Mother's Day is a wonderful celebration honoring our moms and celebrating motherhood, maternal bonds and the influence of mothers in society in general.

The X Factor carousel has stopped on Gwen Stefani.

One day after rumors surfaced that either Miley Cyrus or Demi Lovato would join Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid and Britney Spears on the season two panel, an insider tells The New York Post that this female singer is under consideration for a different role.

Host.

The singer would take over for Steve Jones, who was let go after a disappointing opening season.

A Fox insider says Stefani has been contacted, is interested and would seek compensation between $5-7 million.

“[Cowell] is feeling the pressure and knows only a big-time, well-respected name will do if he wants anyone to flip the channel from The Voice," the source claims, adding that the NBC hit may face off against The X Factor this fall.

Gwen Stefani is good people.

The singer has become the latest celebrity - following Sandra Bullock, Demi Lovato and others - to donate a large chunk of change to those affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

She has given $1 million to the Save the Children’s Japan Earthquake-Tsunami Children in Emergency Fund.

Says the artist: “I’ve been inspired by Japan for many years and have a true love, appreciation and respect for the Japanese people and their culture. The disaster in Japan is beyond heartbreaking and I want to do anything I can to help. I would never be able to make a gesture like this without the love and support of all the fans over all these years.”

Earlier this month, some of the biggest stars in the universe came out for a special that paid homage to Paul McCartney, Oprah Winfrey and Merle Haggard and aired last night.

Among the attendees at the Kennedy Center Honors were Oprah Winfrey, Barack Obama and Glee star Matthew Morrison. Artists such as Gwen Stefani, Sheryl Crow, Willie Nelson, Jennifer Hudson and Steven Tyler performed renditions of various classics on stage.

As she deals with rumors of her husband's infidelity, Gwen Stefani smiled on the red carpet with Gavin Rossdale last night.

The singer looked beautiful, especially compared to Alexa Chung. No offense to that TV host and personality, but simply put: what the heck was she thinking at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala?!?

Was this the worst fashion disaster at the event? Kristen Stewart might have something to say about it. Take a look at what that actress wore to the benefit. YIKES!

Who looked better on the red carpet?

It might not get any more adorable than this.

Dropping their celebrity status and picking up their children, Christina Aguilera and Gwen Stefani acted like any other mothers in America on Saturday night, dressing up and taking their kids trick-or-treating.

Stefani is seen below with husband Gavin Rossdale and children Zuma and Kingston; Aguilera, meanwhile, is matching son Max with her skeleton costume.

We don't wish to pit such cute, caring moms against one another; but, as a nationally-read celebrity gossip blog, we're contractually obligated to do so...

Who looked cuter on Halloween?

Gwen Stefani is the coolest chick alive.

Whether she's rocking out as part of a faux '80s band on Gossip Girl, debuting the trendiest fashions, looking far too good to be 39 years old or just hangin' with her husband and young sons, the No Doubt singer is always a breath of fresh air.

While son Kingston feels up Ruby Maguire, Gwen Stefani is showing off two-month old Zuma to the world.

The pair visited a library in Beverly Hills yesterday.

Zuma's dad, rocker Gavin Rossdale, describes the baby as "amazing" and "very sweet," adding:

"He hangs out. He's got his neck together. He's gone through with the floppy stage."
