Few other details are available at this time.

Monday night on his Symphonica tour in Prague, George Michael gave fans a rendition of Amy Winehouse's "Love is a Losing Game," then gave them a piece of very personal information - he and longtime partner Kevin Goss broke up.

"It's time to be honest," he said. "My love life has has been more turbulent than I've let on. This man has brought me a lot of joy and a lot of pain."

Michael then dedicated "Where I Hope You Are" to Goss.

As for Winehouse, it's no secret that George Michael was (and still is) a huge fan of the young star who passed away last month. He said:

"Amy was, in my opinion, the most soulful vocalist [we have] ever seen."

George urged Amy's label to re-release "Love is a Losing Game" in the wake of her passing, as it is "the way she should be remembered," and "as one of the greatest singer songwriters of all time, I hope she is at peace now."

His cover of the moving track (above) can only help that cause. R.I.P. Amy.

The penal system in this country can't contain Lindsay Lohan, but George Michael actually served four weeks in the UK before enjoying the taste of ... freedom.

The singer was released from jail Monday after serving about half of an eight week term for DUI and possession of marijuana, the AP reports. Not too shabby.

George pleaded guilty to the charge soon after the accident.

Thrown in the slammer September 14 after crashing into a storefront with his Range Rover, Michael admitted he smoked marijuana and had taken a sedative.

"I just want to start again," the AP quoted Michael as saying upon his release, which is contingent upon him abiding by his parole and paying $2,000 in fines.

He has lost his driver's license for five years.

George Michael's recent arrest for driving under the influence has resulted in a brief jail stint for the star. He'll do eight weeks' time. Ironic for the "Freedom" singer.

On July 4, the 47-year-old singer admitted getting behind the wheel of his Range Rover while high on the weed and crashing into a building. Never a smart move.

At least George, seen below on his way into court today, was looking dapper and in good spirits before the sentencing. Might as well go down in style ...

No word on when George Michael will begin serving his jail sentence.

Another year, another arrest for George Michael.

The singer was taken in Sunday night on suspicion of being unfit to drive, following a bizarre accident in which he crashed his car into a London building.

The BBC has confirmed that Michael was behind the wheel and has been released on bail.

This is just the latest in a series of arrests for Michael. He faced drug possession charges in 2007 when he was found slumped over the wheel of his vehicle in Hyde Park.

Two years later, he was arrested for DUI, but released without charges.

In a statement, the singer says: "I want to apologize to my fans for screwing up again, and to promise them I'll sort myself out. And to say sorry to everybody else, just for boring them."

We have no idea what George Michael is talking about. The guy is many things. Boring is not one of them.

What is it with celebrities driving under the influence these days?

Everybody's doing it. Eve. Nicole Richie. Busta Rhymes. Paris Hilton. Ty Pennington. Frankly, we're shocked Britney Spears hasn't been busted.

Anyway, George Michael has just pleaded guilty to a charge of driving while unfit through drugs, admitting he was a little too funky on prescription meds to handle a car when he was arrested last October.

George Michael told the court in North London, according to wire reports, that he got into his car "when I was unfit to drive" and that his episode was "fairly predictable considering how much work I had done that week."

Well, at least he's honest and not trying to shirk responsibility.

Cops arrested Michael - whose real name is George Panayiotou - as motorists complained that a Mercedes-Benz was blocking traffic in North London and then found the "Monkey" singer passed out.

At least he didn't try to assault cops like Jason Wahler would have.

Michael will be sentenced May 30, after more drug tests are administered. A charge of being in charge of a vehcile while unfit through drugs was dropped.

The troubled pop star, who's been involved in many a sex scandal, was first discovered snoozing at the dashboard - in a Range Rover - last May, and was cautioned for drug possession last February.

Is another George Michael sex scandal brewing?

Several British papers are reporting that Michael was seen emerging from the bushes of a London park last Tuesday -- and they are saying this was following an alleged sexual tryst with another man, who goes by the name Norman Kirtland.

Police reportedly have no plans to investigate, but the alleged encounter nevertheless conjures up memories of 1998, when Michael was caught by an undercover police officer (allegedly) trying to have sex in a California public bathroom.

The timing is intriguing as well, for the latest alleged incident comes as Michael plans to marry his longtime partner, Kenny Goss. The two have said they will marry later this year, and Goss is said to be supporting Michael despite the alleged reports. Goss insists that Michael only wants his sex, not yours, and both say that you gotta have faith... in the legal system.

Michael, 43, released a statement insisting the stories are not true. The singer, who has sold an estimated 80 million records over the course of his career, also made headlines in February when he was arrested on suspicion of drug possession after being found slumped in his car at the corner of a busy London intersection.
