gwen Stefani, hubby Gavin Rossdale and baby Kingston James McGregor Rossdale have officially become the proud owners of a four-bedroom home in an exclusive gated community in Beverly Hills.

The cute rocker family purchased their new pad from Sam Nazarian, a mogul in the entertainment biz and the CEO of SBE Entertainment. He put the house on the block in April with an asking price of $15 million, and it's not clear whether Gwen, Gavin and Kingston paid less than that.

The seven-bathroom, 10,000 square-foot house spans two acres and features an infinity pool, tennis court, and movie projection room. We're not sure what the hell an infinity pool is, but man does that $hit sound tight.

Nazarian bought the residence from diva Jennifer Lopez in October 2004. Lopez owned the property for four years and married Marc Anthony on the estate in a hush-hush ceremony in June 2004. She has since moved on to produce terrible music and act in bad movies.

First, Britney Spears did it.

Now, Gwen Stefani is following the trend.

Apparently Take Your Daughter to Work Day has been replaced by Drag Your Kid to Recording Studio Week. Although this probably beats leaving the young one with some random nanny.

Either way, here's a shot of Stefani and little Kingston, leaving the studio where mommy must be hard at work on another record.
