Elisabetta Canalis may have dated George Clooney for years, but the 33-year old model has come out and denied reports that she was pressuring the actor into having kids or getting married.

After all, Canalis says, "between us there was more of a father-daughter relationship."

The former Dancing with the Stars contestant makes this strange comparison in Bruno Vespa's new book "Questo Amore" ("This Love"), saying there's no bad blood at all between her and the Oscar winner, 50.

She considers Clooney "the person who valued my feminine side the most" and "also one of the best people I have met from a charitable point of view," adding creepily again: "He has been a special for me, and very important, just as a father would be."

While George Clooney has been hopping - okay, flying first class in a private jet - from red carpet to red carpet over the last few weeks, most eyes have been trained on the woman on his arm. And for good reason:

Stacy Keibler is far from unattractive.

But the actor has also given fans multiple looks at various events honoring his two latest movies, The Ides of March and The Descendants. Below, we're asking readers to compare his cool and casual look at a photo call in London... with his jacket/no-tie outfit at the London Film Festival... with his grey suit at the NYC premiere of the former film. Let there be no doubt: Klooney lives!

While George Clooney and Stacy Keibler were spotted together last month at the Toronto Film Festival, they managed to avoid posing for any photos as a couple, simply meeting at various times for dinners and meetings.

But the twosome stepped right into the spotlight over the weekend at the New York City premiere of The Descendants (trailer HERE), smiling for photographers on the red carpet of The Lincoln Center:

Two weeks ago, Clooney and Keibler celebrated the part-time actress and former WWE Diva's birthday with a vacation in Cabo San Lucas, as Stacy Tweeted: "Chasing the last days of 'summer."

Keibler might wanna be on the lookout now for female Clooney fans that will soon be chasing her.

Safe to say George Clooney will not be voting for Herman Cain in 2012.

While the GOP Presidential hopeful raised eyebrows this week by telling those at "Occupy Wall Street" protests in NYC to blame themselves for their joblessness and/or lack of prosperity, The Ides of March star stands behind the movement.

"It seems great," he said. "I feel terrible because we've been on tour for so long, I haven't quite been able to catch up with the whole thing and [be more involved]."

"I'm a Democrat so I support Democrats," Clooney said, adding that "I'm not one of those people that runs and hides when things start going south."

Slightly less famous but more directly involved is Gossip Girl star Penn Badgley, who was picketing personally this week. Yep, carrying a sign and all.

"I mean, listen, it's cheesy," he said, "but I want to do whatever I can."

"Let's be honest: I'm on f--king Gossip Girl. It's absurd that celebrity power is what it is, even on that scale, but, like, use any tool you have, you know?"

Well put. Other stars such as Susan Sarandon, Mark Ruffalo, Russell Simmons and Michael Moore have also been spotted picketing at Zuccotti Park.

One is likely the hottest young name in Hollywood, both in terms of looks and talent.

The other may be the hottest name in Hollywood, period, an Oscar winner, actor, director and activist.

And, incredibly, The Ides of March will feature both Ryan Gosling and George Clooney, as the former plays a political strategist (and talks to our friends at Movie Fanatic in this exclusive interview) to the latter's Presidential candidate. We wonder what plan he'd come up with to win the following showdown:

Gosling or Clooney. Which of these stars would you rather... you know? Vote now!

And the Winner is?

They are both talented and very, very attractive. But you can only vote for one Ides of March star to get it on with. Good luck! View Poll »

In The Ides of March, which hits theaters Friday, an up-and-coming press secretary (Ryan Gosling) finds himself involved in a major political scandal that threatens to upend his candidate (George Clooney)'s shot at the presidency.

While some have drawn parallels to the Rielle Hunter scandal that derailed the career of John Edwards, Clooney tells Movie Fanatic in an interview that his character and the story at large were not based on any particular politician.

Moreover, the film is more about moral choices than politics.

George Clooney in The Ides of March

"We're reflecting the mood of our country and our world," Clooney said. "If the film reflects some of the cynicism, that's probably good, it's not a bad thing to hold up a mirror to our politicians. But that wasn't what the film was designed to do."

"There isn't a person you have met that hasn't been met with moral questions," he adds. "Everyone makes moral choices to better themselves and hurt others along the way and whether the means justifies the ends."

Clooney discussed the movie's complex themes and raved about its cast, which includes Gosling, Paul Giamatti, Marisa Tomei and Philip Seymour Hoffman.

The bad news for Elisabetta Canalis? She was eliminated from Dancing with the Stars this week.

The good news for Elisabetta Canalis? Ex-boyfriend George Clooney made a rare public statement about a relationship and came to the model's defense.

In response to the latest issue of Us Weekly, which claims Canalis sent the Oscar winner a series of angry text messages after she learned he was dating Stacey Keibler, Clooney has released a statement that reads:

The story "was completely fabricated in order to sell magazines. I never comment on my personal life unless it affects others...and this lie affects others. Since I would be the only actual witness, I ask you to correct your story immediately, but that would assume you cared at all about telling the truth."

Don't hold your breath for a retraction, George.

George Clooney is the anti-Kim Kardashian.

He doesn't star in a sex tape, he possesses true talent, he is involved in numerous charities, his personality is more engaging than that of a mannequin. Oh, and you'll never find him on a social media network.

"I don't Tweet, I don't go on Facebook," Clooney says in the latest issue of Parade. "I think there's too much information about all of us out there. I'm liking the idea of privacy more and more. There will be funny things, like I'll read something I've said about a woman somewhere. And I haven't spoken about my relationships in 15 years."

The Oscar winner also jokes about his latest film - or doesn't joke, sadly - and why The Ides of March is relevant right now:

"We were in preproduction on this film in 2007, before the Obama election. And then we realized that a good portion of the country was elated with what happened in that election, so we had to shelve the movie until people were cynical again. I didn't think it would be quite this quick [Laughs]."

Co-starring Ryan Gosling, Paul Giamatti and other big names, The Ides of March comes out on October 7.

It's officially on for George Clooney and Stacy Keibler.

Following rumors of their relationship, and a meal together Thursday night, the new couple made its public debut at the Toronto Film Festival yesterday, holding hands at the after-party for Clooney's upcoming movie, The Ides of March.

Asked on the red carpet of the premiere for the movie what she liked best about Clooney, Keibler responded: "Everything!"

A source, meanwhile, tells Us Weekly the two were "comfortable and affectionate and seemed socially poised as a couple. The two clearly work not only as a pair, but also independently. [Stacy] really stood on her own. George was not overprotective and didn't have to look after her."

There's only one thing this pairing needs now: a nickname. Vote on the catchiest now:

Perhaps George Clooney is not mentally imbalanced after all.

Questions over the actor's sanity have been surfacing ever since he split from Elisabetta Canalis this summer, with the confused chatter growing even louder this week upon the unveiling of that model's nude PETA photos.

But Clooney showed up for the Toronto Film Festival yesterday with Stacy Keibler on his arm, solidifying rumors that these two are an item. They stopped by the Ritz-Carlton last night.

Clooney introduced his new gal pal to a number of film executives, an insider says, adding that the former WWE Diva "looked stunning" and "so refined" and that "Clooney didn't bring any of his own team - just Stacy."

"Looks like it's official!" said the observer, while another friend agreed: "It's exclusive...they're hot and heavy."
